I purchased a vehicle from this company and dealer had car shippped to my home in ** . The dealer had there transport company they hired to ship vehicle to my home. When car arrived it was destroyed had damage everywhere . Owner says whatever it takes we will fix the car . Than they received estimate and said no will just pick car up and refund your money . to now just yesterday saying oh now were just not doing anything its your problem? So its my problem they had there shipping company ship the car to me and destroyed it and I contacted them asap soon as car pulled up on there car carrier . This is just insane . We sold Mr. ****** a 2013 **** Mustang ****** on 11/21/2024. We arranged shipping for him through **************** a third party logistics website. Central Dispatch is a tool we use so we do not have to go through a transport broker and pass the extra costs on to our customers. All drivers have to be insured to even sign up for Central Dispatch. A transport company agreed to pick up Mr. ******* car on 12/02/24. The car was to be delivered the following day. The transporters truck had a hydraulic issue on the way to drop the car. We were in communication with Mr. ****** and the transporter concerning the delay. The vehicle was finally delivered on 12/10/24. Mr. ****** upon delivery stated there was damage to the vehicle he sent pictures and an estimate for $4000. Exotic informed Mr. ****** that we would work with him to file a claim with the transporter but we needed an estimate from another body shop preferably a new car dealer to keep things in perspective due to the cost of the estimated repairs in relation to the damage . Mr. ****** stated Exotic could pay the damage or refund him his money. The owners of the dealership do not believe Exotic should refund Mr ****** and bear the extra expense of shipping both ways, as well as internal expenses concerning titling etc. We offered to assist in the claim against the transporter or reimburse him a reasonable amount towards the repairs. Attached is a link to the electronic bill of lading for both pick up and drop off. To Whom It May Concern,I am filing this complaint against Exotic Motors Dealership due to their fraudulent misrepresentation of the vehicle I purchased, which has caused me significant financial harm. The dealership advertised the vehicle as being in excellent condition, but upon taking ownership, I discovered that it was far from what was promised.Immediately after purchase, I encountered the following issues that were not disclosed:1.Bald Tires: The tires were dangerously worn and required immediate replacement, costing me $1,700.2.Missing Drivers Side Armrest: Replacing this essential component cost $1,200.3.Broken Rear Passenger Seat Lift Handle: Repairing this issue cost an additional $2,000.4.Extensive Repairs at ********** Dealership: To bring the vehicle to basic working order, I incurred costs exceeding $4,000.Additionally, the ********** dealership has projected that over $15,000 in further repairs will be necessary within the next 12 months to maintain the vehicle's operability and safety.The totality of these issues and expenses clearly demonstrates that the vehicle was not as advertised and that the dealership knowingly misrepresented its condition. This amounts to fraudulent business practices, and I am seeking compensatory damages for the financial losses incurred.I request the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter and hold Exotic Motors accountable. I also seek reimbursement for the repair costs already incurred and a resolution to prevent other consumers from being similarly deceived.Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. Mr. ****** purchased a 12 year old car with 95k miles on it for ***** plus fees and taxes. The vehicle he purchased has good service records reported to Car fax see attached. Mr. ****** also signed the ** IS NO WARRANTY papers that are attached along with DocuSign history. As is means as is. On cars that are more than 8 years old Exotic Motors requires customers to sign the AS IS paperwork. Mr. ****** was also offered a comprehensive extended service contract which he declined to purchase. Waiver attached. Mr ****** was explained the conditions of the sale, and had full knowledge of his entire purchase. He purchased a ****** 12 year old ********** without a warranty. It was his choice not to purchase a warranty. We are a for profit business, but also attempt to guide our customers into making wise choices to protect their investment in a pre owned vehicle. It seems to be a bit extreme that he would expect Exotic to pay almost 2x the value of the car in compensation, 15k of which is for future maybe possible issues. Mr. ****** knew full well that there was no warranty on the vehicle except for the mandated Illinois used car engine and transmission 15 day 500 mile warranty. None of his issues fall under that warranty. The bottom line is he purchased a 12 year old pre driven vehicle. No one has a crystal ball to see future repairs or issues. That is why we recommend purchasing a warranty. In addition some of the repairs recommended are priced extremely high and depending on how many mechanics you ask, there would be multiple opinions on what is really needed. I seems like Mr. ****** is looking for Exotic to make his vehicle into a brand new vehicle. We are not in that business. We sell good cars for reasonable prices. Prices also reflect condition and miles. We had other SUVs similar to the one Mr. ****** purchased with less miles for more money. He chose the one he purchased. The one he purchased is a nice car that no warning lights on and was in very good condition. We even offered Mr. ****** 500 out of good faith, which he declined. Exotic is not attempting to exculpate ourselves. Mr. ****** was given every opportunity to protect his investment and was made fully aware of our policy on **** vehicles. Bought 2015 escalade in late September and had hidden issues exotic motors never disclosed to me. Repaired bad struts and shocks, front end alignment, had to buy and program 2 key fobs, replaced front sensor module for cruise control, replaced cd/dvd player, and rear bumper sensors still need replacement. ***** ****** offered me money to help cover the cost but never sent a check and haven't heard from them since. This place rips people off.Business response

