Hired Tidal Wave Response (******************* - owner) after Anytime ***************** recommended due to the nature of the water damage that was identified under our kitchen faucet and cabinetry. Tidal Wave accepted the service request and performed remediation services. A homeowner's claim was filed the same day. After remediation was completed by ********** and his team, *********************** was sent out to walk us through the repair part of the process. The contract specifically reads ********************* declines coverage after the mitigation services have been completed, and the customer has signed up for repair work with Tidal Wave, Tidal Wave will complete all repairs to the property at no cost to the homeowner." This contract is bound with a payment equal to your homeowner's deductible which was $1,000. All of the required repairs where outlined and detailed on under the notes section of the contract. Contract was signed and the deductible was paid. The insurance appraiser assessed the damage and the ultimate decision was to decline the claim. At this point, ******************* became evasive and advised that a public adjuster needs to be hired. There was no attempt made to rectify the issues and perform repairs. He refuses to answer my calls or respond to any text inquires. We have been without water in our kitchen for a month. Based upon the reviews, complaints, lawsuit by employee, it has come to my attention that **** and his company do not operate in a moral or ethical manner. Anyone that has challenged them has had to deal with *************** a lien on their home. I'm seeking legal action as their contracts are misleading, induce people thinking into they will honor their obligations, and overall should be held accountable for their fraudulent activity.

In late January 2024 I had a water leak in my house. I called a plumber and he gave me **** phone number from Tidal Wave Response. I called **** and he came out on January 26,2024.**** agreed to take care of all of the repairs and if the insurance did not pay his company would. **** said that all I needed to pay was the $500 deductible and he would have it completed in 3 days after the insurance company gave the OK. **** said that he would help me file the claim and meet with the adjuster. I signed the contract but **** did not come when the adjuster came. The work was started in early February but after about 3 weeks everyone stopped working and did not tell me why. The job is incomplete but **** will not return my calls. On 4-26-24 someone from Tidal Wave Response called to set up an appointment for 4-27. We agreed that **** would come to my house between 8 & 10am but no one came and no one called. I just need Tidal Wave to complete the job.

I am rejecting this response because: I just have a promise that work will be done but no work has been done.  I have had promises before and no work. When the work is completed, I will approve.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

A pipe ruptured in my bathroom on 11/16/23 around 8 am. Multiple plumbing companies were contacted, and though none of them did any work on the house, one of them was the lead to this mitigation company. I received a call a couple hours from a ********************* who advices me this was the best way to go. ****** came out, looked around the house and showed me where water was. Before anything was signed, he took a broom and began poking holes in my downstairs bathroom, so that insurance company would have no choice but to pay out (his words). When I did sign the contract, he gave my mom and I $50 each to leave a 5 star review. In December/ January, I began disputing charges for emergency after hours call, plumbing, and disposal. 1/17- Once ****** and I spoke, via phone, he agreed to drop emergency after hours, since it wasnt after hours, and I agree to pay for disposal and plumbing. However, the invoice was still the same. 1/19 when we spoke, he acted as if the conversation was never had, so from that point forward, I said all communications needed to be written. The invoice increased almost $300, after the dispute and he told me it was bc the system they use updates every month and the amount increases. Also, since the reason for non payment was bc I didnt agree with charges, he advised me to let my insurance company know the charges were valid and he would pay me on the back end and I told him no bc it was a lie and fraud. On 1/19- I received a text where he agreed to accept $12,460.66. That same night I changed my review from a 5 to 1 star. The next day ****** called me multiple times and threatened to put a lien on my home. He advised if I removed the review, he would discount money off the service. I said no and I would pay the $12,460.66. Payment isnt due until 2/10/24. But he no longer wants to accept it.

    1. Tidal Wave Response advertise on their website ******************** Technicians will do the work a.The crews who worked on our house spoke no English and there was no way to communicate with them. They were left unsupervised i.The work the painters and floor installers did substandard work. As there were no supervisors on site it was only when we called that **************** or another supervisor came to our home to review the work, agree it was substandard and either make the necessary remediations or in the case of the luxury ********************* the entire floor needed to be ripped up and re-placed. 2 Appointments would be made and ****************, another supervisor or the work crew never showed up 3.Tidal Wave Response never provided an itemized/line item tasks. When asked ************** responded that I thought my office girl sent it or we will just use the line item list that the insurance sent you.4. After months of broken promises, inferior work we decided we were done with Tidal Wave.a. We asked **************** to refund the money that the insurance company had paid him for. We clearly noted the specific line items that had not been completed.b. **************** immediately wrote to use that he had placed a lien on our house. We received notification of the Lien from his attorney, which we disputed in writing.b.Although this was never mentioned by ****************, the insurance adjuster indicated that that the final funds would not be released until we signed the document saying that we were satisfied with the work done and considered complete.c.Against our wishes, the insurance company paid Tidal Wave all funds requested as they were more concerned about having the lien removed from our house.Tidal Wave accepted money for work they did not do. This seems like insurance fraud. We ask that this complaint be taken seriously as Tidal Wave Response engages in unethical practices
