January 28, 2025 was the transaction date. I tried to get a refund immediately after I subscribed on January 28, 2024. They would not issue a refund. I certainly did not sign up for auto-renew that just occurred on 1-28-25. I’ve have called twice today 2-3-25 and was told it is not there policy to ever give a refund. I don’t know of any business I’ve dealt with that has that policy. Please help me get this refund!

I no longer use American Greetings online card services. I was charged a renewal without prior notice. When I received the renewal email saying that I had been charged for another yr., I emailed the company twice with no response. I called on Dec 4, 2024 to let them know that I did not want to renew and was told sorry per our rules you have already been charged and we cannot refund your money. Terrible customer service. The majority of businesses at least send out a reminder - which he says that they do/did and its not his fault if it went to junk or spam. I have zero emails from American Greetings about a renewal notice. Weird how all of the other emails from American Greetings went to my inbox..... terrible customer service. Do not recommend using a company with such terrible values.

I signed up for what was advertised to be a 7-day "Free Trial" during which my credit card would NOT be charged. I did have to supply a credit card in order to sign up for the "Free Trial". I signed up and received an email telling me that my "Free Trial" had begun and, again, that my credit card would NOT be charged until the "Free Trial" ended - unless I cancelled before the end of the "Free Trial." I sent out 3 online greeting cards the same hour that my "Free Trial" began. The next day, I saw on my credit card site that I had been charged $6.99 for a month's membership. I tried calling the American Greetings customer service number, but it said that their offices were closed for a "computer upgrade." I completed a "Contact Us" message on the American Greetings website, asking why I was being charged and requesting a refund. I got NO answer from them for 3 days. Then, they said that they could not find "my account." I cut and pasted the email language that had been sent to me confirming my "Free Trial" again asking for a refund. I received no reply. Then, a day AFTER the "Free Trial" was to end, I got an email saying that while I was sending my first greeting card, "on the third of four screens" I had clicked a button that said "start my membership now." This appears to be an obvious "bait and switch" tactic, if not outright false advertising. I was attempting to send my first e-card on a new site and did not know that what I was clicking would END my "Free Trial" and begin a regular membership. After the "Free Trial" end date, I received an email saying that their policy is NOT to refund memberships. Again, it seems quite unethical, if not illegal, to charge for a service that was NOT wanted or received, when something "Free" had been advertised. It may only be a $6.99 charge, but I believe that it is a matter of principle that people not be led into traps like this. I seek a refund of my $6.99. Thank you!

They automatically renew memberships, but refuse to refund memberships for unused portions of the plan, like say if you didn’t want the service. I asked days after an annual renewal to cancel. They didn’t return unearned memberships and have it in fine print that this is what they do. I think it’s bad business practice and somewhat theft.

I cancelled my annual subscription auto-renewal on 5/15/2024 once I received notice from my Citi credit card charge of $29.99 that occurred on 5/14/2024. During that 24 hours I did not use the service. Common courtesy dictates that ************.com would refund the $29.99 charge, but they refused to do so. Additionally, I had been auto-charged $29.99 six times since 2019 even though the auto-renew feature on my account was "Expired" (see attached screenshots). Essentially, I had been charged $180 over six years and only used the service one time to send one eCard (electronic greeting card).
