Date of transaction was March 15, 2024, for the amount of $5698.00. This payment was for ending my ownership of a timeshare. I was promised phone call after receiving the above payment to start the process. On March 20, I was given a representative by the Name of ****************** who claimed the certain documents were needed, but not to worry he would obtain them from the timeshare himself, and he would call us back at a certain day and time. That phone call never came. So, we would call him and were told by a female he was in a meeting and she would have him return our call. This process continued several months of him setting a day and time to call us with information on the progress but never did. After several attempts of calling ***** someone else answered the phone who stated he would assist us. He too did not return our calls. After much time had passed, we called back and spoke with ***** finally and he indicated that our case was in the termination process, and he would get to us within a certain time that day. After looking at the time frame he was to return our call, we saw that it was the time the office closed for the day. As usual the call never came. This company if a fraud and ripping consumers off!!!!

I contracted with Americas Consumer Advocates to eliminate my timeshare at ****************************** in ****************** **************. They took my ****** dollars and now I am unable to reach anyone at their phone numbers. I would not have done business with them if they were not BBB accredited.

We spoke to the client and she understands the timeframe of the process. Her file was started January 2023 and should finish by January ****. Client knows she does not need to do anything at this time other than allow her resort to recover the timeshare.

Date of Transaction: 12/18/2022 Amount Paid: $7298.00 using Chase Credit Card The business committed to cancel our timeshare with **************** Vacations(HIVC) after they were paid for their services. A verbal agreement was made, during the phone call on 12/18/2022 starting at 9:59AM EST lasting for 1 hr 6 min and 24 sec, that guaranteed us they, ACA, would contact HIVC within 2 weeks of cleared payment to inform them of legal proceedings and to stop communication with us. That communication never happened. We were asked to stop payments to HIVC because that was part of the "legal plan" and to not initiate any communication with HIVC that they would handle the communication with them. This is a clear breach of a verbal contract made prior to the written contracts that are linked to this complaint. After many phone calls and being told to wait longer, an employee was fired, and this is the process, we finally asked for a refund. We were even handed off to a different person outside of ACA that said it is never recommended to stop payments on a timeshare. I asked for proof of what work was done outside of having us sign the 2 documents and was not given any proof of work done. The early termination refund document showed we were to wait for 6 months before we would be refunded the amount shown in the document. The contract was breached before work even started and after the 5 day Right to Rescind. We tried to work with ACA to get a full refund of $7298 since no service was provided. We followed everything requested of us and was not shown anything that ACA was actually working on our part. We simply want a full refund due to the breach of the verbal contract/agreement that was made prior to us transferring money for services to be rendered and noted by us during the call on 12/18/2022. If full refund of $7298 is provided no further action will need to be taken.

After reviewing the status of the clients request on March 27th, 2023 the refund was accepted for the early termination request and they were provided with a breakdown of the requested refund. Per our clause of Early termination, we provide the client to terminate our agreement if the client has a change of heart. The clients were sent the breakdown of the request and contacted via phone call and agreed to those terms and the request was submitted.
Clients then emailed, threatening to utilize this platform to get a full refund instead of what they had already agreed to. Clients were contacted to delegate a different solution but clients refused to find a solution directly with ACA and said to deal with the BBB. Since there was no faith to work things out directly with ACA, ACA has agreed to refund clients the way they had initially agreed to and ACA has stopped all attempts of all said services as of March 27th, 2023 when the request was submitted by the clients.

Contracted company to see if they could help us a time share. Aprox 14 months ago. We have tried for the past 4 1/2 months to get an update on the case. Four times during that time, we were told we'd be called with updates and no calls came. We have left messages daily for one week to call us. We have received a collection agency notice on monies we were instructed to not pay or discuss with the time share or the collection company
