Tried to order from PayPal on 2/18/2022 using PayPal for an order total of $304 without taxes. PayPal account had more than $400 so I wanted to use my PayPal account to pay for it. Unfortunately, the website had a problem telling me to recheck my "card". However, I never used a card since I was using PayPal.Nevertheless, it automatically put a hold on my PayPal account so $304 is sitting in limbo. Can't try it again because they're holding my money and I only have $100 left in PayPal. Don't want it to use my bank account. According to Target's website, they can extend the authorization hold up to 365. Site also claims you can remove the items from cart or PayPal information and it'd remove the hold. Tried both and neither worked.Customer service was unhelp and rude. She eventually just canceled the chat after I asked how to prevent this from happening again. $304 is in limbo due to this. PayPal transaction - 9EU0052466195301Y Target cart ID: Cart # ************* Only reason I am filing is because I expect them to keep the authorization hold on this PayPal payment for weeks or even months. Customer support didn't give a c*** and didn't act like it was a problem when it is. In these times with the ** economy in the toilet and inflation through the roof, $304 is a lot of money for many people. Please finalize the order and send it. After that, I'll never visit Target's website again.Business response

I placed a order for a Apple Watch on Target.com. When I got the package. I gave my daughter for her birthday, when she opened the package. We were in so upset that instead of finding a Apple Watch (that was the legionary, item we ordered). Instead, we found a damaged busted cereal box in the package. The package dont seem to have any signs of tampering in it as it was even handed to me by the carrier. Their was no Apple Watch to be found. Eventually I called target about the issue and Target,com doesnt seem to care, they claim that to be a successful delivery regardless if a customer got the correct item or not. They had didnt care to resolve a issue, what kind of customer service is that. Im so upset and want this resolved. The cereal is not what I paid for. I paid for an Apple Watch and Im being screwed badly here by this company. I want this resolved now.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
You can not call a successful delivery, when the customer didnt get the correct item they ordered. I dont accept this respond because this is just a horrible response and I didnt get my item. Regardless if it was someone elses item or not or they just put the wrong item in inside the package. Wont admit they made the mistake. Target.com is s******* me over and think its ok. I didnt order no cereal I ordered an Apple Watch. I got the screenshots and a photo of what I received in my package to provide proof of all this and will take this future with my bank, Apple,com, social media, and also my local news to inform others know that Target thinks its ok to s**** over their customers. This is so wrong. I cant believe Target would do this to a customer. This is just truly sad.Initial Complaint

I made an online order in December , 2021. The order was subsequently cancelled 12-20-21 as I never picked it up. Target Card refunded the charge on my card but NEGLECTED to return a $10 gift card that was used on the purchased. They refunded my card $32.40 and kept my $10 gift card. I called on 1-20-22 to get it back and was told it would be in my account in 10 days. Nothing in my account or sent to my email. I called yesterday to follow up and it took me 40 minutes, 3 people, all asking me the same questions to and getting nowhere. I called back to cancel the Target card and the person for 10 minutes tried to transfer me to someone else to get me the return of the gift card. It was $10, and Target wasted 2 hours of my time and I had to ask the man on the phone to cancel my card 10 times till he finally did it. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and ********************** just lined their pockets and kept what was not theirs. I want that $10 gift card and I CANCELLED the Target Card.Business response

My Target order, which was paid with Target gift cards, was cancelled and I received my refund via email with a link to a new Target e-gift card on 12/13/21. That link produces an error. I want my gift card refund re-issued immediately. Also, I received e-gift cards as gift during the holidays in December 2020 and those links are no longer accessible either. Why is this happening? Physical and electronic gift cards are not supposed to expire.Business response