We are aware of the issues with ************************ was offered $750 towards his repairs and he accepted the offer. In our company we have procedures in place when issuing reimbursements. Sometimes it takes 4-5 days to process. When the check was ready for Mr ***** ***** the salesperson called him to tell him it was on its way. Mr ***** then told ***** he was unhappy about how long it took for the check to be issued, and we should keep it because we need it more than he does. We still have his check waiting for him.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I will accept the $750 check and would like to be notified with a tracking number once it is sent, because I didn't get one last time they told me they sent it fed ex next day. Hopefully, they'll keep their word this time.

On October 24, 2024, my father and I visited Exotic Motors Inc. to look for a car. I found a potential vehicle, test drove it, and expressed interest in purchasing it. The dealership requested a refundable $500 down payment. Unfortunately, my bank did not approve the loan. I informed the dealership of this, and they initially promised to refund the down payment by October 28. However, I did not receive the refund. Despite multiple follow-ups and promises from the dealership, I have yet to receive my money, and now they are not responding to my calls.Business response

I was on a process of buying a car at exotic motors and i was going to finance part of the car cost. I wired them $6.000.00 for a down payment.During the process and with out singing any contracts yet. I decided not go with the deal and cancelled it.I asked for my money back to the manager ***** ******* and he assured me that it will be not a problem getting my money back. Well it was wrong. 20 days later they havent send me any money and not answering my calls,texts and emails. 1 or 2 times i was able to talk to ***** but only to said that he will call me back and never did. They are ghosting me now and i am mentally tired of calling this people to many times and simply ignoring me.Business response

I purchased a 2012 Mustang GT 500 form exotic motors on 9/9/2024 before I completed transaction I aske sales person if the car had been modified & will it pass emissions. The sales person assured me it would pass emissions. 2 weeks later I had taken car to a Midas shop for a light bulb issue at this point I noticed that the car did not have any catalytic converters. I promptly called exotic motors and told them what I had discovered. Again the sales person assured me that car would pass emissions that it had been "tuned" to pass. I took car to have the emissions tested 10/26/24 and it failed due to no catalytic converters. Again I called dealership to speak to the ** who's name is *****. I left several messages and called back several times but every time he is either "running late" or is "busy". Still have not gotten a call back to address this issue.Customer response

We purchased the car on 8/5/2024 We put down 5 thousand dollars for a down payment the rest was to be financed. when signing papers i seen it said only ***** being put down I questioned ******* the finance guy and he told me that the other 400 went to banking fees. okay banking fees that sounds about right. well the bank calls me and asks me how much money we put down and i tell her 5k she says I'm only showing 4600 i said yes i was told the other 400 was banking fees. She ******* explains that there are no banking fees and tells me she is contacting the dealership to find out more about this. So i then receive a call from ******* from the dealership and he tells me that i have to lie to the bank and tell them that the 400 went to maintaince done on the car. and that i cannot say anything to them about banking fees. I refused to lie to the bank and the bank is making ******* put 400 back on my card. Great !!! I then text **** the salesman i had been working with during the purchase of my car and ask him when i should be receiving my tires that we had agreed on during the sale and he Failes to reply for two days then at 8 pm i get a text from him stating he will not be sending me my tires because i wouldn't tell the bank the lie about where my ******************************************************** to lie and a we owe slip that he says they will not honor.Business response

Once we discovered the customer was told they needed $400 for bank fees. We terminated the employee that said that and immediately refunded the four hundred dollars. ***** dabs has been refunded. The $400 towards her original down payment. This complaint has no merit.

