If I could give them zero stars I would. Their trucks all have BBB accredited stickers on them and I know that the designation has been revoked. How would one go about getting them to remove this designation from their trucks and advertising? I think its unfair to the public to advertise being a member of the BBB when they use poor business practices.

Warning** I do not recommend Tidal Wave Response. **** the owner became very irate with violent threats once I exposed his companys unethical practices ( Fraudulent practices) ..I fired him from completing further restoration on my home due to him trying to expand my insurance claim. I had to call the police and file a report for my safety. **** called me the * word 7 times stated I should have been shot. All because I refused to allow him to expand my insurance claim. I also reported TW to my insurance company as I am a licensed insurance agent in the state and I have an obligation to report fraudulent practices to uphold and be in compliance within my state. TW and myself are currently in litigation dispute over work he submitted a claim for that he did not complete inflating claims is illegal and unethical!! Please read my review in its entirety on ****** reviews. It is my hope this review helps some!

    Good morning ******,

You hired Tidal Wave Response to help you with your water damage clean up during the Freeze Breaks...  My team did a fantastic job removing all of the damaged materials to your home, that were covered in mold. It was necessary to discard quite a bit of your furniture due to mold. I have a licensed adjuster on staff who writes the Mitigation reports for the insurance carriers. Our Mitigation Estimate was approved after a few adjustments that your insurance carrier ask us to make. Our Mitigation estimate was also reviewed by a 3rd party reviewer from your insurance company. Their evaluation was approved and recommended to pay Tidal Wave Response for the approved Mitigation. Liberty Mutual has agreed to pay us directly, and you have informed them not to pay Tidal Wave Response. This action , not to pay Tidal Wave Response, has resulted in a lien, and a law suit against you. Again Liberty Mutual has agreed to pay this Mitigation estimate of $ ******, and you are just not being fair. If you understand that once we bill the carrier, you have *********************************** you will incur 1.5% monthly on unpaid balances, PLUS attorneys fees ! Your silly-ness to block payment will be forthcoming when we all go to court. You already have incurred over  $1800.00 in interest, $ ******* in my attorneys fees, when we win, you will owe over $ ****** when this is all said and completed in court. Last of all, I have never called you the * word, or said that you should have been SHOT ! If someone had threatened your life, the police would have come and interviewed me asap !

This whole unhappy-ness with you is that you *******************************, wanted to keep the Mitigation money ! You even refused to sign the direct pay form from my company !  This to me sounds really shady when you block or stall an insurance claim..  This is otherwise known in the Insurance Terminology as : ACTI*G I* BAD FAITH !

I look forward to settling this claim in court and being able to help more homeowners through their unfortunate difficult claims process.

you may call me directly: **** @ ************ to try and resolve this claim...  ty

Wow! Reading these reviews are similar to what happened to me. The owner came by and seemed so nice and genuine. He told all kinds of personal information about him and his young girlfriend. Seemed like a nice guy. The field "manager" was an unexperienced ***************** who was not professional and didn't seem to know what was going on. He came with the demolition crew of loud obnoxious group and had no control over the guy. At one point the guys were yelling a football chant downstairs while I was working from home upstairs. My daughter had to go and tell them to please keep the noise down. The "manager" was no where to be found. The guys under the owners instructions, removed the tile from the floor in order to get more money from the insurance company without their authorization. When the insurance company refused to pay for it, they put a lien on my house. Sounds familiar? Also, my kids have several vending machines and keep their cleaning supplies and monies in the garage area until we make the deposits. When the crew left, so did my kids money. I noticed the money gone the next day. When I called the "nice" owner, his response was " I pay my guys $25 an hour and it's hard to believe they would still your kids pocket change". He also told me that his workers have been with him for 10 years and have never been accused of stealing. I 'm looking at reviews now and almost everyone has accused his workers of stealing. To add to that, one of the workers pulled me to the side and said that those guys that came here were new and were just picked up off the road. He does that all of the time. He does not know who is coming into your home. When the "manager" left, he didn't say anything . When the insurance adjuster came by, he found the folder with the samples of the flooring attached under a bunch of rubble left in my laundry room. The owner justified that by saying" oh, he's in law school" as if that made a difference. When these people, come RUUUUNNNNN!!!!Run fast.

    ***************,

First and foremost Tidal Wave Response would like to apologize for any discrepancies or disappointments. As we all are aware, the South East suffered a very bad winter storm throughout the months of December-February. This is stated not as an excuse or reasoning into the possibility of having "inexperienced"  workers but rather to bring to your attention the need for many, many able-bodied staff members. We DO NOT and HAVE NOT ever "picked someone up from the side of the road" to perform mitigation/demolition work in our clients homes. The surplus of staff was hired from our long-time, often used, professional cleaning company A Top of the Line. They were all individual contractors that were used on a day-to-day basis. The supervisor (the "manager") on site was a lovely and well-trained young gentleman by the name of *****. ***** is not only certified in IICRC and OSHA protocol, but has also been trained in-person by the owner ******************* himself, who is also certified in IICRC and OSHA protocol. Our supervisors are always on site to help manage the process of the mitigation/demolition. Whether it be one room or ten our supervisors must examine and document every aspect of the loss that pertains to the work being done. If no work is required in certain rooms then the supervisor does not go into those rooms. I do not believe we performed any work in your garage area, therefore missing/misplaced items in there are not of our doing. Additionally, as I'm sure you can remember, our Phase 1 paperwork has a clause stating that ALL VALUABLES are to be removed. Cash, weapons, medication, and miscellaneous items specifically. Samples are always left on site, whether on the fireplace mantle or somewhere in a room of work. One sample is taken and sent off to ITEL to retrieve all necessary information regarding that sample, while the other is left for the adjuster. Again, we apologize if you had/have any discrepancies or disappointments with the service provided to you.

