***** willingly and was aware of the issues with the car prior to selling the car which is deceptive practices and now they refuse to provide contact information for arbitration. Prior to receiving the car, the car was in the shop before I received it but the team refused to cancel the deal all while knowing what issues I would face ahead. I have emailed and contacted the dealership to no avails. The warranties added to the car did not cover any of the issues advised by *.******** the finance person, it was all lies. There has been attempt to resolve or make good on the repairs leaving me with a raining $5300 in repairs.

    Complaint: 22819179

I am rejecting this response because:

I would like to move forward with arbitration as I have proof of contact with ***** and I requested to cancel the agreement while ***** still had possession of the car. The moment I drove off the lot, the check engine light came on. I requested at that time to cancel the sell. Everything has been down hill since. I am requesting that ***** takes ownership and pays for the remaining $5200 in mechanical damages given that even the warranty they sold was misrepresented and did not cover the car as explained and promised.

    Sincerely,

On 31Dec24 I used the ******* buying Service via Navy ******************** to obtain an offer from HGreg.com Orlando on stock #CP84513. The offer was sent via email for $45, 587. After reaching out to a sales associate he stated the car was in service. Called the next day to see if it was out of service and the associate stated vehicle was ready for a test drive. I sent my brother (2hr drive) to the appointment and after waiting 2hrs he was told the Manager was using it as a Demo. On 8Jan25 I received a call from an associate who stated the car was now available. I once again sent an associate for the test drive who stated the over all opinion was it would be a good buy minus a few cosmetic blemishes and needs new tires.I then start speaking with the sales associate who ultimately sends me a purchase proposal for $46,072.37. I explained that was more than my cash offer and he said they dont work with TrueCar and he is unsure of where they get their numbers. After reviewing the proposal I noticed a $1495 fee for an elite protection plan and requested more information. **** explained it was to protect the over a three year period to include tires. After explaining that my associate stated the vehicle would need new tires soon. I asked if they could remove the elite protection plan and I would place a deposit to come and purchase the vehicle today. **** stated no they could not remove the plan and they would not honor the TrueCar offer.9Jan25 I called and spoke to a manger(didnt give his name) who stated that the tires passed their safety inspection and if the vehicle was purchase we could use the protection plan to get $200 off two new tires. I asked if he could remove the plan and honor the ******* offer and he stated no we dont negotiate, if you cant pay that price sorry.

I was looking to purchase a vehicle with HGreg Orlando and before purchasing the vehicle I noticed there was spots on the vehicle the required a paint job and was told by the sales manager that they will fix the paint and to bring it back the following week. When I arrived to have the vehicle serviced for the paint I was told that they would not fix the paint and when I spoke with the general manager he came out yelling saying they will not fix the paint and when I asked for a corporate number he told me he is corporate and there is no corporate number. This is very unacceptable.

In respond to this complaint first of all I want to apologize in behalf of ***** if someone disrespected a customer.  Second of all if a customer was promised any repairs or paint work we would have given a customer a WE-OWE signed promising the customer the repairs.  All I can offer at this time is a discounted price to get the vehicle painted if customer chooses they want to pay to paint the vehicle

Bought a car from hgreg on Wednesday and left there facility at 6:30pm drove the car the next day and heard a loud banging under the front wheel by the driver side, called hgreg on Thursday about 4 times and heard nothing from them, called again 5 times in Friday and finally heard back from them on Friday evening, and had an appointment on Monday morning at 9:am, went to the appointment and after 3 hours they told us the car was fixed and it was the plastic wheel cover and I told them no way not according to the noise I heard, so I took the car repair specialist on a ride and the banging was there, he heard it right away, the took the car back in to the repair shop and came back and told us it was the 3 motor mounts and the left front axle and said it was safe to drive, we left and the banging became louder and now a grinding noise had started, called to see if the parts had come in on Thursday and when we left the had told us the parts would be in on Wednesday, spoke with the manager and he told us to take the car to our mechanic and now he won't return our phone calls at all, the car had broke down on Thursday the next day when we left the dealership on Wednesday at 6:30pm, not even 24 did we have the car and now he has jerked us around and said we are out of there 5 day warranty, we called them the next day after we bought the car went to there appointment and now are telling us to take it to our mechanic, and we can't drive the car at all, we sure do need some help since the manager will not stand up to there warranty as they told us from the beginning

