            On 8.8.22 this company sent a letter requesting payment for New York Certificate of Status. They claim its necessary for legal formation of a company and financial dealings. On 8.18.22 I sent payment in the amount of $87.25. On 8.25.22 payment cleared. This is a scam. Their phone number has no answer. I've received no documentation. I would like a refund.

            I received a letter stating that I needed to pay $87.25 for a certificate for my business, ***** **** * **** LLC. I haven't received such a certificate from NY Certificate Service. for which I paid for with a bank check. Which I see now that it has many complaints against it on your website.

            I received a very official-looking letter from NY CERTIFICATE SERVICE after filing for a business stating that I needed to send $87.25 by June 15th. I paid it as I thought it was required. When I did not receive the certificate, I became suspicious and started researching and saw many complaints regarding this same "official" letter. I also spoke with an attorney and was informed this was a solicited letter and not something I was required to pay.

            I received a letter from NY CERTIFICATE SERVICE from the address *** ******* AVE ******** PLAZA ***** ***, ******, NY *****, stating I needed to send $87.25 by April 2nd, 2022. When I did not receive the certificate I became suspicious and started to do research and saw there were a lot of complaints regarding this false mail. I am a single mother of 3 children and am very disappointed I spent my hard earn money on scam mail. please help with this matter.

            Date: Sent on 3/16/22 Amount requested: $87.25 Recently filed for LLC in NY state. Received a letter that looks very official for the NY Certificate Service. NY state already offers this service for $25. Did a search and discovered this is a known scam.
