I pay for the upgraded service so I can ask questions. I waited in the queue for over half an hour to get to an agent named Gwendolyn. I told her I had a question about a form and asked if she could answer the question to which she responds "I can try". I had chatted in a couple days prior to ask the same question and after waiting for 45 minutes to be connected with someone they said they had to get me to someone more experienced. I then waited another 20 minutes and the chat didn't even say I was in a queue! So when I talked to Gwendolyn and she wasn't sure she could answer my question, I asked to be transferred to someone that knew my question because I need a confident answer not someone just guessing. I asked to be transferred 4 times and she just wouldn't respond so then I asked to be transfered to a manager, I requested this 3 times and Gwendolyn ended the chat so then I had to start all over again. I have now been back in the queue for another 45 minutes, I keep getting down to 45 or 55 in the queue and then it jumps back up to 110 or 120 in the queue. I have screenshots to prove this. Is H&R Block ok with how their agents are representing their company? Is this how you treat paying customers? I have used H&R Block for years but I will never use them again. I can't believe I am paying to be treated like this by their team members. I understand you guys are busy but there are customers PAYING for this service and our time is valuable. Do better H&R Block and don't have people like Gwendolyn representing your business.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from H&R Block regarding my 2023 tax filings. Here’s the timeline of events: • March 27: My taxes were filed. I was told I owed taxes to Kansas and Missouri, and that was it. However, one of the documents for Kansas City indicated that I owed $768. I questioned this with my tax professional on March 21 and was assured that all I owed was to Kansas and Missouri. Trusting their expertise, I disregarded the document. • May 10: I received a notice from Kansas City stating I owed $813.67. I immediately contacted my tax professional, who assured me on May 14 that they had taken care of it. • October 11: I received a call from the city regarding my unpaid balance. On October 12, I contacted the tax professional again and was told they were following up. After that, I heard nothing further. • December 7: I received a letter stating my balance had been sent to collections. I had to call the city myself to resolve the issue, only to learn that the amended return submitted on my behalf was filled out incorrectly. • December 10: I requested a full refund for the service, as I do not feel I was provided with the professional service I paid for. I was offered only a $35 refund for the Kansas City filing, which I find unacceptable given the stress, additional costs, and time I spent correcting their mistakes. Since then, I have called and messaged multiple times but still have no resolution. Every time I ask to speak to a supervisor, I’m told the matter will be escalated, and I will receive a response within five days. That has not happened, and I am still waiting for my refund. I trusted H&R Block to handle my taxes accurately and professionally, and they failed on both counts. Their lack of accountability and customer service is unacceptable. I cannot recommend their services to anyone and strongly advise others to be cautious when considering them for tax preparation.

Highly disappointed in this company they do not stand behind their product or practice peace of mind, that's a piece of garbage. It does absolutely nothing for you. They'll deny everything.Blame everything on you they do not take responsibility for their actions or mistakes. They will completely ignore you in the end. When you have an issue

If you like errors, disorganization, and gaslighting, Joan at the Wethersfield H&R Block is your gal. If you value your time, money, and sanity, find a real accountant. If you think the corporate office will care about your concerns, think again. I have never encountered a more unprofessional operation in my life. H&R Block does not just block your taxes—they block your patience, dignity, and faith in humanity. RUN. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY!

A quarter of my taxes were not included in the filing process for 2022. The preparer did not request adequate documentation in her filing, did not follow up with me to verify all documents were provided, and then proceeded to blame me for failure to provide them as though the only reason their service was utilized was for any other reason than to assist in that process. I ended up owing a staggering amount in back-taxes (plus interest). After paying the additional amount, I filed for the reimbursement for the interest from HR Block and after more than six months of watching them fumble around like idiots and going through six different individuals, I officially give up. Even the employees expressed frustration with their inability to do nearly anything beyond nothing. There isn't a supervisor or manager on site at three different locations I visited. There isn't a corporate phone number to call. They basically give you the following options: 1) let us do your taxes; and 2) that's it. The number of poor reviews I've left could be counted on one hand, but I can't stress enough that this is the least competent company I've ever worked with from every, potential angle. Avoid at all costs.

Do not use them. My identity has been stolen. Hacked into their system and got all of my info. Their "support" system is not helpful.

The Genoa office processed my 2023 taxes and caused me to overpay thousands which I received back. I left a message for the preparer which was never returned. I went to the office in person where I was told it was my fault for not notifying them of prepaid taxes, and they would speak to the preparer and contact me in return. None of that happened and I'm still waiting 2 months later for an explanation.

This so called business has been the worst experience I’ve ever gone through ?????? They don’t care about you ?? They made mistakes 3 years in a row ??that cost me thousands ?? they have 0 accountability, they make up their own rules to benefit and protect themselves ?? I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy ??
