Similar to all of the other complaints on here I have received a scam letter from this bogus company with all kinds of URGENT and IMMEDIATE keywords that most of us are taught is the biggest red flag to look for in scams. Other red flags include mis-spelled words (really?) and no return address. The phone numbers are registered to a ghost address that doesnt exist. If you are a consumer and you are reading this, DO NOT REACH OUT TO THESE PEOPLE.Business response

The company sent out a "Final Notice" in the mail that was purposely meant to mislead someone that the piece of mail was a check made out to their name. It has the distinct appearance of "To the order of" next to the name and address. This is intentionally misleading and should not be allowed. I would also like to note that this company is using information that is out of date by months as I do not even own the vehicle they were referencing in the mailer they sent.Business response

Company engages in misleading & false advertising. They send mail out that looks very official, pretending to be a government agency - even using the words "VEHICLE SERVICES DIVISION", with no business name on it. It appears to be a check, but it's a solicitation for an extended warranty. They attempt to appear official, and the check part even looks official, but it's just an advertisement. I could see how this could be very confusing to the elderly or people without their full mental faculties. Not only is it false & misleading, but it's adding to my junk mail & super annoying. I'm also filing a complaint with the TX attorney general.Business response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
This is clearly a stock response that was copied and pasted. Is the business trying to deny that the attached mailer was theirs? Because that’s what it sounds like in their response. And if that’s the case, I’m sure the Attorney General would like to know about it.
Taking me off the mailing list isn’t a satisfactory resolution. Never sending out direct mail might be one. Or perhaps taking a business ethics in marketing and advertising course legally prescribed to by the State would be better? They can’t seem to see what’s wrong with the deceptive marketing practices they’re using, so that’s probably the best route forward, in my opinion.
Sincerely,

Car warranty scam received in the mail. Misleading marketing (concern trolling) intentionally designed to impersonate the DMV. They don't specify who they are or what they do – they just urge you to immediately send a blank check, under the impression that you owe the authorities money. Business: Auto Repair Network, but they call it "Vehicle Services Division" Please shut them down.Business response

I filed a claim with Auto Repair Network (*** **** **** ******** * *********** ** ***** my agreement number is ********** at the beginning of November. I sent in all the paperwork needed to process my claim. When talking to the adjustor he was very rude and wasn't trying to help me. So my fiancee called the customer service line and they agreed to waive the November payment and get our claim pushed through. Once the dealership called me and let me know the adjustor came out and checked the car I called them back to see what the hold up was because my car had already been sitting at the dealership for almost a month. They assured me that it was approved and i would have my car back before Christmas. Today I got a call from the dealership stating I had to have my car removed from their shop by Friday because they haven't heard from anyone and when he calls them he gets a recording. **** in the service department at ************ ******** ***** **** *** *** **** ** ******* *** ************* ** ***** ************* has been more then patient with me and the insurance company. So now I cant even pay for my car out of pocket. I had to pay $100 to get my car towed back to my residence until I can find a good shop to fix it. And when I called them today to cancel the policy ********* in customer service couldn't believe it still wasn't taken care of yet. She tried to get me to keep the policy and give them more chances to prove themselves but i was at my limit with false promises from them. She did cancel the policy and assured they would no longer draft my card. But since I don't believe a word they say I had to cancel my card and order a new one with a new number just to be on the safe side. I purchased the policy on 5/24/2022 and this was the first time I've needed to use it. They also gave **** a Hard time when he diagnosed the transmission was the issue and needed a new one. we where even willing to get a rebuilt one but they still wasn't trying to help me at all. The total I paid to the company is $1,520.35Business response

To whom it may concern,
We apologize for any inconvenience you had regarding the claim process. Auto Repair Network does not approve or deny claims these are handled by the administrator of your policy, which is ***** **** ****. Auto Repair Network attempts to help in any matter regarding the claim but the final decision is up to the administrator.
We reviewed this claim process with ***** **** ****, and they advised that they had this claim open for processing. They explained that they did attempt to work with **** in a timely manner but sometimes each party would reach voicemails and must follow up. Also, there was delay in finding the transmission needed for this repair, which was outside anyone control.
Auto Repair Network contacted Mr. and Mrs. ****** and explained the options for moving forward with the claim or processing the refund. Mr. and Mrs. ****** opted to not move forward with the claim.
To resolve this issue, Auto Repair Network has issued a full refund back to ******* ****** in the amount of $1915.35. This was sent via **** and should be received within the next 7 to 10 business days. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Customer Service Department at ************ Monday – Friday.

