Awesome experience. My daughter wanted to purchase her first car. She searched online and found a used Hyundai. When we went to Delray Hyundai ***** was our salesman. He took the time to explain all of our options and what was the BEST option. My daughter decided on the 2024 *******. Everyone was helpful including the finance guy. Overall my daughter is happy with her first "adult" purchase.Delray Hyundai Response

My car is a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe & it had the engine block replaced back in 2022 due to the knock sensor. About 3 weeks ago I had the same issue with it again. I had it taken to the Hyundai Delray dealership. They told me it would take 10 business days to diagnosis it & only $200. If I don't have them fix the issue. It wind up being 18 business days & not $200 but $235.40 The extra $20 was for shop supplies which did they not divulge to me. So basically it's thievery. The 2015 & 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe have the same issue & they are on the recall list but the 2016 is not. I've called corporate & they are not very helpful either. The dealership doesn't like to answer phone calls, does not like calling back. The only reason they called me back yesterday was because I told him I was having the vehicle towed to a mechanic shop. They know my car should be on the recall list for this knock sensor because it has been replaced in in 2022 & in 2023 & now it's did the same thing again 3 weeks ago. Each time they fix it they claim it's fine but it's not. I feel that they gave me a used engine block & used knock sensors. This vehicle needs to be on the recall list. Otherwise somebody is going to get hurt because the car shuts down on you & you cannot make the car accelerate no matter how hard you push on the gas pedal. & corporate is no better. The case manager was not very helpful. He just relayed the same information that the service manager told me & avoided getting me a supervisor above him to help my situation. DO NOT use Delray Hyundai dealership at all if I can give them no stars I would. SOMEBODY'S GOING TO HAVE TO DIE FOR THEM TO PUT THIS VEHICLE ON THE RECALL LIST AND THAT'S SAD AND GOING TO BE VERY UNFORTUNATE FOR SOMEONEDelray Hyundai Response

*****,
Delray Hyundai takes all reviews very seriously. We spoke with our service manager and reviewed your visit. The diagnosis revealed your vehicle does not have a bad knock sensor. It is your cat. converter that is the problem. This was explained to you and you declined the service. There are no recalls on this vehicle for that issue. This has been documented with Hyundai. As for your comments of corporate and your vehicles issues being on a recall list, Delray Hyundai has no say over this. If you would like to speak to the service manager or have your converter repaired we are more than glad to help. No dealership will be able to replace a knock sensor that is not damaged, nor not on a recall list. Thank you

Delray Hyundai sold me a car with an overworked and overused battery that shouldve been replaced before i got the vehicle and it basically exploded in the car after it was smoking and also caused problems to the alternator. They refuse to answer the phone or allow me to speak to a supervisor even after calling for over a week. Delray Hyundai also has failed to give me the appropriate paperwork to register and title my car and its been over 3 months now. The car effectively broke down before i could even register it and now no one seems to know how to answer the phone.Delray Hyundai Response

It has been over 30 days since I left my 2017 Genesis *** at the dealership (6/16/24) for a recall repair and I still dont have it back. They told me it would be ready later in the day, then they called me and said they needed another day. The next day ( Friday ) I had no call an was left with no car for the weekend. A few weeks later they called me to pick it up and when I did, and drove it a half mile from the dealership I heard a blaring alarm and a flashing warning that the engine was overheating. I brought it back to the dealer. Now a week later I still dont have it.They did give me a loaner though Absolutely horrible experience. I will never buy another car from them again. They are the WORST.Delray Hyundai Response

I called Delray Hyundai Motors to determine the cost of purchasing my Sonata after my lease ended. I thought that I had an appointment with the finance department but wound up talking with a salesperson. The quote that was given to me included an $899 dealer fee, an $899 bank fee and a residual price that was $792.60 higher than on my contract with Hyundai Motor Finance. The form that I received had a higher price compared to the residual price on the Hyundai lease. There were other assorted charges **************** allowed to deal in *******, gave me a total price that was $2700 plus lower than the dealer (+tag) to purchase my lease automobile. Hyundai Motor Finance Corporate was in contact with the dealer. The name of the other company, allowed to purchase the automobile was furnished by the Hyundai *********************** The dealership never responded to the corporate office regarding my complaint. This dealership was sold several years ago. Getting a service appointment can take months. I recently went into the dealer because the check engine light was on. I had to leave the car for 2 days before I was told that the light simply had to be reset.I will never walk into this dealership again and would recommend that no one else does either.Delray Hyundai Response

****,
************* purchased the vehicle from the previous owner. When he came in, he did not present salesperson ****, nor sales manager, **** without any documentation of his lease. Because of the lack of paperwork, the sales manager clearly stated that he would only be able to give an estimate. Once we have documentation, an exact and true amount would be presented. The $792.80 was the balance of the lease owed and that would contribute the residual price being higher. The other fees are documented on your contract from the previous owner and processing fees.
All the fees and estimate payoff were explained and we were willing to help once all paperwork was presented at the time of the transaction.
In addition, all of this documentation has been forwarded to Hyundai and is available for ************* to review with them at any time. Delray Hyundai is 100% transparent is here to help our customers with all their sales and service needs.

