Paid ****** $ for a car.Got scammed second day engine lights on and doesn't run. Needs new catalytic converter 4 grand. Sitting in garage as a nice ornament. So sad and the company when we called to tell them they said they didn't care and it was our problem now.Business response

The Customer had called our dealership back after buying the car. The customer illegally recorded our phone conversation Violating 720 ***. Complied Stat. 5/14-2(a)(1) and we have our local police department investigating. Will update once charges are filed. Nothing the customer brought up had violated the 15 day/ 500 Mile warranty and car left in perfect running order.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: ******** state law allows 3 days for transaction to be canceled. When we called within that time frame that codes where showing AND CAR SITTING IN DRIVEWAY NOT RUNNING
THE MANAGER SAID IT WAS OUR FAULT AND HE DIDN'T CARE AND IT WAS OUR PROBLEM TO PAY THE MONEY TO FIX OR WE SHOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT A JAGUAR. WHAT ** THE WORLD? NO WONDER THEY HAVE AN F RATING WITH BBB. WISH I WOULD HAVE NOTICED BEFORE DEALING WITH THIS SKETCHY SO CALLED BUSINESS.

My problem is ******* started out as very concerned and honest when we were initially doing the deal .Thrn once he got money for transaction he started making promises and not keeping them .First he told me he was gonna send info to shipped that was delivering vehicle .I had to constantly call and text him .Thrn he promise to send gas he didnt .Then when vehicle arrived it has a warning light that says not operable and if is giving constantly a code he thens tell me send code and he will call me back he never called back another lie . Ok nice they sake you a car they dont follow up to see if you have received your vehicle .Its like they only concerned with asking and getting your money .Initial Complaint

I was mislead in a purchase of a car. When I caught them being shady, i felt this was not a good idea, and ask for a refund They told me the car was already in transit. This was on a Tuesday, and it actually didnt leave their lot until Friday. Undisclosed to me1. The convertible top does NOT work. 2. They stated no damage or accidents to the car, yet the entire inside of the car was re-done which is all coming undone 3. The tires, which they told me were in good shape were all dry rotted and car has rust 4. The car leaks oil and antifreeze 5. The cruise control doesnt work 6. They did not tell me the radio wasnt factory, therefore the clock cannot be changed 7. Cant turn off the heat or air 8. Left holes in door where the trunk button was to be and a hole where the airbag tag was 9. Had to purchase 2 new batteries, car dead the next morning after delivery. 10. Cant put trunk battery in due to top not working and it is stuck in open position which wont let trunk open 11. Tilt wheel doesnt work 12. Door mirrors do not work I tried calling them 100 times and they keep sending a notification in response telling me to e mail customer service. I did this 5 times to absolutely zero response. 13. He stated he was carfax certified which he was not 14. He stated the car was carfax certified, not true. 15. Step cover is not attached, falls off 16. The grill of car, the vents in car have all been replaced with generic parts, undisclosed 17. Drivers door glove compartment doesnt close 18. The lights switch (on off, ) is literally hanging out of dash. When I received the car on Saturday, I phoned them instantly and told them I think a recourse for me would be a monetary one for all these repairs. The salesman told me I needed to call the customer service line and I get zero response from anyone, nobody, not one time since my call. I have all the proof from text messages to pictures, to people that saw the car. Please help.Business response

The SL500 was sent and delivered to the customer in working condition. The customer did not want to let the control modules in the car boot up properly, and sent us video of them driving the car and playing with the switches for the convertible top, when the cars two batteries just needed to charge up and boot the modules. When we attempted to help the customer, she texted us "I need you to eat ****...." We could not help the customer further past this point. She has since resorted to calling staff on their personal cell phone at all hours of the day and night, and sending threatening text messages. customer has never provided any information as requested, she has only been asking for money.Initial Complaint

