I contacted ACA to have them bring out their fiber optic camera and scope my sewer line, which clogs repeatedly. They showed up no camera expecting to treat a clog. No bid deal, though I explained this to the person on the phone in detail "not an emergency, requesting diagnostic". Crew said I would get a call back for reschedule. Didn't happen, called them to set up reschedule. Crew showed up the next week, as scheduled. Scoped sewer pipe, stated it was dipping in three places. This took 10 minutes and the charge was $397.50. Wasn't expecting that, but, oh well. "What do I need to do take care of it?". Have to dig up the line, 60 feet, and put in new, level PVC, for proper drainage. Will call you with a quote tomorrow, next day at the latest. Of course, no call. Called three times and left 3 messages with receptionist. No return phone call, guy was "not in his office", no quote, no response, no nothing. Got my 400 bucks, see you later. If you have to "pull teeth" like this to give a company your money, they clearly aren't worth it. Don't want their business. Just wanted to spread the word. Which I will continue to do!ACA Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing Response

On behalf of ACA’s Plumbing Department, we are very sorry that you are unhappy with the service that our company provided. Our number one priority is to take care of our customers, their needs, and demonstrate the utmost professionalism at every service. According to our records, the initial caller indeed described this problem as "not an emergency" and requested a camera to scope the line, prompting the office to schedule service for the following week. At the appointment time, our records indicate that you were unable to keep that appointment and needed to reschedule service. A new appointment was scheduled and confirmed, at which point our tech came out with our scoping camera and diagnosed "three major bellies in the line". You are correct in indicating that our tech's were there for a short amount of time. It appears that the primary reason that your bill was more than expected was due to the use of our camera to scope the line. This should have been communicated better prior to the service call. I also see the need for a quote noted on your account. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a break in communication between us, for which we are truly sorry. This is not acceptable and is absolutely not up to par with our service expectations. We take great pride in listening to our customers' concerns and try very hard to meet all of their needs. I am sorry that you feel as if your needs were not met on this occasion. If you are still in need of a quote someone from our office will be reaching out to you.Review from Patrick P

Very unprofessional service. Got estimate over the phone to replace a water heater in the attic. Crew arrived late at 8:40 am on **** ******. Crew did not like the idea water heater was in attic. I am handicap and went two days before and purchased OSB wood and had it out all around water heater to make job easier. Drained the tank for them and the stairway trim removed already for the job to go easier. ***** **** complained about stairs and removed it. Replaced the water heater in place and made connections and bent hot water pipe. Complained about putting stairway back and wanted me to throw it away and buy a ladder and put styrofoam over the hole. How ignorant. Crew hurried the job and put stairway back all crooked. Had to get help and ladder to fix stairway back correctly. Very much hurry up job but still made it last to charge $800.00 labor. Very unprofessional service and would never use them again. Gladly took a check but doesn't give a receipt or invoice. I had to go to office to get it. Sad sad companyACA Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing Response

Mr. Patrick, On behalf of ACA’s Plumbing Department, we are sorry that you are unhappy with the service our company provided. Our number one priority is to take care of our customer’s, their needs, and demonstrate the utmost professionalism. This particular day this plumbing crew did not leave our shop until 8:00 AM and because Mr. ********* lives almost an hour away, the crew arrived at 8:40. Again please accept our apologies if crew was supposed to be on site at a scheduled time. We try very hard to stay on schedule throughout the day. The details you provided to us about the water heater were good, the plumber and apprentice already knew the water heater was in the attic, which does not matter to them whether it be in the attic or in a closet on the ground level. We try to complete attic change outs as quickly as possible this time of year due to the extreme heat. You drained the existing water heater and removed most of the trim for the attic access, this did help the job move along smoothly. However, when you stated the plumber “complained about the stairs and removed them”, the reason anything was mentioned was, the new water heater would not fit through the opening, thus the stairs had to be removed along with the rest of the trim in order for the new water heater to fit through the attic access. For the issue of the bent water pipe and the staircase not being put back correctly, had you contacted our office, we would have done whatever it took to get this taken care of properly or to your satisfaction. In fact when you came to our office for the receipt, (which was emailed to you at the time of your service and would have been mailed at your request), you stated the plumber and his helper did a great job and it was so nice to have hot water again, you never mentioned any issues. When you called our office with an insurance question, which was a couple days after the install, again you never stated any issues, you only stated that it was nice to have hot water again. And when you were specifically asked about the install you stated what a great job the guys did and everything looked great. We take great pride in listening to our customer’s and try very hard to meet all of their needs. To be very honest it was a complete surprise to get this review!! Thank you, ACA Plumbing DepartmentReview from Leroy M

Called ACA to repair a renai water heater. Secratary asked several questions including how old unit was. She made our appointment , when techcame out with only a screw driver took one look and said , most people buy a new one on any unit older than a 2019 and under , he said we can’t get parts for them. They new in advance the age of the unit and charged me 312.00 for a quick sales pitch! This is a scam , I’m a honest person so I paid but called the co. With my concerns hoping they would reconsider the price of a service call where nothing was tested and nothing was accomplished simply was told to get a new one . I got no call back but they cashed my check faster than any company ever has. The price of a new renai is 518.00 they were gonna charge me 2,400 for one. It’s a scamACA Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing Response

On behalf of ACA’s Plumbing Department, we are sorry that you are unhappy with the service our company provided. Our number one priority is to take care of our customers, their needs, and demonstrate the utmost professionalism at every service. You provided many good details on your initial phone call, however, there are occasions that a repair simply cannot be made. Upon arrival, our plumber came in with a screwdriver, manometer, and a voltmeter, removed the cover of your water heater, and found the board burned up. After calling Rinnai tech support, they discovered the replacement parts have been discontinued since 2019. Unfortunately, the water heater could not be repaired in this case. Many times, older water heaters can still be repaired, which is why a service call was made. Also,I'm sorry to inform you that the invoice was slightly more expensive due to the fact that you live almost an hour out of town. The invoiced price includes labor, a new water heater (with warranty), and all material needed. We take great pride in listening to our customers' concerns and try very hard to meet all of their needs. I am sorry that you feel as if your needs were not met on this occasion and do hope that you will consider doing business with us again in the future.Customer Response

They knew the age of the unit. If they had told us over the phone that there are no parts available we could have canceled the call out. They came out knowing that they couldn’t repair it. My response is that they knew it was wrong and the supervisor didn’t call back because they had our check in the bank. The invoice did not include a new one. It was strictly a call out We purchased the exact same water heater that they quoted at $2400 for $589. The tech told me when he got out the truck that units in the age range of mine cannot be repaired. So why come. It’s too late for us but I can warn others.
