This school only cares about taking your money. They provide no assistance to their students as promised and are neglectful. We are basically teaching ourselves and then we are also responsible for find our own practicum site. I managed to find a practicum site (which was expensive) for my last course ******************************************************************************************************** for, only for me to receive a late email stating that I've been dismissed from the program due to a drop in gpa. Why wasn't this checked before?? Why was allowed to start the course pay for my practicum site only to be dismissed for my very last class???Review from Jessica A

I began the *** program in 2017. In ********************************************************************* August 2023 I reached out to my advisor and requested to enroll and complete my program. I was told I would need to retake 3 courses that had expired and then 2 more courses that were new to the program before I could complete my clinical rotations. I agreed and began my classes. I was set to begin clinical rotations in September 2024 and graduate in June 2025. The first week of my clinical practice, without warning, I received an emailed stating I had been academically dismissed. I thought it had to be an error since I have a 3.41 GPA. Upon calling I was told there is a maximum time limit to complete the program. I was never advised of this time limit when beginning in 2017 or when I enrolled again in August 2023. I was told everything was great and I am set to finish, all while they knew they would never allow me to finish my degree. They stole a years worth of tuition and my time from me. I then attempted to transfer to another university and Chamberlain refused to give me a letter of good standing and instead sent the new university a letter saying I was academically dismissed. I was then not accepted at that school. Now I am $75,000 in debt and have no degree from Chamberlain and they are preventing me from completing my degree elsewhere.Review from kay b

Currently a student using VA Benefits and CURRENTLY looking for a different school to utilize my benefits at!!! Before I started I heard of how they had racist instructors who were able to bend the rules due to them also being professors there but I would've never believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself. The professor that all the past students talk about is also the Associate Dean of Faculty. The professor asked me about dropping their class 3 weeks before the class ended because I had a 74% and not the required 76%, when I told her I planned to stay because I new I cold raise the grade (due to the upcoming assignments that were due) miraculously a few days later one of papers got 'flagged" for plagiarism. The crazy part is, I'd used the template the professor provided to write the paper , there were some similarities but I used my own sources and a completely different topic. I've honestly never attended a school that used past students work as a template for other students to use. It seems unfair if they know students will be flagged for plagiarism. The racial part of this situation came about when one of classmates who used the same template and paper showed 41% similarities never received a zero on the assignment like I did, and yes she is a white girl. I would've pushed the issue more but I know how hard we all have worked to pass this instructors class so I didn't want to risk her failing the class like I have. Upon withdrawing from the class I had a 75.86 in my core assignments but the professor decided to not round it to a 76% and gave me a Withdrawal failure instead of a Withdrawal Pass. Needless to say it's pointless to be at a institution that picks and chooses who the rules apply to and what rules they want to follow or not.Review from Robbie M

I submitted a request to Chamberlain for additional information regarding their DNP program. I received a call from the school representative who basically wanted to know where I obtained my prior degrees, my current place of employment, my work history among other things. While I understand the logistic of this for someone who is actually applying to their program, but this was ridiculous for someone just trying to obtain basic information. It's a NO for me.Review from Brandy S

Concerning issues I've experienced during my recent educational journey with Chamberlain University, as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I decided to move toward change and get involved in the psychiatric field to help more individuals with mental health issues, as I felt this was and is where I needed to be. As a nurse practitioner, I hold high standards for the quality of care and services provided by medical institutions, providers, educators, and others. Unfortunately, my experience at Chamberlain University did not meet these expectations. Firstly, I am deeply disappointed by the unresponsiveness and incompetency displayed by the *** team. I found it extremely challenging to communicate and collaborate with the team, which significantly hindered the efficiency of my education, creating undue stress. As a healthcare professional, I understand the importance of effective communication and teamwork, and it is disheartening to encounter such a lack of professionalism. Furthermore, I was dismayed by the mishandling of my case with healthcare compliance and the *** team with Chamberlain University. As an educational institution, it is crucial to create a safe, helpful, and empowering environment for students. My experience with this process was subpar and raised concerns about the overall competence and diligence of the staff. I hope that my feedback will prompt a thorough evaluation of the practices and processes at Chamberlain University. - *************************Review from Leah S

