I have severe disability and need a new electric wheelchair. I have been working with this company since April 24. In May, they came and took the measurements. But so far, they have not yet filed any paperwork with the insurance company. They seem to have lied to me multiple times that they have done so. Now, their wheelchair repair man, Seval, is threatening to drop me knowing perfectly well that I am in dire need of a wheelchair. They are intentionally inflicting emotional distress on me, and and threatening to inflict physical injury. I am a disabled person using a wheelchair to survive. They are well aware that I am in dire need of a new wheelchair. I emailed and called them multiple times. I left many messages for their manager ******* and she never called me back. The two people in charge, Seval and ******, are either not available or not doing what they are supposed to be doing. If they are incapable of communicating with the insurance company, they should not be running a healthcare company. I would like the owner of the company **** **********, to contact me asap.

I am responding to a complaint involving wheelchair services for a disabled individual. We have been accused of causing emotional distress and failing to properly handle insurance submissions for a new chair for ***** ********. We have provided multiple quotes and recommendations to the insurance company, but we are not responsible for insurance approvals due to being out of network. We made calls to the insurance representative named Ken  on her behalf and they were unanswered, we sent a fax to them on September 12, 2024, again unanswered. She wants to replicate her current chair, we have taken the measurements and got the quotes, but we can't help, if the insurance company isn't getting back to her or us.

Mauricio Giraldo presented at Boston Orthopedic Respiratory on 05/06/2024 to aquire parts for Permobil Left Motor SN: 2590003029 Permobil F5 Corpus VS Model Version 2. Parts could only be ordered throught licensed dealer and installed through licensed dealer. Mauricio Giraldo also requested a motor install which he was quoted $175.00
Client was explaned that the parts have to be ordered and there may be 2-4 weeks lead time to get them. There have to be a licensed tecnician to provide qualified installation of the motor to the chair. Mauricio was explained that he will requir to book the appointment for the installation.
Quote Number: P000586318-1 client order was placed with Permobil. Item was shipped ground by method of FEDEX 274723133458. Mauricio was called to schedule the appointment with the tech at 175 Main Street Charlestown since Boston Orthopedic installs Permobil parts only at Charlestown location since the installation intails proper equipment, cleaning, testing, QA controll, programming. Mauricio had demanded his parts and desided to perform his own install where he was explained that the warranty on parts will be void in case of an improper install by unqualified technician. Mauricio was advised to make an appointment and neglected however placed a demand for refund on the installation.
Provide had tried to place a refund online to the same method of payment that was used during the original transaction. However the method was invalid. Office had made the solution to offer either a merchandise credit or a check. Mouricio was called several times to appear in person to AP department or submit the valid W-9 for a refund.
Mauricio keeps sending a negative reviews and mad messages instead of providing proper documentation for provision of the refund. Office does carry hardship of communication barrier since Mauricio English skills are limited and translator is not always available on site.
Can Mauricio call Boston Orthopedic and submit proper documentation for the refund at info@bostonorthoresp.com
Boston Othopedic will return the amount of $175.00 after all the documents are recieved.

Rented a mobility scooter from this company for use on July 4 in Boston. The scooter broke down in the middle of the street and was unusable. Company made an unworkable offer to fix scooter (would have been too late in the day). I have asked for a refund (paid $214). They offered $45 which is unacceptable. Most discouraging is that they have misled and misrepresented multiple times. Not a good consumer facing business.

    Better Business Bureau:

The business made a partial financial offer of $100 to resolve the matter which I have accepted.  I will never do business with this firm again but this was better for me than trying to deal with these people any longer.

    Regards,