I bought a *** 2007 750 from Excalibur Auto sales in ******** ********. When the car was delivered here to my address in ********* the battery was dead. The driver said the man had to jump it to get it in his box vehicle anyway I went down and purchased a new battery AGM h8 what the car calls for took it to the transmission shop down the road he had to reprogram it and it ends up they sold me a car with a bad transmission and they knew it from the beginning because it was a ******** code he said stored in the computer of the vehicle. This was the very next day from when the vehicle was purchased the man who owned the transmission shop said that they had to have known that this problem existed that's why they sold the car with a dead battery and why would they give me a car that I paid $10,200 for a dead battery and it didn't look like it was washed for a month but to have a bad transmission that is ridiculous I hope you can help me with this problem please call me if you need to my phone number is ************ I am very upset at this as a new transmission is a few thousand dollars and another $2,000 to put it in and have it programmed this is very upsetting I spoke to a **** at the company and a ******* and they said that they could not do nothing for me that it's tough luck there is no lemon law in ******** is what they told meBusiness response

Almost Every aspect of this complaint is false. ****************** either could not answer questions and lied during our first interview regarding the problems with him **** He became Irate began acting mentally unhinged and then sent a message saying he would leave 200 bad reviews because he works for ******* About 10 Minutes later he started leaving reviews on our ****** page and has continued to do so on a daily basis.
We spoke with the shop he brought it to, they TOLD us themselves that he DID NOT tow the car there (when earlier he said he did and he could "not drive" the car) and just simply had them look at it quickly. THe shop also told me he took it that same day, never had them fix anything and that he is driving it till this day. That was what HIS OWN shop had told me.
This man is simply lying, and slandering this business online, and if anything should be calling back and apologizing for his use of threats and calling the sales manager names for no reason at all. NOT SLANDERING our business now for no reason. We will be taking legal action against ****************** for these bad reviews and we will be looking for a judgment per each review that he has left.

My name is *************************** I bought a 2008 *** 750i back in September 28 ****************************************************************** something was wrong with the car they was going to fix it before I go they would let me know. Mean time I'm paying for the loan and insurance for the car I started calling them almost everyday for months to see when the car was going to be ready in late January they told me the car was fix and they was going to send me the car. It was taking to long for them to send it so I told them I would pick it up I lived in ******,ma but I would go they call me back and told me not to go because they found a company that would take my car I told them fine no problem. When I received the Car it wouldn't turn on so had to pay tow truck to take to a mechanic, the mechanic was able to turn the car on but the car was giving me more issues couldn't drive the car. Took it to the dealer and the problem was bigger than I thought it had a problem with the Transmission control module also known as the mechatronics to fix that problem it cost about *****. We are in June and I have talk to them but they are not really helping me I'm not waiting for them anymore and going to do the Job myself and hopefully you guys could help me to get something back.Initial Complaint

We purchased a truck online March 5, 2022. They received our money on the 5th of March 2022 for $********* . As of March 22, 2022 we still do not have the truck. When we finally got the paper work on March 17th all the dates on the contract were from the 5th of March. Due to the suspicious delays, my husband cancelled the sale on March 18, 2022 . They said it was too late the truck was on the way. The truck is still listed on the website as if it is for sale. They said it would be there until next week. Here it is March **************************************** our possession. Just today the said they delivered it to a storage place in Liberty ********, approximately 60 miles from our address. We now have pay storage fees and towing expenses, just to get the truck to our location. I asked about the title and they said it is in the mail. We have still not seen the truck and can not do anything with it as we do not have the title. We would just like to get our money back please. $ ********* and $277.00 storage and towing fees. Nowhere did it say that we would have to pay for storage and towing, and why did they not bring the truck to our location. We paid $440 to have it delivered. It has been a very frustrating process on our part. We would just like to get our money back as we cancelled the sale.Business response

The customer purchased the truck, the decided they did not need it any more when the truck already a few miles from their residence. This is Fraud on the customers part, as they were expecting for us to send them the Truck, and refund their money so they could have a free truck. No Refund, and no exchanges, the customer should go pick up their car ASAP in order to avoid Storage fees.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:they had not sent the truck when we cancelled the sale. They have lied about everything they have told us. Since cancelling the sale we have paid for delivery, storage, and towing. We do not want a free truck we just want our money back . We now have a truck that the remote does not work and we can not lock or unlock the doors. They also said that the title was in the mail however we have not received it as of Saturday March 26.
