I was forced to move out of my apartment with less than 30 days notice due to a water leak in my BRAND NEW building. They said it was a warranty issue and it would take a while to fix, but my apartment was not inhabitable, so they offered to release me from my lease without penalty... so they said. They sent me a move out statement with rent for a week after I moved out along with thousands of dollars in extremely excessive damages, that they couldn't even provide pictures of. I disputed all of this and agreed to paid about half of the balance, but that wasn't good enough for this blood-thirsty, money-hungry construction development company, of course. They sent a collection agency after me WHILE we were in active dispute over the balance and the collection agency ILLEGALLY debited my account for the entire balance without my permission. I've NEVER experienced this kind of treatment, but my only option is to spend more money on legal representation to TRY and recoup the money they STOLE from me. I've made multiple efforts to try and come to a reasonable resolution with the property management, and collection company and I've left messages for the regional Denver office, but nobody cares about helping me or even trying to get back in contact with me. I do not recommend their properties to anyone.Review from Illya G

This is review of apartment complex in ********. Citadel at ************. The apartment itself is fine, but Im really disappointed with the managements handling of fees and penalties. They seem to look for ways to add bogus charges. For example, they are inconsistent with trash pick-up times, but if tenants leave trash outside the specified window, they quickly apply penalties. When I pointed this out to the management office and requested a one-time adjustment, they wouldnt budge and used very dry language, saying its corporate policy and theres nothing they can do about it. Additionally, when we were signing up for the lease, some fees were initially said to be refundable, but when we actually signed, they claimed those fees were not refundable. This was very frustrating and almost made us back out. These unfair practices make living here frustrating. Not recommended.
