Our Sales person promised us in addition to water proofing our house they would also seal all gaps so we would not have a pest problem. They carelessly left over 25 problematic gaps for critters to get in. After bringing this to their attention they sent crews out numerous times and essentially fixed nothing. The uploaded file will show the quote from a pest company to fix all these gaps. Keep in mind this is after they sent 3 crews to fix the issue.Customer response

Company is making unwanted sales calls despite repeated requests to stop contacting me and explanations that I don't want to do business with them. My phone number is on the Do Not Call registry and this is a violation of my rights under the Federal Trade Commission's Telemarketing Sales Rule.Business response

On 8/13/2024, I paid EverDry Waterproofing $3,000.00; my remaining bill to pay is $16,850.00. For mold removal in the basement of my home. After EverDry stated they completed their work, mold was still there. When EverDry refused to come back, I hired another contractor to inspect the basement because I still saw the mold in the basement. The new contractor inspected and saw, black mold on basement walls, behind paneling, and the Tuckpoints were not done properly under steps and outside, also under the deck. EverDry promise to deduct $1400 from bill and did not because my pre-purchase of an E-Z Breathe dehumidifier in 2020 and left another in the basement. Our production manager met with the customer on 10/3/24 and between the two of them they have come to an understanding. The main discrepancy was about Everdry performing a service that we do not provide to customers in our contract. As a company we have provided the customer with a few things to compensate for the complications during the job and have made them aware that we are always here to continue to provide service and adjustments if necessary to the waterproofing system we installed. We very much appreciate the business and hope to have a stronger relationship in the future and we apologize for any inconvenience or confusion that may have occurred.Initial Complaint

I am filing this complaint on behalf of my mother, Wendy Morgan. She was approached by a door-to-door salesman on 9/17/24 and was offered a free estimate to look at her house foundation. Once inside her home, the salesman "found an issue" and was extremely pushy to have my mom sign a contract to have work done at the price of $25,000. My mom is a senior citizen and lives alone. The salesman scared my mom into thinking that her home was unsafe and she was scared to even live in the house until the work was done. She has only lived in the house for three years. When she bought the home, we had a very thorough licensed inspector inspect the house. There were no foundation issues noted at the time of purchase. The salesman told her that she could finance the $25,000 through a bank that the salesman provided. The salesman sat in her living room while she called the bank and got the financing. The salesman said, "I can knock off $5,000 if you do this now. But if I leave, the price goes back up to $25,000." My mother was not allowed to contact her closest family members to discuss the job. Again, a VERY pushy salesman! This is $25,000 that my single mother cannot afford as a senior on social security. Everdry showed up the next day on 9/18/24 and offered her $200 if they could start a day early. She accepted. I went to check on the house later that night to find a trench dug around the perimeter of the house along with an approximately 4'x4'x4' hole in the middle of her back yard. There were no flags nor any paint from Miss Dig as they did all of their digging without clearing a Miss Dig ticket!!! This resulted in a severed communication line and danger around the gas meter. This company does not follow the right processes, preys on senior citizens and scares them into believing things that are not true! My mom is now, unfortunately in a contract with a crooked company. Thinking I should do something about for possibility of wet basement in my older home. Contacted Ever Dry and met with Salesman in my home the first part of May, 2024. Was given cost, was told work could commence soon and be finished in 4 days once started. Told them they would need to be on site by 8a daily because I could not have any one there and had to work. Was promised this would work. Felt pressured into signing, but did. Work started on May 15, no foreman present, they left early. Nobody on May 16, house unlocked all day for them. May 17, had to leave home open again, but they eventually showed up. Contacted office about these issues. Told me they would not be back until plumber came on 5/28(maybe) and then inspector on 5/31(maybe) and both would require someone at home. I work!!!!! My basement is open to storm run off and more damage.Business response

We recently purchased a home for which the prior owners had purchased and maintained an EveryDry service agreement. They have a contract which states the service agreement renews for $35 annually and is transferrable to the new owner. EverDry mailed us a card and a letter stating that we owe them $75 annually to renew our service agreement. I called the previous owner and they confirmed that it was always $35. So I called EverDry to inform them that the bill they sent me was incorrect only to be told that the contract with the original buyer doesn't apply and that I have to renew the service agreement under their current price, which is 75 per year. But that is decidedly NOT what the contract says, it says it is 35 per year and transferrable. ******* said well the contract doesn't say that you get to keep that price. Well actually ******* it does, because when a contract doesn't explicitly state that something can change, you have to go with what the contract says. That is literally what contracts are for. So I consulted legal advice to double check my interpretation of the contract and confirmed that my interpretation was perfectly reasonable. ******* said she would "send it up the flagpole" and would "give me a call back" well that was two days ago and not a peep from her. But she basically told me there is no way they are giving me the old rate without legal action. Which is absolutely ridiculous for all of $40. And of course the service fee is due this month so I'm 99% sure they are just trying to wait me out so the whole contract and service agreement will be void. I'm not bent out of shape over $40 a year, it's not about the money, it's about trying to pull a fast one on new customers and bullying them into paying something that was never agreed upon under threat of having their service cancelled. They said "they are looking into it" which is the same thing I was told when they ******* called me back on April 5th the day after I submitted the complaint. Now 10 days later they are still "looking into it." How hard is it to read a contract?

Was told there would be white panels on the basement walls to give the basement a finished look by ***** who sold us the job. It was factored as part of the charge and we was charged for something that did not get done. I was also put under the impression that the entire basement floor was going to be replaced at the time of the price agreement and they only did along the wall. Job done is only worth half of the amount charged.Business response

Attempting to get a breakdown of what was all done to my basement in June (cost) . I want to know what sump costs , dehumidifier and labor costs in writing . I got no manual on the dehumidifier or sump pump. Sump pump alarm goes off frequently - system is fine . Was told that the finance company would supply this via phone . Consumer states company visited his home on Friday evening October 6 and that he signed some paperwork but did not receive a copy of the contract or the cancellation policy. Consumer called the business today Monday October 9, to cancel and was told that he could not cancel. Consumer was advised that he does have the right to cancel because it has not been 3 business days and today would not count as the *********** is closed due to Columbus Day. He will also be sending a cancellation notice tomorrow by certified mail.Business response

This complaint has no merit as this was never an actual new order, only a proposed quote as the homeowner never gave a deposit.

My basement continues to leak after many attempts of them caulking the cracks. I still haven't received my whole home dehumidifier. We paid 22 grand for them to make my basements waterproof. There's still alot of mold growing and my kids are continuing to get sick from the mold. Sept 11 2022 is when they started working on it and a month later they said it's finished. They destroyed my washers water line, the croc that the sump pump is in isn't even sitting straight. They did a horrible job and it's not worth 22 grand.Business response
