I purchased a Bow for deer season in 2023. I was sighting it in and only fired it a couple of times when the cable broke damaging the bow. There was a lengthy process, and the company sent me a replacement from the factory in February of 2024. Deer season was over, so I didn't get it out until this season in October of 2024. I was trying to site it in, and the exact same thing happened!! I have filed numerous claims trying to get the company to respond and they will not. I have several claim numbers for the same problem and have not been contacted at all other than automated service. I have been trying since October to resolve this issue. I paid a lot of money for a bow two seasons ago and have not been able to use it at all when hunting. At this point I do not feel confident using their product and could have been seriously injured. I would like my money back if possible, This bow was brand new, and I should be entitled to a refund. Their customer service is nonexistent and it seems impossible to talk to an actual person. I have been way more than patient and work hard for my money. I as a consumer who does things right would like and deserve the appropriate refund since they have offered no solution. Thank You ******* ******* **********************Business response

On 7-10-23 I purchased the ************** crossbow from Killer Instinct. Prior to my purchase I had email communication with them raising the limb breakage issue. They acknowledged the issue and placed blame on user error and using bolts aka arrows that are too light. Oddly they include underrated bolts with their bows. I accepted their answer and bought heavier bolts with my purchase to avoid damage and I have used and stored the bow with the upmost care, exceeding proper standards. I called them 10-13-24 when my bow started to crack. I demanded a refund because it was now clear they are intentionally selling unsafe bows. Their marketing has flooded the market and their warranty does not make the bow safe. It sets the user up for a second failure. These bows are causing not only harm to users but also to animals that get wounded instead of ethically harvested.Initial Complaint

The crossbows that this company makes are horrible. They break and fall apart. They can and have caused serious injuries to people. I have seen so many complaints online and on ******** groups about this. I cannot believe that there is not a class action lawsuit yet. My limbs on my bow have broke 2 times in less than two years.Initial Complaint

Purchased a Vital X crossbow from ******************** on 10-30-2024. Received on 11-1-2024. Took out of box on 11-2-2024. I put bow together and started the sighting on process. Now has an issue I have never experienced. Something with the timing of the limbs. Contacted bow tech at ************ and he agreed. Advised me this was a warranty issue and to contact Killer Instinct. I have held on the phone waiting to talk to someone for a total of 4 hours combined throughout my 9 attempts calling. I have submitted 5 separate forms through their website with no response other than a generic computer generated reply. I need help. The bow package was $349.99. Regular retail was $499.99. I have zero faith in this crossbow. Also have zero faith I will get a reply from Killer Instinct. This is probably my 6th crossbow over the years. By far worst purchase and no customer support.Initial Complaint

I purchased a crossbow from Killer instinct in 2023 and registered it with them. I had several issues with it one in 2023 and again in 2024. I was asked to return the crossbow and Killer Instinct said they would replace it with a new one. After waiting for two weeks I never received it. I have reached out to them via emails about eight times and they returned two of them stating they would ship my bow. I never received it and I have spent over 11 hours waiting on hold for the next customer service representative with no luck. Im unable to use a compound bow due to shoulder surgery. At this point Im very disappointed with since all I want to do is archery ****. Im hoping that BBB can help resolve this issue. Thank you ***** ****Initial Complaint

I purchased my Killer Instinct SWAT crossbow from an authorized Killer Instinct retailer. I've had problems with it that are covered by the lifetime warranty but I am completely unable to get any support from the company. I have a ticket open with them through their online system and nobody calls me back. My crossbow has been rendered dangerous as I could still use it but doing so would risk my safety. The part that is broken should be covered under the lifetime warranty of the product. I need support. The company has my name and contact information available on the ticket I opened. Ticket number 3154 on Oct.17 2024.Initial Complaint

Killer Instinct Lethal 405 Cross bow was purchased 2 years ago. While sitting in my tree stand last week, the bow limb blew up almost causing me to fall from my stand. I contacted the company and sent pictures of just the limb that broke, in which they first offered to have me send them my bow, pay for the limbs but they would cover the repair and shipping back to me. After accepting, the company emailed me again saying the back of the bow also needed replaced. Again, I never attached a photo of the whole bow, just the Limb. They told me they will not repair it but instead just to buy a new bow from their website. Upon that B.S. response I started doing more research and found this company has issues with their quality control on limbs and this seems to be an ongoing problem. All I wanted was a repair in which I was willing to pay for the replacement limbs. it has now got to the point where I might file a class action against this company due to their lack of care in the product they sell that has potential to injure/kill end users.
