Openphone's 7 day free trial is a scam. You can sign up for free but can't text unless you also "register" the number, for an additional charge. They say they won't charge you until after the free period for this additional charge, but they do charge you. And it takes 3 to 5 days for the registration to go through. So what's the point of a 7-day free trial? I tried emailing them about this, and no one responded. $20 gone, and I couldn't even use the number for the period I did pay for. Unlike other services where they allow you to use them until the end of the period you pay for, once you cancel you can't use the number anymore although you can still access any messages in your account. So in my case it was literally $20 for nothing.

To be honest I was about to give this company worst possible review you can get give. However the way they fix the problem and as quickly as they did completely turn things around 180 in here I am leaving the best possible review. I signed up for a free trial with the understanding that afterwards would be charged on a monthly basis. However when my trial was up I was charged $180 for an entire year of service which was absolutely not what I intended and wasn't absolute blow to my financial situation... however all it took was one email to the customer support department and I was very thrilled to see that within a half an hour I was refunded the difference of the $180 that was not supposed to be charged and only charged for that one month that I had agreed up on. I don't think I've ever had an error from billing be corrected so quickly

I signed up for their free trial, and immediately had clients start to use my number. Everything was great. UNTIL...a few days in they told me my business name was not 'reasonable'. I emailed back right away - and explained it was a math pun, as I tutor children. No reply. That was on a Tuesday. On Friday, near closing time, I was emailed that my account was blocked due to suspicious activity and/or complaints. WHAT?? Now my clients couldn't use the number over the weekend. I was so confused. I literally was blocked - I couldn't log in to my account to see what was going on. USER BLOCKED. They also said in the email I would not be charged. They got back to me over 30 hours later saying oops - their mistake. I wrote them a scathing email with screenshots - and told them they have terrible customer service. That was Saturday. No reply. Today is Monday - and - shocker - MONEY HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. Of course, still no reply, nor can I log in to my account. They need to be shut down.

Signed up for a trial, they have you verify identity with cc. standard. I was charged 120 for I am not sure what a week later. Deceptive marketing. I dont understand how they can steal your money like this? I would assume if you are buying something it would be clear, but not with OPENPHONe. I would stay way. They are a phone service that dont have customer service on the phone! I didnt realize this until it was too late when I tried calling to reverse this fee they stole from me. A year subscription is what I was charged, and I never signed up for anything of the sort. I dislike this. On to making a ******* review because ******* had a bunch of paid ones for company, no real ones.