The dealership failed to mail or give me the plates and the registration for the van that I purchased with them. They gave me a temporary plate which is now expired, and they are refusing to send the new plate and registration to me. The dealership does not have a working telephone where you can reach them, and I had to keep sending text messages to an employee's phone that works there and he is not even responding to my messages. I am not getting any help from anyone, and they never returned my call to solve this. It is against the law to drive a vehicle with an expired plate registration. Please help!!

I purchased a car from HGreg.com Used Car Dealership on September 3, 2024. I bought a **** Escape with 43K miles. Test drove it only around the block, never over 45mph. They tacked on the rip off fee of exterior protection plan of $2,000. After a few days, I noticed some hard shifting and a vibration under the floorboard. After calling them, they refused to return or answer calls, saying mailbox was full. Texted the salesman and he refused to reply. Had to have the transmission overhauled on a 43K **** Escape, as the torque convertor was shredded in the transmission. The repair cost from an honest repair place was $4,115. They had to know this was the case as they would refuse to respond or reply. Never, ever buy a car from this place. They sold a defective car and knew it. They might have stolen money from me, but I hope this stops the same thing from happening to any one else. I feel that this was an unfair business practice and that I should be reimbursed for the transmission repair.

I am rejecting this response because:

I tried to call and text this business to let them know about the faulty transmission within their 5 day time frame.  They refused to answer the phone or texts until past the 5 days.  If you call to talk about a car you have already purchased, you are passed through to a voice mail whose mail box is full.  There is no process in place to allow that communication.  On the ****** review, the manager said he wanted to see what he could do and that I should contact him by email.  I did contact him by email and he has refused to reply.  I believe that I should be reimbursed for the $4,000 transmission overhaul and this company refuses to answer at all.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *****

They said my *** would be ready for Saturday pick up. They promised me two new tires albeit the Chinese tires when I arrive Saturday my car was tired in Savsnnah floods. When i arrived from ******** *** rented car at *************** and **** to dealer They said they couldn't get the tires. I said that's unacceptable. I've got to leave today. Before I left they finally agreed to pay me $120 And they would send me a check. Normally, I would not believe it but this is a big business. Silly me. After 6 weeks they're still no check. My salesman has been Telling me he keeps elevating the issue to no avail. I have a copy of what he submitted for the $120. (see upload) I am chasing my tail here. I had to buy new tires for the car and they owe me $120 and I've got the signed document to show it. I want my $120 refund as promised. This place sells cars that were in bad accidents but not reported to ******. I test drove one and pointed out to the salesman that this entire car had been repainted and the repairs were terrible. i should have walked away then. Simply not reputable if they reneg on $120 on $22k purchase

I just want to say that their automated msg is not kind just because someone doesnt respond after looking at a car online doesnt mean you can say such harsh things as in tell me to tell you to jump in a lake. You know people have been through things in life such as people jumping into lakes and killing themselves. This needs to be changed its not professional at all. Its not even funny to say the least

We purchased a 2017 Jeep Wrangler from here in April 2024. The clutch was making a squeaky sound and were told they would replace it as part of the purchase. Fast forward to the end of July, the part was in so we dropped it off to be replaced. Upon picking up the jeep we noticed it was having trouble shifting into certain gears and the clutch was too soft. I have reached out to them multiple times and received no response, the Jeep has been parked until today when we took it to our local mechanic and the transmission is damaged from the clutch repair. We received no documentation/receipt of what was actually done. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the transmission until they worked on the clutch. It is now going to cost us $9000 for a new transmission and we are seeking legal action.