After purchasing a 24 Kona CPO on May 11th, I'll skip through the c*** and shadyness, and get to the point. They lost the second key fob, and 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for a replacement . Was promised 2 weeks ago its on its way, and still nothing. They play phone tag if you call, and send you to voice-mail and nobody calls back. They promised to have one delivered, but once they found out I lived 120 miles away, they don't work outside of their county, promised to send through the mail 2 weeks ago , still nothing. Also needing my local dealer to program, which I would have to pay for and send them the bill. Not very hopeful they will pay, if ever i get my key fob. I'm doneDelray Hyundai Response

************** was instructed by his salesperson that a second key would be provided. Delray Hyundai had to order a key, which arrived into inventory on Friday. The key will be mailed to **************, where he will then have to go to a local dealership and have it programmed. ************** will then have to send the dealership a receipt and he will be reimbursed.
All of this was agreed upon and Delray Hyundai lives up to their obligations.
Thank You

DISHONEST! And RUDE! Went to look at vehicles at this dealer and found a used vehicle on the lot that we really liked. We were willing to pay the asking price for the vehicle and expected there would be an additional dealer fee. But, when the salesman brought us the paperwork there was not only an $899 dealer fee but also a $1595 "reconditioning fee". We asked what this fee was for and they couldn't give details; only told us they inspect the cars and that they would also fix a broken tail light and give us a 10 year powertrain warranty. We said we did not want to pay that fee (13% of the value of the car!) and a manager came over and said "what if I remove that fee but you take the car as is" and we said we would do that deal. They then came back and said they wouldn't honor the offer and would only take $750 off and we could take the car as is. So, we left.Today (the following day) they called and said they wanted to make a deal and offered to keep the $750 off and add back the insurance policy. We agreed and went back to the dealership to finalize the deal. After an hour we were told there was an issue and they couldn't give us the insurance policy they promised. I asked to speak to the manager and he came in and said he couldn't do anything. He wouldn't give money off to compensate for the lack of insurance, he wouldn't shop the insurance with other carriers and he wouldn't even fix the tail light.Total bait and switch. Offered us a deal twice and then reneged on that deal. Wasted hours of our time. Before leaving he told us that the fact the insurance underwriter would not give a policy (apparently because it was a Mini and that brand is excluded) he thought it was a red flag and he would just send the car to the auction. I was so upset and I told him that I was going to complain online and he said "ok, we shouldn't do business together".DISHONEST and RUDE! Do not shop here!Delray Hyundai Response

Delray Hyundai takes all reviews very seriously. After sitting down with the sales team, desk manager and *** the comments the customer written here are just slanderous. We were 100% percent transparent.
To answer their questions.
Delray Hyundais has an $899 dealer fee, which is lower than most dealerships in the area. This amount is listed on the website on each vehicle page. The $1595 was a reconditioning fee that included the inspection and all work completed to bring it to like new condition. A complete breakdown list is provided to the customer at time of purchase. All fees are listed on the bottom of each page.Fees:. Prices do not include government fees and taxes, any finance charges, dealer documentation fee of $899, Reconditioning and testing fees of $1595.00, and dealer added accessories.
Apex warranty. Delray Hyundai offers an additional powertrain warranty. Unfortunately, this vehicle did not qualify for it. The salesperson initially told the customer it did. We apologized and took full responsibility for this. We explained this to the customer and offered an additional discount to compensate or would try to find a warranty replacement under the existing offer.
The taillight did have a crack on the outside plastic that did not affect the light. This was clearly shown and explained to the customer and the point of the walk-around. We offered to fix it or provide an additional discount. We provided both sets of pricing and the customer told the desk manager the customer wanted to purchase it as-is.
After the customer went to finance and started making demands for more of a discount, blaming the tail light and the **** warranty, they told the *** that they were going to write negative reviews online if we did not comply, we knew it was time to thank them for coming in and wishing them the best of luck.
We go out of our way for our customers and try to do the best by them. Thank YouReview from Rachel R

Awful experience - was given wrong info over the phone to get ** in the door, and then once there, was pressured to purchase an upgraded model that I didnt want, with zero wiggle room for a discount, even though I was asked point blank, how much I wanted to pay. Warranty sales attempts were beyond pressured and uncomfortable. Have had three separate issues with the vehicle, that somehow made it past a 170+ point inspection, and had to go back for repairs multiple times after errors on their part, living 30 minutes away. Hidden fees and up-charges go way beyond CarMax, more than double. The girl at the back entrance is also very cold and unhelpful, although the man at that entrance is great. Service and sales have no communication. The manager that I initially dealt with was rude and cold, and then was relocated the following day. The new manager tried to make it right with a tank of gas per my requestwish Id walked and purchased elsewhere. I will not be buying another car here.Delray Hyundai Response
