I recently found out they have down Im at fault for numerous accidents I wasnt at fault for. One of the accidents, I reached out to them a few years ago for this same issue. They were supposed to change it but never did. My car insurance costs an arm and a leg now and this is ridiculousBusiness response

I called them back and there was a very long hold time, so hung up. Communication is probably easier this way. A month or so I sent in a copy of my license that they requested, still nothing backIn order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team.
For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer.? We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.
If the consumer does not agree with the BBB website response he or she can then reject the case on the BBB website; however, it keeps the consumers data safe.??
And to reiterate, a separate letter is sent to the consumer with the specific details of the resolution via mail.Initial Complaint

LexisNexis is a DataBroker that does not verify the information they sell. The biggest pain in the a** to contest a false report which ends up costing Us, the Consumers more for the products we inevitably have to have - such as car insurance. I recently shopped my car insurance. Found a descent rate, then clicked BUY policy.....Sorry, the rate has gone up because you filed a claim on your comprehensive car insurance 6 months ago.Ummmm, NO I DID NOT!Long Story Short, I hope this never happens to you - because the resolution is a PAIN in the Butt!At Least with Equifax and Transunion they have to allow you online automatic freeze of your account.But NOT friggin LexisNexis....No, jump thru hoops, then we will mail you a claim # in 3-6 weeks.Complete ***!How this is allowed is beyond me, but if anyone knows how to shut them down, let's get it started. This is a modern day Strong Arm Robbery!Business response

The most recent car accident on my report is falsely placed at fault. State farm has not reported an at fault accident and this is increasing my insurance rates by over $100 a month with other insurance companies. Please have this corrected and removed from my record.Business response

The bankruptcy information in my credit file is a result of unauthorized use of my social security number and other personal details. These accounts do not relate to anything I authorized or participated in. Additionally, the information on my report does not comply with Metro 2 credit reporting standards. I have evidence to support my case. Again,I did not consent to the sharing of my non-public information, and the reporting of these items is neither fair nor equitable to me as a consumer.The following legal provisions outline my rights as a consumer:15 USC 1681 Section 602 A: Establishes my right to privacy.15 USC 1681 Section 604 A Section 2: Prohibits a consumer reporting agency from furnishing an account without my written instructions.15 U.S.C 1681c(a)(5): States that no consumer reporting agency may include any adverse information that is outdated.15 U.S.C. 1681s-2(A)(1): Prohibits furnishing information known to be inaccurate.Business response

I recently disputed a Bankruptcy with LexisNexis asking them to verify a Bankruptcy they are reporting on my credit report. The bankruptcy is reporting the wrong case number, the status of bankruptcy and several other inaccuracies. Lexis Nexis wrote back and said they validated the account thru Pacer so I wrote letter to the court and ask them do they report information to LexisNexis and they wrote back stating they do not share information with the credit bureau so how did LexisNexis obtain my information the is violation of my privacy according to the law US151681 B Permissible purpose also Transuion removed the bankruptcy from my report due to all the inaccuracies if the courts dont share information how did LexisNexis verify the bankruptcyBusiness response

They have wrong info about me. Tried to call and correct, one they Don't talk Britsh, second their phone is broken. Third they collect info and they close the phone. There are a lot of things to be fixed. I'm waiting a call from them to fix the problem.Business response

When buying a new car I called State Farm insurance for a quote. They notified me that an accident had popped up on my Lexis Nexis consumer report and that I had been found at fault. This was wrong, the name on the report is completely different from mine and shes in another state as well. There is a different policy holder as well. I have never been in an accident and my driving record proves this. I have called Lexis nexis multiple times as well as submitted disputes but received letters stating they cant find the Data yet my insurance provided me with the Copy of the report and it shows the accident in there.Business response

There is/was a bankruptcy listed on my *******, ********, and ********** consumer credit reports. I had no knowledge of the bankruptcy and disputed it with the credit reporting agencies. The bankruptcy came back as "verified" and the credit reporting agencies listed LexisNexis as the provider of the verification. On September 30, 2024, I sent a letter to LexisNexis *************** (copy included) requesting an investigation. I received a letter from LexisNexis dated October 19, 2024 (copy included). LexisNexis never sent a followup letter with the results of the investigation. The disputed bankruptcy is still being reported on my consumer credit file. LexisNexis violated my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) when they failed to investigate my dispute within 30 days and send me the outcome of their investigation (FCRA 623). Additionally, they willfully violated my rights under **** 623(a)(3) when they furnished the information to the consumer reporting agencies without notice that the information is disputed by the consumer.Business response
