This company has called and texted numerous times. I've asked twice to stop the calls. They claim I have a 2021 highlander, which I don't. This is an invasion of my privacy and harassment.Business response

I don't know how they got my number but they call me multiple times a day, every single day! It's nonstop, they leave voicemail but I can't call back to tell them to stop. STOP CALLING ME.Business response

I stopped selling insurance in early 2022. I have told smart financial at least 15 times that I am not an insurance agent so to please stop contacting me. They REFUSE, no matter how many times I ask to placed on their do not call registry. They call me multiple times a day for months on end. Please, for the love of God. Stop calling meBusiness response

This company advertised call-in leads and in the onboarding process I was told that all of the leads I would get were people who were dialing in to smart financial on their own terms because they wanted a quote for insurance. I made sure to reiterate this several times in the onboarding call and was assured that every person I would talk to would be dialing the number and calling themselves. Apparently the onboarding call was recorded so this can be checked. All of the calls I received were from people who did not call in but rather were called by someone else who works for Smartfinancial then transferred over to me. This is a completely different lead when it comes to the intent of the potential customer (which my account manager agreed with). When my first lead told me they received a phone call from someone on my end and didn’t really want to be on the phone, I was shocked and brought this up to my account manager. My account manager acted dumbfounded and gave me a credit for that call as if it was a weird error on smartfinancials end. I then asked all of the following people who I got on the phone with if they called in and not none of them called in themselves, they all received phone calls from Smartfinancial and were transferred to me. I brought this up to my account manager then he admitted that my account was set for these “transfer leads” rather than “call in”. He then said he’d switch my account to receive “call in” leads and in my next active sessions I did not receive one phone call because no one really calls in. Then without my permission, my account manager decided to spend several hundred of my remaining dollars on random leads that I did not want because he saw my account wasn’t active (I wasn’t receiving any phone calls once I was switched to receive “call in” leads). I emailed him about this and he said he’d call me the next day and never did. I disputed with my bank which failed because I received “service” aka random leads I didn’t want. SCAM.Business response

Filed a BBB complaint with them on 02/15/2024. I was an insurance agent who got completely ripped off by their scam leads and misleading program. I was completely lied to in the onboarding call. We came to an agreement about receiving a partial refund. They never gave me the refund. Over the next couple months I followed up 4 different times with ****** Land and she ignored me a couple times and said shed get back to me a couple times and never did. It ended with her just never responding to me and I forgot about the situation until now. This is a scam of a company and they will blow you up and pull money from your agent account without telling you but when they owe you something they will just keep pushing you off and ignoring you until you forget. *************************. Now I will finally hear back from someone else who is so sorry and they will probably try to put me through the same process.Business response

Nonstop harassment, I pay the money to leave me alone, they continue to harass me, business and personal line. They tell me they’ll stop every time over hundreds of calls from different area codes. They never quit never deliver what they promise as a customer been ripped off multiple times even before they change their name from Contact ability Work with all kinds of different lead vendors. Smart Financial has been calling my number over and over and over and over... clogging up my voice mail and depleting all my prepaid minutes. I've blocked the number, but despite that, my phone is constantly getting barraged with robo-calls. This has been happening for months, and am only now filing a complaint because I have reached my limit. This needs to stop!Business response

I requested a quot on health insurance that got redirected to smart financial and they were given my number. Within 30 seconds of this happening I began receiving dozens of calls. When I asked them not to call, the guy said not until I sign up for a plan. The next person said they would only put me on the do not call list if this individual could text me about a plan instead, and when I said no they said they were gonna release my number to the rest of their people. I have dealt with countless spam calls over the years, like most people, but nothing ever this excessive and straight up disrespectful and rude.Business response
