I have told them to stop calling, blocked numbers that keep calling from them yet they keep calling from new numbers. It is harassment at this point.     Solar panels are not working properly we contacted the monitoring company which inform that the microinverters are not working we contacted Momentum and asked them to send a technician to check the microinverters and they have refused to do so meanwhile they still collecting payment every month we are requesting a technician to come check the panels at no extra charge

    Momentum Solar has been in communication with the homeowner.Following a site visit on 12/19/24, Momentum Solar made the necessary repairs to restore the system's functionality. During the visit, the homeowner confirmed that a different solar company had previously handled the removal and reinstallation of the solar panels. Momentum Solar informed the homeowner that this company did not adhere to the original design specifications. As a result,the warranty has been voided, and the homeowner was notified that any future services would be subject to additional charges.

    Solar was installed on my house 11-27-2024 after I paid the entire project off before the work began. System instsllation was completed 3 days later and the system was turned on. The next day the system was turned off by Momentum and I was told that it was because they were awaiting approvals from the Lawnside Borough township inspectors and PSE&G. Since that time i(***** ******) have not been able to contact anyone from Momentum. There was no problem contacting Momentum or getting responses until they were paid in full! Now all I get is answering machines without getting any call backs. No dates for final inspection or start up. In no way is this acceptable after payment. I write this complaint attempting to resolve this issue and get my system on line by 12-27-2024 so my ***************** bill will be my last.

    I am rejecting this response because:why should it take me notifing the BBB, and contacting the township inspectors to get a response from Momemtum? I will be satisfied when the system is on line and making at least 45 to 50 kw of electricity per day. That is what it is suppose to do. The only calls I received from Momemtum were one call about the inspection dates after I went to the township myself, and one call about signing off on some financing paperwork. My project is paid for so the call was not necessary. Apparently one hand does not know what the other is doing at ********. How am I suppose to be confident that if there is a problem I will be serviced? The interest on my 39k will not be refunded to me so I am just getting robbed.

Momentum Solar will maintain ongoing communication with the homeowner until the solar system is fully energized and operational.

    When we purchased our Solar panels with Momentum Solar in 2017 we were told that when we were ready to replace our roof Momentum would remove, and put back the solar panels free of charge. They are now trying to charge us over $10,000 thousand dollars. We would have never purchased the panels from them if they would have not promised the free removal as we knew and they advised that a new roof was needed in the next 10 years. We are now looking to have our roof replaced and Momentum is not trying to keep their word, having our panels removed by anyone else will void the service warranty. Momentum has apparently changed their services after our 2017 purchase but that is not a reason not to keep us under the prior agreement and want to charge an outrageous amount.

    This homeowner contacted us and stated that they were promised a free removal and reinstallation when they acquired the solar system. Momentum was using a document for certain customers who were given this promotion during a specific time period. Mr. ****** was unable to provide us with any documentation, so as a courtesy we offered to significantly discount the price for the removal and reinstallation (by two-thirds our standard price). The homeowner has been unwilling to resolve the issue despite the fact we have been trying to work with them to come to a resolution in light of them not having any documentation. We are more than happy to move forward with this removal and reinstallation when the homeowner is ready.

    Momentum Solar installed panels on my roof in 2022. I have been receiving high PSE&G bills and notified the solar company that they are not working property. I have made several calls and I am being given the run around being told that they don't service the solar panels any longer. I was sent to ****** and they will not service the panels either. Now they are telling me to go to yet another company. This has been going on for several months. To day, the panels are still not working. In addition, I have a flock of birds nesting under the panels. I have requested that this be addressed with no help on that end either.

    Momentum Solar has been in contact with the homeowner and has confirmed the service appointment for Monday, December 16, 2024. During this visit, Momentum Solar will install critter guards to prevent animals from nesting under the solar panels and will troubleshoot the solar system to restore it to full functionality. To set proper expectations, please note that if animals are still nested under the panels at the time of the appointment, we will not be able to complete the service until they are no longer nested there.

    I am representing my mother in law in this matter. She has dementia. I am a manager of a roofing company. She needs a new roof and the solar must be removed and re-installed. The system is under warranty and we can't do this without voiding the warranty. I have been trying for 6 months to get a removal date and receive no cooperation from this company at all. I have told them repeatedly that she has dementia and to contact me directly to no avail.I can't get them to call or schedule with me a removal date so we can proceed. I do this frequently and i have never had a problem with any other company.

    I am rejecting this response because: 

    I originally filed a complaint against Momentum solar concerning the removal and re install of my mother in laws solar for reroofing purposes. They requested half of the bill up front to remove the solar panels which we paid, and the panels were removed.  I have now finished the roofing, and they will not come back unless I pay the other half in full prior to any re- install.  This is an illegal request under CSLB laws. I want them to finish the job before I pay the balance. They have refused to do so.

     

    I did not respond to a prior email concerning this issue and the case was closed. The name and owner of the system is below. My mother-in-law is 83 and I have been acting as her representative. She has had two strokes and has a memory and thinking loss. It is despicable the treatment she has received from this company.

    PS: I manage a roofing company, and I have seen firsthand how much damage solar companies are doing to customers new roofs. I have been actively employed in the roofing industry since 1979 and was a licensed contractor for 20 years and never once asked for payment in full before a job was complete. It is illegal and immoral.

During the discussion, Momentum Solar explained that the remaining balance, as per the agreement, would need to be paid in full before the solar system could be reinstalled. The homeowner agreed to make the payment, and the panels were successfully reinstalled on 1/10/25.

    I am rejecting this response because: Complaint # ********. The new roof was damaged when solar was re installed. Photos and a complaint were sent to Momentum. I was told they would be repaired. I have received no contact since and have not had time to drive the 1-1/2 hours to my mother in laws to see. She is 82 and suffered two strokes and does not deserve to be bullied by momentum. This matter has not been settled or rectified.

The homeowner plans to visit his mother-in-law's house to inspect the repairs and will reach out to Momentum Solar if any issues arise.     I am rejecting this response because: I have not been there to inspect repairs that should be done. I live 1-1/2 hours away and work full time. After all that has occurred I have no confidence in what someone tells me. I will get there when I get there. Until then this issue is unresolved.

    Solar company came, part of the pitch was a verbal statement I would get critter guards with the installation of the solar panels. The panels were installed with no guards and I was told that would be an extra charge. After an entire month trying to get a hold of someone to resolve the issue, I was told the guards were not part of the contract and I would be charged extra. It was a bait and switch, I was relentlessly hounded via calls to sign a contract, and the first issue that arose, no one was answering my phone calls. And when they finally did, they said tough luck