The work Tidal Wave performed was adequate, but during work by the demolition team, three coats disappeared out of our coat closet (the three most-valuable ones, "coincidentally"). Initially, we thought they may have accidentally been collected as part of the demo'd flooring/drywall to be disposed, but the trash-pickup team that came a couple days later could not find the coats among the garbage. We searched high and low around our home but could not locate the coats -- it seems they were stolen by someone on the demo crew. We have called and talked to multiple employees and the business owner about this over the past three months who couldn't offer an alternative explanation, but promised follow-*** for compensation have gone unfulfilled, and phone calls have gone unreturned. I cannot recommend a company that doesn't take responsibility for their employees, and theft more than negates any quality of work. If you do use Tidal Wave, be sure to watch their workers like a hawk while they're in your home. Take note that the Better Business Bureau has suspended their accreditation of Tidal Wave as of 3/30/23.

    Mr. *******,

Tidal Wave Response would like to sincerely apologize for any miscommunication in regards to some of the misplaced or, alleged, stolen items. However, our trash team not only looked for those items throughout the trash collected from your home, but also throughout the trash of every other job from that week. As I'm sure you can remember, our Phase 1 paperwork includes a clause about valuables. Cash, weapons, medication, and miscellaneous items in particular are to be removed completely from the work area(s). Furthermore, with the bought of horrific winter weather that the entire state received over the course of December-February, it is virtually impossible to take every single small discrepancy into account, yet we took the time to thoroughly search for your items. We apologize again for any miscommunication and/or unresolved issue(s).

TIDAL WAVE RESTORATION---PROCEED WITH CAUTION Tidal Wave (TW) was quick to come out when we had a 3rd level flood in February 2022. They were just as quick to avoid returning calls and ghost us completely. The project manager was onsite when convenient for him but asked repeatedly for us to go by the house to check the progress of work. All in all, you will have to be the project manager. I took over 700 pictures during the 7-month project. These came in handy when I had to use them to solve discrepancies. Several days/weeks would go by with no work being done. Communication was HORRIBLE! We had to email, text and call the project manager and owner (****) several times before getting any response. My insurance paid us directly and TW billed me. When asked for an itemized bill, TW informed me they use the quote from insurance. After reviewing the quote, there were many items TW billed for but NEVER COMPLETED. One of the subcontractors requested payment immediately so I paid them directly per insurance and TW. However, TW is still billing me for this payment (double charging me). Once my house was completed, I reached out to the accountant, project manager and owner to discuss charges/payment. I sent an email on August 19th...no response. Sent an email to the project manager on September 21st and was told they would review my email. Reached out again on October 19th and November 1st. Emailed them all again on December 27th. This is when ******* (accountant) then informed me that **** reviewed my account and put a lien on my house. TW is quick to avoid conflict and will not hesitate to put a lien on your house. PLEASE BEWARE!!!! Do not use Tidal Wave. You will not be satisfied with the work. Also DO NOT PAY FOR UPGRADES!!! I have holes in my hardwood floors and my stair railings are very loose and unsafe. This is all on TW for not using quality subcontractors to complete the work. I am still hopeful that TW will reach out to me so we can get this settled soon.

*******, I believe we have resolved these items with you and we are just waiting to get paid in full from you.I understand the circumstances during the repairs process, and we have resolved for you to your satisfaction. Please make your final payment to Tidalwave Response for the remainder of your balance. So they did a great job pulling our home apart- then ghosted us on repairs. Appreciably unprofessional. I would never use them again. Stick by Serve Pro and tried and true providers. What a nightmare.

    Ms./*****************,

Tidal Wave Response would like to thank you for the kind words about the mitigation team and the job performed on your home. In regards to the repairs, however, with the surplus of homes not only requiring mitigation work, but also emergency water removal, contents packouts, and trash collections, Tidal Wave Response became fully booked. As we would certainly love to provide every homeowner with repair work after completed mitigation work, our scheduling can sometimes be hectic. As an "emergency services" company we must take precedent in said emergencies. We apologize if you were seeking repair work with us, but certainly the supervisor(s) assigned to the mitigation work at your home spoke openly about having different estimates and offers due to the intensity and consistency of water damages.

I have a membership with with Tidal Wave and usually I have a good experience, but for the last couple days I came, the workers that were working that shift half brushed the lights and the other worker wasnt doing anything at all. When going through the car wash the soap cleaners were clear like water, no towels, and trash was filled to the top overflowing. I had never experienced this and hope next visit will be great.
