I agreed to cosign a car for my daughter from Midtown Kia in Tulsa. Even though I had just agreed to cosign, they listed me as primary buyer because I have better credit. They told us the loan was approved and gave my daughter possession of the car 2 months ago. A couple of weeks later they said the loan company changed their mind about financing because she had a voluntary repossession previously (which she had told the salesperson, ******* ******, about in the beginning.) Over the past 2 months Kia has done numerous hits on my credit (without my knowledge) trying to get financing. Last week they found a loan *** to finance but told her she needed to put $1000 down, which she did on 10/18/24. When they sent me a copy of the contract to sign I saw we had been charged $2500 for an extended warranty. They had also charged for GAP coverage. I called and told them we did not want the extended warranty (this is a new car with manufacturer's warranty). Their finance ***** told me that if we did not agree to the ext. warranty that we would have to pay an additional $3000 down. I did some research on this and found that a car dealer cannot legally require a larger down payment if you refuse the ext. warranty; it is considered a deceptive sales tactic and is against consumer protection laws to tie financing terms to optional add-ons. This dealership is very deceptive and will add on whatever they think they can get away with to make more money off you. I filed a report with the *** and encourage anyone who considers buying from them to read your contract very carefully.

I’m hoping I can give this place zero stars. They don’t even deserve to be open, much less be rated. They took 3 months to get the initial paperwork correct, and told us they made the first payment for us. They did not, and by the time we found out, we were a month and a half behind. Trying to get the wheels aligned afterwards was a nightmare, and now it’s in the shop for repairs, only because we paid for the warranty. $40 part, a few hours, but it’s been sitting there for four weeks and we can’t get anyone to answer the phones, call us back, or let us know what’s going on. This place needs to close its doors.

They sold me a money pit and won't return calls. Made promises they had no intentions of keeping, obviously. I've had car less than a year, has been in the shop 3 times and check engine light is on again.

What I know is on June 13th I applied for financing to buy a car from them and here it is August 5th and I have gotten a denial letter from a different finance agency every day since. It's put over 30 inquiries on my credit report. And I didn't get a car! My credit score is almost 700 but no one will approve me now for anything bc of how many inquiries are on my credit report!

Bought brand new 2022 Kia Rio, was not given chance to test drive it, as it had not been gassed yet, was told I would have that option, and that it had the trim package I wanted, S plus technology. At the signing, nothing was explained to me, in the finance office once I signed the digital screen Gus just zipped right through each page, adding my signature. I said hey I need to read that, and was told look lady, we are. Putting you in a brand new car with no money down, it's late and I want to go home. After signing, I was told I could not take my new car home. It has been sent to be tinted, I got a loaner. Next morning I return to pick up my car and I say to the salesman I never did get to test drive this car. He said, you signed already it's yours. I said what if I get 5 miles down the road and I hate the way this thing drives he said well you can just call up here and talk to my sales manager. As soon as I got on the highway I felt like I was being blown like a leaf. Sitting in the car I had one hip all the way up against the center console and one hip all the way up against the door. It was very uncomfortable, I called the dealership told the reception is who I was and asked to speak to the sales manager, I asked if I should return the car right then he said why? It won't do you any good we don't have a return policy. I informed him I had to go to test drive the car I was told I should not sign for it. I read over Kia's return policy on the manufacturer's website, emailed the dealership with intent to return in the next day I took the car back up there. It took me into the finance manager's office and laughed at me. The sales manager said I had not called him immediately that he had not been there that day and have not spoken to me. I informed them while I spoke to someone my sales agent remembered speaking to me both before I left and when I called. They toyed with me for days before telling me I was beat basically. Midtown Kia, customer service is dead there
