Purchased this "new" honda forza 300 abs 2016 from them in Sept 2019 and was told the vehicle was brand new. Ever since I bought it it's been burning or leaking oil and I couldn't figure out why I had to keep putting oil in it after so many miles . Fast forward to 6 months ago when the scooter just stopped starting I had to change the battery in it and when I did this and removed the old battery it was an aftermarket Battery that they installed without disclosing to us when we purchased the bike ..also since the bike was sitting for 3 years in their showroom not only was the battery replaced without our knowledge the engine and oil seals are rotted and those should've been changed as well this is why I have to keep putting oil in before actual oil changes ..on top of that I requested to add the 6 year honda extended warranty on this unit and come to find out they never added it and now I can't add it ..it's really pathetic how most dealerships are just looking to unload their problems on unsuspecting people. This is really not fair and I also reported it to honda . Having just found this out now something needs to be done their part and Hondas part about thisBusiness response

This unit was a factory direct received from Honda on 4/1/2019. It did not sit in our showroom it was at Honda. There is no 6 year warranty option. There is a 1 year factory and 5 year extended that the costumer did not purchase. (see attached bill of sale). I believe there is no laws regarding after market battery installed in units when sold. The customer also could have purchased a battery warranty and it would have been replaced for free, also not purchased. The customer has never brought the unit for any reason and this is the first we have heard about any issues, five years later!
Thank you so much,

I am rejecting this response because:
If the unit was recieved on 4/1/2019 from honda directly then why did you install a new generic battery? It was found out when I had no choice to install a new battery . Your sales *** was supposed to add the extended warranty to my purchase..I was not there in person for this I spoke to you ***s over the phone as I did when I spoke to honda financial . Your sales *** told me 6 years warranty so he must've been talking about 1 plus 5 years but still it's not in effect so I got screwed over by you ***s for this . I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone at honda regarding all these problems and you have been sort of an issue since reviewing the bike. Promised it was going to be delivered on a closed trailer , it was not, couldn't inspect it before signing for the bike. Typical shady dealer ways of doing business . Like all the other dealers in ************* including **** case and broward motorsports all do crooked businessSincerely,

I have attached the bill of sale for the person who bought the unit in question. Her name is *************************** and I am told it is his girlfriend. He does not own this unit. His complaint is pertaining to the second page of the contract (attached) where there is a $299.99 charge for a battery. Every single contract has the same description and we purchase them from the state and they cannot be changed by anyone. She was only charged for the battery warranty and nothing else. In fact when he called he was told we do not sell theft or ************* warranties. If you would like I can give other bill of sales showing the same price for the battery warranty.Initial Complaint

I took my Bike in on 12/26/23 for TPMS not working, they told me they had to order a special part. When the part came in I took it back and they fixed it, I picked it up and the system failed the next day. When I took it back in January they went back to telling me they had to order a special part, and this went on up until April when they finally told me they couldn't fix my Bike and they wasn't going to give me any compensation because my aftermarket warranty ( that I bought from them ) paid for it.Business response

The Customer unit was looked at and fixed. He did return in which at that time we called Honda. They proceeded to tell us we needed a l tool they sold to program which we bought. The tool cleared the code on his motorcycle but came back. We then called Honda back and they said it could be the main computer in the bike etc. Told the Gentlemen unfornantley we could not clear the code and it would not affect his bike or operation as its just a TPMS sensor. That we done everything Honda told us to. We told him what they said then he stated "he wanted his money back". We told him we could not do such as the warranty company paid for everything not him. Told the customer that wasn't how this works. That he did not pay for anything nor did we collect any money from him at any time. So at this time we can not give him a refund nor compensate him back any money as he did not actually pay or fork out any money himself. he was told to reach out to Honda and see if there was anything they could do for him.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The Warranty that they speak of was not something I got for free, they sold me that Warranty for $1100 so that money did come out of my pocket. They never fixed the Bike, when they gave it back to me the light came on the next day and when I brought it back they could never get it to stay out. They gave it back to me with the light still on. They gave me the run around for a month telling me that they were waiting on a part to fix it, and finally they told me that they couldn't fix it. I was never told to call Honda, and if I did what could I do with the information they would have gave me I'm not a mechanic. I asked them to make whole by giving me a couple services and they refused.
Sincerely,

I purchased a Kawasaki ninja 400 from McKibben. 1 year later I traded in the bike. 4 months ago I contacted McKibben to cancel the gap coverage and warranty’s since I did not own the motorcycle anymore. Nothing has happened. In 4 months. They have sent random emails with no real information. In my opinion this was done on purpose by the finance manager handling the gap cancellation. I worked with this person (Javier) at Lego land in 2016. We did not get along at all. Now this person is the one in charge of this and I honestly believe has been purposely dragging his feet for 4 months. I totaled my car and had refund for gap and warranty’s in less than 2 week. The fact this has taken 4 months proves there is foul play involvedBusiness response

***** **** cancelled his gap and tire and wheel in July 2023. The finance manager who received the cancellation request was not Javier but Jeff who sold him the warranty products. The cancellation was in Jeff's office when Javier researched the request for cancellation when Jeff was hospitalized. He processed the cancellation and Zurich takes about 30 to 45 days to give the dealership the funds for cancellation. The customer was refunded on 11/7/2023 ck#**** in the amount of $860.74. Mr. ****'s desired settlement has been refunded. The check cleared the bank on November 13, 2023. Javier did mention the customers name sounded familiar and believes he was *****'s supervisor at Lego Land in 2016 but has no hard feelings about there working relationship.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. 2 days after I submitted the complaint I got a email saying they had a check ready and asked where to send it. Strangely not long before that email I had gotten a email from them saying it would be at the end of the month and the check was being sent to the bank that financed the bike. The complaint is resolved. Although I’d like to see documentation proving when the proper papers were filed. And I’d bet $ the date won’t be anywhere near when I started this process. Just a thought
Sincerely,