I signed up with this company because I thought they were part of the manufacturer warranty. I realized it wasn**;t and called back the next day and cancelled and they were supposed to refund us $250 in 3-5 business days. It has been a couple weeks so I called again and spoke to a rep who didn**;t want to do anything. He then stated I had 2 accounts. At this point, I don**;t know if they charged me twice or not.Business response

To whom it may concern,
We apologize for any confusion regarding the cancellation processes, but we did only charge the account one time in the amount of $250.00, which was refunded back to the card on file on 10/19/2022. The reason the system showed two policies was because we had to correct the year of the vehicle and we transferred the down payment to the corrected file without charging his card again.

My aunt ******* *****, as Auto Repair Network spelled it, signed up for a car warranty. I have durable POA for ******* and upon seeing the charge on her bank account I contact Auto Repair Network to cancel and request a refund. I submitted my POA to ******** ***** via email with the request to cancel and a refund. ******** said she was unsure of how the refund would be processed since it was paid via a check over the phone. She said she was emailing "administration" for approval of the request and would follow up with me the following business day by email. I have followed up by email multiple times and attempted to use a phone extension ******** gave me that is not an option. After several email ******** said the refund was approved and would be sent in *******'s name to my address. When I asked when it would be sent ******** said we discussed it would take 4-6 weeks. I don't recall any such conversation because the only time I spoke with ******** she didn't even know how the refund would be processed. She also said that people get paid to do bad reviews on the BBB website. After reading the company responses to complaints on the BBB website that say they are sending a refund in 7-10 business days my question now is, why was I told 4-6 weeks? I also asked months ago for ******* to be removed from their mailing list and she is still receiving solicitations which need to stop.Business response

To Whom it May Concern,
Auto Repair Network apologizes for any inconvenience the refund process may have caused, which can delay the refund process since these have different processes then credit or debit cards. We have confirmed that *** *****’s initial investment of $195.00 has cleared, so a full refund has been issued to *** ***** and sent to the address provided. This was mailed via **** on 9/19/2022 and should be delivered within in the next 7- 10 business days.
We have also reviewed our records and do not show a previous request to be removed from our list, please note that there are other companies in our industry that she could be receiving these notices from. *** ***** has been removed from our mailing list and will not receive any additional notices from our office.
If you have any additional questions, please contact our Customer Support Team at ************.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: First of all, it's than and not then. Next, the refund check was written the day after I made a BBB complaint so I feel the 4-6 week guideline was information given arbitrarily to delay the refund as long as possible. ******** ***** from Auto Repair Network did tell me that people get paid to make bad BBB reviews on companies so needless to say, any information given by Auto Repair Network is suspect. Finally, I did make a request to this company to stop mailings, however; it seems every car warranty company says it must have been another one. So again, I find this information suspect. I will be satisfied when no future communication with this business is an actuality.

I paid off my extended warranty back in March 2022. My car was stolen. I called to cancel the warranty because I still had about 3 years on it. They were supposed to send me my prorated refund. Every time I call they say to give it 10 business days and I should receive it in the mail. I never have. They owe me $1146.16.Business response

March 04, 2022 Auto Repair Network Representative "****" refused to comply with my wishes in ending my warranty with them and continuously tried to resell and ensure my loyalty with their company. After seven attempts of insisting that he cancel my warranty and stating that I would report him to his manager, he cursed at me and hung up without confirming that he would cancel my warranty.Business response

To Whom It May Concern,
Auto Repair Network has reviewed the call between Mr. ******** and our representative and addressed any training opportunities since customer stratification is our highest priority. However, at no time during the call did our representative curse at Mr. ********.
On 3/4/2022, Mr. ******** contacted our office to discontinue the purchased coverage plan, which was processed that day. Mr. ******** purchased a Vehicle Service Contract in June 2021, so our representative attempted to see why Mr. ******** is wishing to discontinue to coverage since he has had the policy for over 6 months.
To resolve this issue, we will issue a pro-rated refund based on the terms of the purchased contract. Mr. ******** will receive this via check in the next 7 – 10 business days, which will be mailed to the address we have on file via USPS.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Customer Support Team at ************ Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM CST.
