I have been a member of Matrix since 2016/2017. I have brought ***** so many memberships over 25 memberships. My fiance has broken his knee, I expressed and shown documents that he broke his knee and cannot work out anymore and due to financial reasons, I had to move over 30 miles with family. I reached out to ***** via email, and he asked for a utility bill. I called the gym and mentioned I can provide bank statements, they asked for utility, I told them I live with family and can have the owner write a letter. ***** NEVER called back. I receive a letter from *************** Systems. The person was disgustingly rude, hung up on me, and was no help. I then emailed ***** back telling him there is no way the charges can be $432.00. I can pay the cancellation fee as I requested before, but not this amount. You would think a gym that knew your ins and outs and who you brought business too would be more understanding and responsive. I've left MULTIPLE messages for ***** and *****. No response back. This is disgusting and uncalled for.

Number one ***** is no longer here and cannot help you. We told you how to cancel and you NEVER PROVIDED PROOF. We appreciate you referring your friends but you have not referred 25 members. Read your agreement. The gym has been in business 25 years and the agreement has not changed in 25 yrs.Review from Heury M

Giving you one star to reflect the way you do business at this gym.You failed to respond to my email regarding additional charges after I canceled a NON-COMMIT membership and then assigned a debt collector for an inaccurate debt. Lol. I have your contract in my email. I dont owe you anything, that's the reason my bank charged you back.The gym itself is decent, however, these people don't read and understand their own membership contract and it shows.So any new members, make sure to keep a copy of your contract.Matrix Fitness Club Response

Member sent email to cancel on 3/30/23 and was sent a response that SAME day. Here is the email written back:Heury,In order to cancel your membership as per your agreement , there is a 30 day cancellation policy, 4/8/23 will be your final club fee ($41.79) and 4/22/23 are your final dues ($65.78) which will be processed today in order for your cancellation to take effect and you can use the gym until 5/21/23. Thank you, Matrix Fitness Club This was fully explained to the member and all new members and they are required to sign and initial next to where on the agreement it is fully stated in bold writing. All members are emailed a copy of their signed agreement. Member just didnt want to pay final month."Failed to respond"??? We can forward emails that he sent to cancel on 3/30/23 and the response from Matrix Fitness Club on 3/30/23. Member needs to read any agreement that he enters into. Member did chargebacks for these amounts and was forward to a collection agency for non-payment. Member then wrote a 1 star review on ****** AND IMPERSONATED 13 people and wrote the same 1 star review which is a punishable offense( Second Degree Criminal Impersonation: ** Penal Law 190.25)which can result in serious penalties.Matrix Fitness Club Response
