Purchased GiftYa $100 for family. Please know that the recipient DOES NOT have to provide their personal banking information of they dont want to. They have options and card linking is only one of the many redemption options.

"This is ********, from Giftya Support team. I tried calling but you were not available. I understand that your recipient is having trouble redeeming their Amazon eGift card. To help me troubleshoot this issue, could you please provide more details about the problem they are encountering? Are they receiving any error messages? If so, please share the exact message they are seeing. Is the redemption link not working at all?
In the meantime, they may use this link to access the Amazon egift. ********************************************************** . They just need to enter their mobile ************** to receive the *** code and sign in. Once signed in, all they need to do is select the "use as an egift" option, and they will receive the Amazon electronic gift card."

I had a $50 gift card through GiftYa that was ordered without my knowledge and I contacted the business regarding this but they refused to refund the order, even though I cannot access the funds and they acknowledged the full value still remains. My credit card company told me to dispute due to other fraudulent charges during the same timeframe. I did so but they closed the dispute. I then noticed that the funds of the card have been removed entirely, and I have not received a refund. I contacted GiftYa to which I received a response that they need to finish the dispute, even though that process had already concluded between GiftYa and the credit card company. I do not want my funds reinstated, I want the order refunded. I cannot access these funds and this does not workBusiness response

Hi *******. The team that handles disputes and refunds has further reviewed this case. It appears the GiftYa was exchanged for a physical card but due to a "inquiry" being filed the card was de-valued and the order is unable to be refunded.
They can see that your bank initiated an "inquiry" which was then closed out (as you mentioned). This is different to a chargeback, and our compliance team have recommend that you are needing to file a formal chargeback with your financial institution which we will receive and respond to accordingly via the bank.Initial Complaint

Thank you for reaching out and apologies that your recipient has an issue with this card. We show that per our correspondence with you on 01/16/25. We reviewed this and show that this card was accessed and redeemed for an E-gift. The card was issued with the full $75 available. Once the card is issued we unfortunately do not have access to card transactions to see its use. Please check with **** customer support to view the card transaction history.

December 6, 2024 date of transaction. $16.68 was paid to ******* Restaurant in ******, ** with a preregistered MasterCard. GiftYa was supposed to credit this amount to my MasterCard per their terms and conditions within 3-5 business days. I've tried to contact them by phone - no human there. By chat - only a BOT, not a human. No way to resolve the issue. Was originally a $100 gift card received from a family member. In order to use the gift, GiftYa requires you to enter the ** you plan to use to make payments to the business tied to the card. Then each time you use it there, Giftya says they'll credit your ** that amount. It worked only the first time I used it. The second time is the time in question with no credit received. In my attempts to get the $16.68 credited, their website sent me the remaining amount of the gift card, which is great (even though we had not spent it at the restaurant it was supposed to be for). But the $16.68 which was paid on December 6 has NOT been received and there is apparently NO remedy to receive it.This is a pure SCAM!Business response

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.There is no refund to my MasterCard on any date from any sender since the 12/6/24 payment made at ******* for $16.68 despite GiftYa saying there is. I have responded to their email referenced in their response to BBB with that information, with no follow up reply from the business.
I realize this isnt a large sum of money, but it is my money, gifted to me, and is owed to me by this business!!

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]GiftYa demanded I share my Master Card statement with them during certain dates. I sent them two screenshots per their request. They then responded stating they would credit me the outstanding $16.68, but that they couldnt credit my original MC used and would need to click a link and provide either another card or request a prepaid ***** I did the latter. In todays mail, I received a prepaid **** for $6.68 NOT the $16.68 they owe me and promised me. Seriously?? I have sent them notification, but ask that you do as well. Again, it is not the amount. It is the principle!!

I was sent a Target gift card for my childs birthday via GiftYa on ********. On 12/26/24, I tried to activate this giftcard, it repeatedly failed, and my attempt to reach out to customer service left me in a failed AI loop with no way to get to a real person. The only way to use the value was to either input my personal credit card or to request a Zelle payment. this payment has been listed as pending, and included a hefty fee. We reviewed the GiftYa options and you should have had the ability to link a credit or debit card, select and eGift (no fee), regift, select a physical **** card (no fee), switch merchants and send to Zelle. We do see the ***** transfer as successful on 12/26 8.05pm EST. Unfortunately we do not see any support requests so it is challenging now to see why a card could not be activated. The response simply dismisses me. I tried several times to contact them, as outlined in my complaint, but could not. The site did not allow me to use the giftcard sent, and my only option was to pull the payment into ***** for a $4.50 fee. Given that I had literally no other option to redeem this giftcard, and the only response Ive received from this company is from the BBB (phone line seems chronically unanswered), I find this fee extortionary.

I bought a door dash gift card through giftya not realizing it wasnt door dash. When I googled door dash gift card it appeared as the top choice, which seems weird that it wouldnt actually be the real door dash gift card option. I dont think it said anything like all sales are final, though I could be wrong. I realized once I got the confirmation immediately after and tried to cancel, but it wont let me. It seems like deceptive advertising and I want my money back. The chat function also said someone would call me back to talk and so far they have not (it has been longer than the ***** minute time frame they said). When I tried to call them, I could not get in touch with a real person. The whole experience feels sketchy.Business response
