I purchased a second number from open phone 5/28/24 and their services didnt meet the requirements. I forgot about this service until I was billed the following month 6/28/24 in which I emailed them and requested cancellation and a refund. I received an email back that they would handle the matter only to find out later that I was still being charged through 1/25. I reported problem to ***** they reviewed my request, refunded me for only April and August and started the other months were not eligible for a refund. I requested a second review and end with the same result. The email I made the purchase with is ****************** and the ticket#ID is ****** for my cancellation/refund request.

Fraudulent business activities and false advertising. This company advertises it offers live customer support from 9 am - 5 pm, this is not true, they offer a robot who will forward your issue to support, who may or may not get back to you within a week or so. It is a telephone company that offers no telephone support. It is not possible to actually speak to a human with this company. Furthermore, the company is currently costing me hundreds of dollars because it is bugged and failing, and causing a very expensive mail campaign to fail due to calls from leads not coming into the system or being able to be answered. This company needs investigated for consumer fraud.

II subscribed to OpenPhones annual phone service in June 2024. Recently, I lost access to the phone service I paid for, and despite several attempts to contact the company, they have refused to respond. I reached out multiple times via email and their chatbot without receiving any answers. On one occasion, I managed to obtain an email address for one of their collaborators, but despite my follow-up messages, there has been no response. The phone service is still non-functional.

Open phone has repeatedly try to dodge me and others on my team when asking for support. We requested support many times via email to no avail. They offer a 'calendly' link that only supports times in the middle of the night...only to not give you a meeting invite or link to call. This is ridiculous. My coworker has effectively been scammed out of her annual plan because OpenPhone refuses to support this issue. Customer support is atrocious and they cannot help you change your plan, change registration or anything of that nature. Please avoid and use GoogleVoice instead. The fact that I have to go to the BBB just to get in contact with you guys is ridiculous.AVOID

The business charged my bank account fraudulently. I have never been in contact with or hired the company, but they set up auto bank charges on my account. I'm trying to dispute it with the bank.

I created an account with this company on April 2, 2024. This was to provide a phone service for my single ***** number for my company. The company "ported" my business number to their service and charge me $276 for an annual, 12 month plan. Fair enough.During a busy business season in late April our bank issued a new credit card to us. Happens all the time. We scheduled time in early May to go through all of our vendors to update credit card info. This company 1) Charged an additional, unauthorized $56 to my old card. and then tried to bill again for unspecified charged, even though our contract clearly stated I now have a one year contract with them. 2) They cancelled the account within less than 10 days of a the card being inactive. Furthermore, they would not say what the charge was for and will not respond to any requests for clarification. They now want to charnge ANOTHER $325 to active the account again. Another furthermore??? They are not returning my one and only phone number and saying they will just "release" it or cancel it all together. I JUST transferred this number to them less than 60 days ago.I would hope the BBB of Bay Area would at least try and address this. Their erroneous and unscrupulous billing practices are indeed buried in their fine print, but I question the legality of basically stealing my business phone number.

This company is openly discriminating against customers. They canceled my account after I verified with my photo ID. The only thing they would have to use to cancel my service is my photo. I didn't even use the service. Please investigate this company for any violations of the Civil Rights Act.

For two months I have been trying to sort this USA carrier registration out and it is still not working. I cannot receive or send text messages or phone calls to and from the ***.- my ****** Media phone number was ported over to OpenPhone over a year ago. I now have a VOIP open phone account and number - i am a solo person who is a consultant from ****** and I live abroad and use my phone to contact customers, friends and family - i cannot reach ANYONE in the *** now which is impacting my work and personal life. I have relatives I cannot call and friends I cannot reach. - I have tried to register over 17 times through the OpenPhone portal and it keeps refusing me and the last interaction with the open phone team I was told it is because I have a a VOIP number that it doesn't work! That makes no sense!!! If I have a number with ***** or Bell or ******, why would I bother having an OpenPhone account?! Isn't the idea of OpenPhone so that I don't have to use those mega carriers and I can use a cloud carrier? Why would I port my number over in the first place if there is a reason I would need to keep the original carrier?OpenPhone has voided their contract with me which is to provide me with service which they cannot do and have not done, regardless of all my attempts to have this rectified. I requested someone with technical skills and a management decision making ability, to contact me and either fix the problem or work with me to move to another carrier who can provide the service i am paying for. I informed them that i am also logging this complaint with the BBB.

Open Phone has harassed me several times about completing a random registration AFTER they took my money. Even AFTER completing the registration process multiple times, and they confirming my completion, they sent me yet another email today threatening to disable some features from my line.
