• Advertising Review:

  In June 2022, BBB contacted Phresh Kitty regarding claims in its advertising.
  
  Its website has multiple references to the health benefits or results that consumers may achieve from the use of its products and their ingredients, including, but not limited to:
  "When taken consistently, women can expect to see results in as little as 3-4 days."
  "This product has a 99% success rate however, we don’t guarantee results because it works differently for everyone." 
  "Kitty Elixir is a rejuvenating feminine moisturizing oil made from all-natural, food-grade ingredients, and especially formulated to soothe irritation, prevent infection, and provide lubrication. Benefits: Strengthens and Moisturizes Vaginal Tissues, Soothes Irritation, Antibacterial and Anti-Inflammatory, Helps Balance and Restore pH Levels"
  "Aloe Vera - Contains moisturizing properties that help ease any dryness or inflammation, bringing immediate relief. The antifungal, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties of this plant can help curb the overgrowth of any infection-causing fungi or bacteria."
  The BBB Code of Advertising states that claims relating to performance, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. BBB requested that the business provide any documentation in its possession that supports these claims but did not receive a reply..
  
  The business states at the About Us page of its website that "After months of research, I learned that mass-marketed intimate cleansers are laden with harsh detergents, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. Exposure to these chemicals throws beneficial flora out of balance, encourages the growth of unwanted bacteria, and leads to other recurring vaginal discomfort. They say that everything we need for healing is in plants so I started researching natural solutions and after a few trial and error with my concoctions, I started noticing a difference."  BBB requested that the business provide any studies that were conducted that lead to these outcomes but did not receive a response.
  
  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers must not deceptively or falsely disparage a competitor or competing products or services in their advertising. Truthful comparisons using factual information may help consumers make informed buying decisions, provided all representations are consistent with the general rules and prohibitions against false and deceptive advertising and the advertiser can substantiate all claims made. With regard to the following statements, BBB requested that the business provide substantiation but did not receive a reply:
  "One of the main ingredients in some feminine washes is something called alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride."
  "When store bought and prescription medication fails yet again, jump ship and switch to the fast-acting treatment you need to fight back against yeast infections and BV. Switch to our Kitty Renew Suppositories."  
  
  At the shopping cart section of its website, once an item is selected in certain cases, a consumer may select the One Time Purchase or Subscribe and Save option. The details of the Subscription policy are only made available, and as a footnote link to the policy, once a customer has agreed to the shipping policy and has proceeded to the section of the shopping cart where their email address and personal information is submitted.  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, any advertisement for a product or service that includes an offer to sell or provide consumers with additional goods or services under a continuity, negative option, or auto-ship feature must include a clear and conspicuous disclosure of all material terms of the feature. Details of policies that bear on a consumer's decision to purchase should be available well before purchase.  BBB requested that complete details of its subscription policy be made available on its website so that consumers may review it before selecting this option but did not receive a reply.
