I saw a 2022 ***** Challenger advertised by South Shore Mitsubishi, being sold online the guru car sales site for $19,852.00 on 9/28/2024. I sent in an email inquiry and received a response the next day asking me to come by and see the 2022 dodge for purchase.I made it down to South Shore Mitsubishi on 10/5/2024 around 4pm with my wife after she gotten off work and completed the purchase of the 2022 Dodge Challenger after 10 pm for $27,500 with a 2-year warranty for $4,5000. After thinking about this purchase for around $32,000 with the interest rate of 24% I called South Shore Mitsubishi on 10/8 Tuesday afternoon telling them I am not satisfied with the difference in the price I originally was told the car is being sold for and how much I paid for it. I spoke to salesperson **** and sales manager Jhanu, both told me that my sale was final, and the contract could not be amended. That is when I decided to make a complaint about the purchase and price difference.

South shore Mitsubishi Dealership sold me a lemon about 7 months ago. *** is a 2018 Infiniti Q50 sold to me with 50k miles. *** is fully covered under warranty and has a mileage of 64k.*** was taken to an Infiniti dealership where the diagnostic was ran and diagnostic came back that car does not have its original engine in it. *** was towed to south shore the very next day. South shore has been working on the car for over a month, since April 9, 2024. South shore contacted me yesterday may 17th saying the car is ready for pick up and work is completed, when I arrived to pick up the car, they told me the car still has a check engine light on after claiming to put in a brand new engine approved by the warranty. *** is still with south shore, they claim they are waiting on a part that is on back order for ***** days and no rental has been provided to me for the time Ive been out of a car. Southshore was going to let me take the car home knowing the job was not complete.

The vehicle was listed on Carfax for $3,500. I called the dealer directly because a 2019 vehicle with 64K miles and no bad items on a carfax report would be selling for higher. The sales person insisted that is the correct price three times when I inquired. I made an appointment and drive 40 minutes to find out the car is over $15,000 and they are trying to upsell me. What is worse, is that I spoke with a Manager named ***, who blamed his employee "*****" as being on the Spectrum and that is why he couldnt tell me the correct price! Then *** said all their vehicles that just come in automatically get listed at the $3500 price and it takes over 24 hours to update the correct price on Carfax. Nonsense. And to blame the fact his Manager blamed his sales person on the phone to confirm the $3500 price on a disability is disgusting. This is clearly misleading advertising and wasted my time. They need to correct this lying practice immediately.

After finding a truck online, I worked with ****** (a salesperson) to secure the purchase of a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 truck. On January 12, 2024, I flew in from ******** to purchase the truck. Everything went smoothly. However, it has been 2 1/2 months and we still do not have a license plate for the truck and we are unable to drive it due to that fact. I have been in contact with a few different people at the dealership (*****, ********, ******, and ******). After calling daily for over a week, I finally heard back from ****** who told me that the paperwork was incorrect, and that it was going to be resent ASAP. On 2/28 ****** sent me his personal cell phone # so I could contact him quickly if needed. On 3/4, ****** sent me a text requesting my proof of insurance. I texted him back the proof. There were a few more days of no contact/response. On 3/12 I called ****** (his cell phone) to request the status of the plate and he said that it was done & it would take 5-7 business days for the plate to be sent. On 3/19 I sent another text to follow up, no response. On 3/20 ****** responded saying that his *** clerk, ******** would call me. She did call me and said that the paperwork was incorrect but that was sent priority and would call the *** in the morning, then call me with an update. I texted ****** on 3/26 asking again for an update and have not heard back. We have made 2 payments and are paying insurance on a vehicle that we cannot even drive due to their negligence. I am requesting that they contact me with SPECIFIC information on the status of the plate, and would love some sort of financial compensation for all of the time/money lost during this process. I've tried to be patient and to work directly with the dealership, but I'm left with no choice but to file a complaint. I have only attached the text messages, but I can send more information if needed

    Better Business Bureau:

At this time, my complaint, ID ******** regarding South Shore Mitsubishi has been resolved. After leaving a bad review on their website, I finally got a call back from ****** at the dealership. He begged me to remove the bad review, and I told him I would do it after I received the check they agreed to send me. The next day I received a check via ***** Overnight. I am not surprised that they did not respond to the BBB message. The good news is I won't be filing any more complaints against them because I will never buy another vehicle from them again. Haha! I'm glad to be able to put this behind me/us. Thank you for your effort/work with this!

The one response I received was well take care of it and find out what happened with the plates. After that no one has reached out or returned my calls or emails My credit is being tarnished because of this and I am now currently stuck paying two car notes.

The car dealer provided written and verbal quotes that a car purchase was going to be ~$29000 total. After I put down $1000 refundable deposit, they then raised the total purchase to ~$35000. When I asked to cancel the transaction, they withheld my drivers license and debit card and tried to bully me into completing the purchase.I left the dealership and have since needed to cancel my debit card due to the fraudulent charges. They also submitted 7 credit inquiries which has lowered my credit score for a bank loan I didn;t want or need.

The sales man deliberately withheld a defect on a feature of the care (key fob), it's keyless entry, which was a selling point for me. The key fob is defective. Each time *****, the salesman showed the car he made sure doors were unlocked. The March 25, 2023 I went to pick up the ************ documents I could not open car with key fob. I told *****. He went in car said it was just the ************* tried to get it to work. I read the lemon law which states I have to allow them to fix it. They gave me an appt for March 31 (6 days later) (windows also did not work correctly so work order was for ************* fob). We waited in waiting area. Service man came out told ** fixed the window but not key fob. Service man directed ** to go to ****** as they had no knowledge on fixing key fob. We were given appt at ************************* for April 5th We were told by ****** it will cost "alot of money" for parts & labor., & was told they will court Mitsubishi & explain issue, We called *************** **** gave ** run around & finally had ** bring car April 20th held the car until May 3rd & basically said could not fix & it's our problem. I have been texting salesperson & called asking for manager & no one calling back. I was deceived and lied to and ***** covered the fact the key fob was defective & now refuses to fix it. I want to return the car & get money back but am getting the run around while clock is ticking at the opportunity to return car.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by South Shore Mitsubishi regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] They agreed to fix the defective feature that existed at time I purchased the vehicle.  I am scheduled to drop off the vehicle Monday June 5th. The "New" manager had no idea when the problem may be fixed & simply said it could take a day or weeks which means I will be without my car once again due to their negligence.  I still do not have a definitive outcome to report to you & urge BBB to keep my complaint open until the problem has reached its end.  I thank you in advance for your assistance in the emotional, stressing issue.

Jan 10th, 2023 bought used 2021 dodge charger. Placed 20k down financed the remainder. Month later started noticing damage on the body which became progressively worse as time went on. Bought it to a body shop rough estimate of 20k in repairs were needed. Dealership isnt taking responsibility for the vehicle. Has a clean car facts sold the car knowing these damages exist because there willing to buy it back at $17,000 plus clear finance where Id loose 3k plus the one payment I made of $600 due to taxes was there reasoning. No one has even took the time to look at the vehicle or the damages to it. asked for the owner they keep using the finance manager as a middle man between us. Not happy with the whole situation and the whole out come there trying to give us.
