- Advertising Review:In August 2022, BBB contacted Paul the Plumber regarding claims in its advertising.
Its website states "Our Guarantee. 100 % Satisfaction for Every Customer. There is nothing that we offer that isn’t covered by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Every job, every product, and every emergency is backed by our word and our expertise." According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the term guarantee, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details can be seen prior to sale. These details must disclose any material limitations on the guarantee. Advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee” if the seller refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. BBB requested that the business add this information to wherever this policy is advertised but did not receive a response.
