I work doordash. On 8/24/23 I delivered an order to a resident at ***************** Apartments at ******************************************** at 2am. When I arrived, I located the building and there was a vehicle behind me. I turned right and the vehicle went straight. I located the building and pulled over to the side, a red lane. I located the unit, dropped the order off, took a picture, and left. The entire transaction took 2-3 minutes. Walking back to my vehicle a tow truck was in front of my car. I pressed the key remote to flash the lights to notify them that I was there. That's when they lifted my vehicle and sped off. I chased and yelled for them to stop, and while running, my phone fell out my pocket. I pressed my alert button and they finally stopped at the exit gate. I told the men that "I'm working doordash and what are they doing?! I was only here for 2-3 minutes and it's 2am in the morning. There's nobody here!" Then I was asked to turn off the alarm, which I did and I was told by them that I was parked in the red zone with no hazard lights on. I was told it's $140 to drop the vehicle or $300+ to pick it up from their yard. I asked to speak to their boss and was told that "he's sleeping". I ended up paying the $140 charge on my card to drop my vehicle. I then asked for their business card and called it and I spoke to the boss and I explained everything that occurred and was told that I "should have had my hazard lights on and "sorry bud". ***************** Apartments stated that they were unaware of the incident but the front office staff said they would contact EP Towing. I have heard nothing since speaking with them on 9/1/23. I've been doing this for over 3 years now and I've never had an experience like this before. I feel as though this was predatory towing practice. After going back and forth with the tow truck drivers I couldn't call the police because my phone fell out of my pocket, but I sincerely felt violated by what they did. Please assist in any way.

Green 4- door **** ***** Civic.July 8, 2023 at 1:45 AM:Packing my lunch before work:I checked my car at 1:55 a.m. to make sure my car was still there.I check again at 1:57 a.m. and my car is missing. I wasn't in the apartment for no longer than 5 minutes. I call local authorities at 2:02 a.m. (towed by EP TOWING)Tow truck driver poached my running vehicle. He offered ZERO resolve, knowing he had taken my car actively running. I had to pay $580 to release my car. They didn't care how the driver got my car. Ticket: Tow truck operator states that the time of the tow was "2 a.m." I noticed my car missing at "1: 57 a.m."Driver States my car was in the fire lane and blocking other parking spots. NO "red markings". NO active cars. NO active traffic. If I we're to be physically sitting in the car, the driver would have NOT towed my car. My actively running car represents "presence" and "immediate return".Tow truck driver did NOT physically "inspect" my car before towing. My car was in a "LOOP". Not a "Through section"). The driver reversed immediately in front of my vehicle. He did not exit his vehicle to "inspect" nor "Watched my car for 10 mins before towing my car".Please look into ANY dashcam footage. There should be a time stamps (receipts) of:- The transaction of the "drop off fee". (HAD ANOTHER CAR PRIOR to towing mine)-The time this driver notified the authorities.(before taking my car)Tow truck driver was fraudulent on his ticket.I work very hard for money and refuse to let it go by a biased Apartment complex and a company that doesn't want to assume accountability. This is very lazy and an unethical manner to reoccur revenue.Look up my call to the operators. I state the time of "1:57 a.m." of my car missing. These details will prove that I am just in my complaint. Id like my full reimbursement of $580. ( Not including the money lost from missing work ).
