    PCGS Stole my valuable coins! I sent in two rare. Coins for authentication and to have them professionally restored and photographed. They switched my valuable 1969 S DOUBLE DIE OBVERSE ***** (very rare) and gave me back a regular *****. They did the same thing with my 1968 S DOUBLE DIE OBVERSE *****. When you call the customer ********************** no one ever answers. You can let it ring for hours.

    I have concerns. I would like to do business with them but would like to talk to someone there to ask questions before joining. They do not post their telephone numbers and my bigger concern would be to send rare valuable coins by **** or ****** After reading the posts here and seeing their LOW rating I think I will go elsewhere. Wish I could talk with a reputable service and I agree with others here. When you pay a high price you expect service and accountability.

    I have proof that their Gypsies tramps and thieves that's what I have is proof cold hard proof! They authenticated a coin of mine that has an obvious double die and a huge dye splash and they just gave me the grading never giving me the era because it would cost tens of thousands and they're either jealous or jealous or more jealous or greedy but they don't authenticate neither does NGC or their own cahoots I wish somebody would open up a place where they don't see the value or just because maybe you're young and a single mother that they have something against you off with their heads thank God for social media we could share these stories and I'm going to be putting my coin for sale and that's my write-up it's going to be how look at it it's so evident that it has a big supply dash right underneath the nine it's all covered and it's double died but they only gave me a 64 not mentioning the era there I repeated myself and they're not even in the BBB I should have checked first ****** they're very biased and you should know if you don't they they grade your coin as clean but if you give it to them and you pay hundreds of dollars to clean have them clean it for you then it's okay right what a double standard how could you even fall for that

    Submitted 3 coins for certification and encapsulating which PCGS confirmed receiving on 11/25/2024. I selected, and was subsequently charged for, their "walkthrough" service which boosts of a "3-5 day turnaway," warranting its high cost. It is now 01/08/25 and I still do not have my coins, although I have already been charged for them. When contacted, PCGS claims to have sent me an email requiring an adjustment on the declared value because my current declared value won't allow for them to ship the coins back to me, even though I was able to ship the coins to them with the exact same value. I have not received any emails they claim to have sent me, nor have I received any correspondence through **** postage mail, nor have I received any attempt to contact via my phone number (which they require from you in order to sign up and purchase a membership, and to submit). PCGS states that they will not refund any amount of the costs that I was charged for the "walkthrough" service, nor issue any credit(s) to be used with them, even though I did not receive a service from them remotely resembling what they describe their "walkthrough" service to be. Today we are day number forty-five (45) and still without my coins, after being charged for a three (3) to five (5) day service.

    As a new 1st time customer, joining the different membership levels was (after the fact) misleading and deceitful. I just wanted to send in 1 coin for grading. the general level membership did not provide vouchers, so I thought, I'd go for the GOLD level and get a voucher to use. it was AFTER joining I discovered I COULD NOT use said voucher for the coin I was going to submit (misleading and deceitful) so the extra $80 was ****** away. then, after receiving my membership kit I attempted to submit the coin via the online process, again, no so... being my coin $20 Gold 1915, did not fall into the NARROW brackets for online (non-gold, 1965 to present only). :-( so, when I then attempted to fill out the paper submission form (provided with the membership packet) SECTION 6 (service level) DID NOT have a clear BOX to select for my coin (valued somewhere around $3000) the REGULAR Service level is what I wanted, but that was for coins with a value LESS THAN) $2500. with gold going up in price, this eliminated my coin. after 2 phone calls to customer ********************** (which I never got through) and 2 online form submissions to customer **********************, I received an answer "Use the EXPRESS service level ($70) Thirty dollars MORE than regular. so, to submit this one coin, I paid $150 membership, then they want another $80 processing fee, Shipping fees to and from their facility) just to get my coin graded?? what a ****.

    They do not care about your collection. I had a set of years of original Carson City ****** *******, think years in order beginning to end. These came in original holders, with original blue boxes, and original serial document. My point in this, is the value was not solely in the coin. The collection value also included the original condition of items it was presented with and in. PCGS threw these away. They had not issue contacting me to upcharge charging me to keep it in the plastic container as a "large container" fee. But the box and document are gone. The set no longer matches. I have some with original blue boxes and others in nothing more than the ugly plastic container with a PCGS sticker over top of it. Customer ********************** was not only unapologetic and unhelpful, but attempted to play dumb when I pointed out my set no longer matched because of them. I will never work with them again. Best in the business, my ****. If they are best, then the hobby is screwed. They could not care less about actual collections.

    PCGS is a fraud !!!!....we rate them ZERO........nor *****ZERO ZERO ZERO a Scam....after sending in 0ver 200 World coins, all original, they graded none all called ''counterfeit'''.....grabed over $8000. in fees and gave us no service.....Call your congressman, senetors, and open an investigation.....now!!!

    I've had issues with this service in the past. Previous issue was resolved. The service I paid for was not received. Coins were sent back and appropriate service was applied. However, this time my issue was more troubling.I submitted an error coin order, hoping to get error designation on a number of coins. Received none. Understandably, it's reasonable to believe that their error and variety experts are credible. But this time I had strong reservations about 2 coins in particular. One an obvious unrecognized double die nickel and a ******** half dollar with an obvious "U" die clash on the overseas. After questioning the service, they told me to resubmit at my cost to review without them viewing the images they already have on file. That's an unacceptable business practice. Also the turn around time was excessively short for an inspection of 16 possible error coins. Time elapsed coincided with time spent on normal non error coin inspections.

    I think anyone who grades a coin shouldn't have the authority to have a price guide. This gives them full control over how many 65's there are. I sent in a coin it definitely a 66 I probably will get a 64 cause the price for a 65 is 1000 more then a 64. This give them full control over the grades and prices. I sent in mint silver eagle dollars not once did I get a 70 always 69, 68. They say they don't know who's coin their grading that's bs. The dealers get most of the 70's so the little guy suffers. That's my opinion. It's a shame you can't get a decent company. ICG Is more accurate then pcgs, more fair but everybody wants pcgs. Ngc is just like pcgs a little more fair but not by much. It's a shame that you have to buy pcgs cause that the only one that sells when it's time to unload.