I put down my deposit on April 29th I didn't go and buy my car till May 4th so the contract should still be good till the 4th but it states that I signed everything on the 29th which is why he told me not to sign the date when I was signing the papers on the contract he did give me an *** their general manager and the finance handler I was promised they would fix the dent in the door repaint all the paint that was color matched the wrong color I came from ******* which is a 1 hour drive there just so I spent two hours driving that day just to get told to go home I was there before they even opened and they're like no we can't do it today and they told me the night before to come in so I came the next day sat there for 6 hours and they didn't even take care of the one major part that I needed there was erosion in the paint on the hood and he finally did that but now my hood is fixed but the grill it's fiberglass so it looks like the guy put his knee against it and it broke it inwards because I can't pull it out I'd have to break it to fix it there was pieces falling out of it already breaking and it wasn't like that I work at a detail shop for a charter bus I know what it looks like I cleaned it before I took it in so they could see what was dust and what was mismatched paint I was promised another fob key which they said will happen under their conditions when they say so but I need it before the end of that 30 days where the *** is no longer valid and they won't take any of my text messages my calls my emails nobody's answering that the communication there is horrible they promise to fill up my tank when I came back they gave me a quarter tank they lost the only keychain I had on my keys which did mean something to me said they were going to fix it never did never bought me another one the car overall is good but not how it looked online I took it to the mechanic and he said it has lot rot. To this day I've been emailing them and I still haven't gotten a responseBusiness response

This complaint is very disturbing to us . We went above and beyond to help. We did fix everything on the Due bill including an extra key. We checked the video when we were accused of damaging the vehicle and stealing a keychain. Nothing on the video cameras. We even offered to buy ***** a new key chain. We absolutely can not fix damage that we did not cause. We have responded to every request that was asked. We had the car painted on the bumpers and touched up. as well as removal of the dent. We strive for full customer satisfaction and went above and beyond for this customer, we even offered to take the car back from her but were refused--Thank you,***** *.GENERAL MANAGERInitial Complaint

I was sold an LR4 on December 26, 2024. Soon after my rear brakes began squeaking very loudly. I had them repaired at ****** in *******, **. I was told the brake pads were virtually nonexistent and I should never have been sold a car in that condition due to how unsafe it was. The cost was $847. I requested a reimbursement from Exotic Motors since they should have checked the car thoroughly prior to selling it, and clearly did not. They have been extremely difficult to get ahold of. I have been hung up on and treated very poorly by the entire staff including the owners. They will only agree to reimburse me for $300. I was told I would be cut a check on Monday, May 13 and it would be overnighted. I still have not received a check. I called to inquire about it on May 17. I was hung up on, treated very badly, and no one will give me a straight answer. I have also been lied to about the fact that there is a girl who cuts the checks, when I am told that its only the owners. I am baffled as to what to do since I have been dealing with this for months now. The owners will not speak to me either. Not only is this extremely poor business practice, they are abusive, and sell unsafe vehicles. I would like to have a full reimbursement for my rear brakes. I am extremely concerned that this business does not care about the state of their vehicles or those they sell them to.Business response

We were notified over 6 months after about the brakes. When the car was brought back for inspection the brakes were tested and found to be in line with all safety standards. Squeaking is common on some cars due to the composition on the pads and rotors. The brakes only squeaked when the pedal was pressed initially.$ 847 for rear brakes is an exceptionally high price. We offered to reimburse you for our cost on the brakes. But that was not sufficient even after 6 months of driving

I am rejecting this response because:I purchased the vehicle in December of 2023. The brakes were replaced in February of 2023. I notified the dealership of these issues in April since the vehicle has continued to have multiple problems. December - April (dates are on attached screenshot) is actually less than 5 months since purchasing the vehicle, not over 6 months as the manager - ***** - claims. I was told I would only receive a mere $300 reimbursement if, and only if, left them a good review first. This is an unethical and threatening way of conducting any business.
As can be seen from the attached screenshots I was given one excuse after another and often not responded to at all.
This matter remains unresolved and I will continue to address it until I receive a full reimbursement.

In response to ******** response, i never asked her for a review in exchange for positive review period we only ask for reviews based on merit. If someone else asked her for a review in exchange for reimbursement. That is not how it should be. I believe $300 is a fair reimbursement amount. I don't have any records of us trying or being asked to repair first. ****** paid an extremely high price for one axle of breaks pads and rotors. I don't believe it is a responsibility to pay her extra. To revisit and possibly give her a bit more.

On Wednesday May 1, 2024, I put down a $1000 deposit on a vehicle. They were obligated to make repairs to the vehicle before I would accept delivery. The repairs were never made. After multiple requests on Monday May 6, 2024, I was assured the refund was processed. It has not hit my credit card and multiple calls to the company go unanswered.
