I reached out to a company who partnered with Simpleswipe and National Bankcard to provide merchants with a way to take credit/debit cards with a low fee in June of 2023 . This fee was suppose to be 10$ a month plus .25% debit card, ****% credit card and ****% ***************** I was told I can choose to pay the fee's from the sales I made or I could push those fees onto my customers. I choose to pay the % frees. However, from July 2023 till Oct 2023 the fees ranged from 12$ to 48.95$ for the month before and I didn't pay them too much attention until Dec 3rd 2023 when I looked at my back and realized a 147.95$ charge came out for Nov fees. I haven't received the statement yet as it doesn't come out until Dec 5th, but this charge is for the month of Nov. I gained access for my National Bankcard iaccess and took a look at the statements, printing them out so I could see everything laid out, comparing everything to my bank statements as well. I should not that I never used the card reader in June, Oct or Nov. As I looked over the statements starting from June I noticed addition charges that became more every month. It started with MC Location Fee, statement fee, and internet access in June. In July batch reader and min discount was added, jumping the total for the month of July amount to 40.39$. By the month of August, they remained the same but the min discount increased price making the total for the month 41.41$. Now come the month of Sep, the last month I used the card reader, they added addition fees of 9.95$ to the statements, making the total for Sep 51.66$. For the month of Oct I did not use the card reader so I wasn't charged for any card usages, but still had all these MISC charges totaling 48.95$ for that month. For Nov, though I don't have the statement from access, 147.95$ was taken from my account. So since June to Nov, I was only suppose to pay 76.63$. 60$ for the 6 months, and 16.63$ for the % fees applied to the cards.

When I signed up for services, they told me I was only going to be charged $10 a month. After reviewing statements for the past year I see that WAY more than that was taken out monthly. Anywhere between $24 - $132.95 a month. Looking back on my bank records. I see that they have charged me $296.85.

    Business response

    10/10/2023

?BBB I am seeking to file an official complaint about a company called National Bank Card - **************************************************************************** Tel: ************** Fax: **************. They advertise "No Credit Card Fees to Merchants" yet when a business applies, they charge fees and claim that they made a mistake in the application or that the "underwriters" did not approve the business for the No Fees account.Their method of deceiving people into applying and signing up for their service is unethical, underhanded, and deceitful. They are advertising falsely to gain more customers. Please start looking into this company as I am sure there are other businesses out there that are being misled by this tactic.

We made a mistake during the sign up process with this merchant. We closed the two accounts that were setup at the incorrect processor and refunded all fees associated with the two accounts. We then setup an account with the correct processor. We apologize for any inconvenience our mistake caused this merchant.

I applied for and was approved for a device to allow me to accept credit card payments in a business i am trying to build. I was told when i applied for and was approved that there would be no fees against me unless i made sells. I have not yet made any sells yet i have been charged $34.00 by BANKCARD MTOT DISC for the use of this credit card reader, which i will add, i have not even used. I very clearly remember asking the Accounts Rep if i would be charged a monthly fee for this device and she told me "No" that a monthly fee is only charged, and would be included in the price charged to the buyer, when a sell is made. I have not made any sells. at all. Yet i am being charged this fee. I am a person that if i know i can expect a fee to be taken from my account i go ahead and plan for it. National Bankcard never even sent me an email or text alerting me to this charge they just took it out of my personal bank account without any permission. Now they are going to try to charge me $250.00 for a device i have never had a reason to use because as I have said repeatedly, i have not made a sell. My business is still in the making inventory stage. I feel that National Bankcard misrepresented themselves. I expect a full refund and for them to accept this machine back without the restocking fee they are going to expect and to have them cancel this agreement as it was issued under false pretenses.. I have reached out to National Bankcard but i don't expect an answer from them anytime soon.

This business is giving me a runaround in releasing my money. They are holding my funds due to their company policy. They have asked me to satisfy their requirements which I have done. But they are still refusing to release the hold.

    Business response

This merchant went over their high ticket in August and their account was placed on hold on 8/21 and bank statement were requested from the merchant to release the funds on hold. On 8/24 the merchant requested to have their account closed. On 09/02 Paysafe received a chargeback for the funds that were on hold for $3120 and paid the chargeback. Paying the chargeback offset the amount of funds on hold.

I was quoted a ******** Services credit card processing for $5/month, when I started the application they slipped in new rates of $10/month. I opened my account on 6.18.22, they then proceeded to charge me a month fee of $12/month which was taken from my bank account on 7.1.22. I then decided to close my account and returned the equipment on 8.8.22 and I closed that bank account associated with that account. They are now sending me a invoice for $24. I called customer service and they said this is the monthly fee. I do not feel I am responsible for paying this $24. When I agreed to use this company; they quoted $5/month with one free reader. As I had their equipment from 6.18.22 to 8.08.22, I feel the $12 I paid should cover me. I do not know how they are allowed to change the terms. Once I completed the online application under the terms they offered; they never sent me a copy of the contract or completed application. I feel this company is trying to take advantage of small businesses with their hidden pricing and failure to show proper documentation to spell out the increased charges to their merchant services agreement. I want the $24 fees they are pursuing to be wiped away and my account permanently closed. Account no. is on the collection letter attached.

This company charged my personal bank account in fraudulent terms. They charged me for a credit card reader and credit card reader services however they records on file that these items were never used or even issued to me for my use. I received roughly $2,400 in fees for this. I'm asking them to send me a full refund for all the money that was stolen from me. They have contracts that claim I signed them when I don't recall signing any such contracts not filling these contracts out personally digitally as claimed by them. they never sent me any such reader that they claim the fees are for, they never even sent anything to me to my knowledge. I told them the charges on my side say DISC MTOT and look to be from my DISCOVER credit card auto pay. One of several discover accounts I had. These charges were theft to me out of my personal account. Nothing was used from them and no systems tools or devices were ever received by me to be able to use such services. I'm seeking full reimbursement from this company and they're clear theft. This company is stealing from me. They are required here to get banks approval to do such business transactions in which this was my personal account. I have duped, hoaxed or schemed by them. They did not have approval by myself or my bank to make these rather ridiculously expensive transactions to my account as they clearly have noted on they're end. I asked them to send me voice recording of the phone calls that took place and they couldn't even do that. I told ****** (supposed manager that I would love to hear these conversations that took place) but of course they couldn't even prove that. If they show you account records there not one transaction that was Ever used through they're supposed service proving even further that I knew nothing about this. As a consumer I need to be made whole a $2400 loss for absolutely nothing is defined as theft! I told the manager of company that when I looked up the definition of the fee on my account...

My company is Mobile Truck Repair LLC. On 6/30/2022 I noticed a pending debit against my business checking account from Bankcard. I logged on to my account online and could find no trace of an amount matching $428.32 for a withdrawal. In fact there are no withdrawals at all ever for my business checking account. Ive submitted multiple service requests that seem to disappear. Ive called customer service and they were completely dumbfounded and had no explanation other then it will likely not post. However it has posted a debit and is no longer pending. Still no record of why and no explanation. All the fees for services come off the top before any money is deposited into my account. I am guessing it was fraud and the company has suffered a security breech. I need the money refunded to my checking account but more importantly an explanation on what is going on. I am hoping to also get this information to you asap so it does not happen to someone else
