On October 5th, 2023, BBB Serving Northern Indiana requested that the company substantiate, modify, or discontinue its advertising claims regarding incorrect physical address on website; and consumer reports through our scam tracker system that the products they have received from orders are not the products they purchased.
The BBB Code of Advertising states that: Basic Principles of the Code - Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.
BBB Received an e-mail from support@sultanbodyoil.com stating, “I can verify the products on my website was the products sent to customers i have inventory photos that corresponds to the product photos listed on the website, what do you need from me exactly?” BBB requested documentation and extended their deadline to respond to 11/10/23. No further communication from Sultan Body Oils. As of 11/7/23 the business has failed to provide documentation to our inquiries concerning their website advertising.