I had the worst experience with Chamberlain University and I was only a student for 2 days. Be careful, Chamberlain will nickel-and-dime you for everything! I was admitted on January 12, ****. The day after my admissions I decided to drop/withdraw my enrollment for a multiple of reasons. I emailed my academic advisor to request this. Because I was a late enrollment I couldn't do this myself. On record, my last log-in to 1 online class was January 13, **** (a day later). Four days later, I finally get an email from an academic advisor. She said I would be charged a fee because this counted as an attendance even though I have not set foot on their campus. Most colleges will allow a student 1 week to drop/withdraw from class with a full refund or no charge. Chamberlain will charge you for simply logging in. I find out that I was also charged $220 fee for a ******* Services fee. I was a student for 1 day, not even an entire semester or year. I deserve leniency. Also, I was charged for Fingerprint Drug and Background Check fee of $200 even after I have fully withdrawn. I shouldn't be getting charged. I did not do any pretesting or screening. Why is Chamberlain or its affiliates still getting paid for services that were not done? I later get a text message saying that my drug screening was completed. This is inaccurate and is fraudulent! I now have a balance of $566 of unfair and unexplained charges which will become delinquent because I have no way of paying this. My husband is a disabled Army Veteran, and I resigned from my job to attend school full-time. I've spoken to academic advising, financial advising, and filed a complaint with student services to ask for leniency on the charges. No one has done anything. There is so little support and so much inconsistency at Chamberlain. You speak to 10 different people and you get 10 different answers. I've read bad reviews on Chamberlain, and now I get to experience it first hand. Such a bad experience!Review from Terri W

For ten months of my life, I was the patient of a nurse practitioner who happened to be a graduate of this school's master's degree program. Her mismanagement of my health set me back seven years with my disease state and has left me so traumatized that I wonder if I will ever be able to trust another medical practitioner again. If I could leave no stars I would.Chamberlain University Response

Chamberlain University has had no interactions with this consumer, and while this consumer's complaint is unfortunate, the consumer should file her review with the medical practitioner.Review from Kimberly T

Msn NP programs charge you for advanced physical assessment course, then makes you pay to attend a required immersion weekend for said course. They do not provide assistance with practicum placement, even if they "place" you with someone who is unresponsive to emails. Some of the program specific courses do not have tutors, and there is not set lectures to help you learn the required materials only modules which are self paced and may not contain information on the exams. I am an AGPC-NP student.Chamberlain University Response

Thank you for your feedback. The immersion requirement for advanced health assessment is designed to prepare students for their first practicum experience. During immersion, students have the opportunity to practice proper techniques nurse practitioners use in the clinical setting for a variety of medical complaints. Regarding the courses, not all courses have tutors and we do not have live lectures since the format is asynchronous. In the past we had recorded lectures and students did not like that learning format; therefore, all courses have been redesigned to provide the content through a variety of interactive activities. Each weekly module has four sections: prepare, explore (where the content is provided), translate to practice (the assignments or interactive activity) designed for students to apply the content learned in the Explore section, and then the reflection. We also have the academic success coaches available for additional support which can be accessed through the ** Caf offered every session. Thanks, ** TeamReview from Monica H

We pay so much money for this school and the *** department has NO urgency to process applications. I have classmates sitting semesters out because the school waited until the very last minute to reject the sites. There is a true abuse of power happening. My last preceptor said he will likely not take chamberlain students again because he was so bothered but how *** treats chamberlain students. He precepts Med students too and said hes never seen a school so poorly invested in the success of its students. The *** LIES to potential students and claims they will help you find sites!!!! I feel so robbed of time and energy and this has been an uphill battle the entire way with no support. The AGPCNP program is beyond underserved. We have NO tutors or peer reviews. Those services are EXCLUSIVELY for the *** program. We pay the same tuition as the *** students and receive 1/4 the support and resources. Its disgusting and disgraceful!
