I am writing to seek your assistance in resolving a payment dispute with Remotasks. Despite fulfilling my obligations, I have not received the agreed-upon payment for my services. The details of my complaint are as follows:1. On December 29, 2023, I received an invitation from Remotasks to participate in their ******** Collection Project, offering $700 for qualifying datasets.2. I submitted a dataset meeting their criteria via their provided ****** form, including my ****** email for payment.3. On April 13, 2024, Remotasks notified me that my dataset was accepted and payment of $700 was supposedly sent to my ****** account.4. Upon discovering no payment in my ****** account, I contacted ********************** support as instructed.5. Remotasks informed me the payment was sent to my Remotasks account as a bonus but was blocked by IT since my account had been discontinued due to privacy concerns where my primary email associated to the account had been hacked and some breaches were made. They asked me to choose between receiving it via Remotasks or ****** once unfrozen. I chose *******6. On May 10, 2024, Remotasks emailed stating they were attempting to unfreeze the funds for payment via Remotasks, or would send via ****** if unable to do so.7. Since then, I have sent multiple follow-up emails without receiving any response.I have made repeated attempts to contact Remotasks through their support email, but have received no response since May 10, 2024.I believe Remotasks' actions violate fair business practices and potentially consumer protection laws regarding timely payment for services. I am concerned about the extended delay, lack of communication, and the fact that they may be using my confidential business information without compensation.I would greatly appreciate your intervention in this matter to help reach a fair resolution. I just want Remotasks to sent the compensation on ****** as they indicated.

I was working under the micro1/remotasks agreement that ended on the 25th of April. My remotasks email was *********************************************** and my secondary email is this one: ************************* I haven't received the payment of the hubstaff delta for the first two weeks of March. This delta is approximately 160 hours at a rate of 41 USD per hour. At first, micro1 told me to wait two weeks and that my case had already been flagged. But, the sudden end of the collaboration between micro1 and remotasks leave me without a point of contact. It has been 3 months since I worked those hours but no payment has been made, when remotasks sent the termination notification there was a part in the message which mentioned that the missing money would appear within 1 day. It has been more than a week since that message arrived but there is no money in my balance in remotask or in my PayPal. I already sent a support form but I lost access to remotasks support because of the migration to Outlier. The case has been open for more than 3 months and there is no payment related to hubstaff conciliation. I already sent the hubstaff screenshots, here are as attachments. As a user of the ********************** platform, I would like to file this complaint against this business for bad practices against a customer like me.

Good day, I am a PHQA/freelancer of this company (remotasks) since 2020. My concern is about my 28 unpaid tasks and it's been already one month since I submitted these tasks. I already filed dispute tickets three weeks ago but nothing happens. The assigned QMs of this particular project ( Anteater 3 D VLM FWP Group ) are unresponsive. They have no updates regarding with the over delayed payment until now. This job is my only source of income. I have monthly bills to pay such as apartment, electricity, internet connection and water. Also, groceries and other expenses, how am I supposed to survive without those payment? Currently, we have no available project to work on that's why I really need those payment. I will upload one page of my task log as my supporting document. I'd appreciate an update when you have a moment. Please help me, thank you.

I am writing to file a complaint against Remotasks regarding their mishandling and refusal to pay me for hours worked, and eventual suspension of my account without proper justification. Here is a summary of the issue:On 12/30/2023, I received an email from Remotasks stating that my account was suspended due to a violation of their Terms of Use. Despite multiple attempts to seek clarification, I never received a specific explanation for the suspension. I worked diligently from Thursday of the previous week, but my hours on Hubstaff were not reflected in my Remotasks account due to maintenance on Hubstaff's end. I reached out to my TSM on *****, who assured me that I would be paid the following Wednesday, but the payment never came. After continuing to work with the expectation of receiving rollover pay plus the current week's earnings, my account was suddenly suspended on payday. This timing was extremely distressing and unfair, especially since I had worked tirelessly on the ********************************************** responded, acknowledging an error led to my account suspension and promised reactivation and payment in the next cycle. Despite their assurances, I was unable to access my account, and my payments were never released. I repeatedly contacted their support team, receiving either no response or generic replies that did not address my specific concerns. The situation has caused significant emotional and financial distress. I was left without the payment I was counting on to pay my bills and rent, putting me in a dire situation. Despite my continued efforts to resolve the issue amicably, Remotasks failed to provide a satisfactory resolution.I request the Better Business Bureau's assistance in facilitating a resolution to this issue. I seek the immediate release of my pending payments. This experience has left me feeling undervalued and mistreated, and I hope for a swift and fair resolution.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This business deactivated my account without substantiation or explanation while accusing me of community violations but will not provide any proof. This is not a way a company should treat people.

I was offered this job by a recruiter on LinkedIn, which is not unusual. I was sent all the information and applied, supplying all necessary documents and information. After acceptance I was assigned a job, training ( to be paid for but not), completed all payment information, and started the job. then bumped up as I did well and was now considered and expert. The payment was through Paypal. The first payment was for 0.29 (cents). Then was offered $300.00 as an incentive if I worked 20 hours extra in a short period of time. I only made 9.33 hours. I was then paid $ ***** for the incentive (not $150 for half the hours). Payment for work was to be every Tuesday. I have not been paid for my work which is at the rate of $54.00. No one on my team responds. Then I was bumped up to a special team and started training but not recording of hours. So as I inquired as to why time was not being recorded I got dumped through email and Slack, a communication tool, by a Bot! That said not to contact them any more (paraphrasing). I have made several attempts to reach them regarding this matter using their designated support system. It keeps saying resolved but i have not received pay and I check daily.

I was tasking on Remotask platform and my phone got turned off back in November 2023. I wasn't able to even see my tax documents because I can't log in and it is going to cause an is*** with the ****

Remotasks advertises themselves as an AI training company that pays people per task. They continually hire while not paying people who they have already had perform tasks, or paying weeks late. They also have as system of having "reviewers" go over other people's work, with no clear definition of what constitutes poor work. So one person's work is good while another who does it the exact same way is flagged for poor performance. They continually have bugs that prevent people from doing their work, which for an AI tech company is shameful. They have such short time limits for each task that they encourage ******* through over quality work. Customers should be appalled at Remotasks tactics. I personally received multiple emails saying I had poor quality and had been removed from projects that I had never tasked on. This has happened to numerous people, so many in fact that it makes one question whether Remotasks is even a legit business or just a shell company.
