I am an assoc. manager submitting this complaint on behalf of HOA. On 4/30/24 sales rep Nick W**** sent a proposal of $9399 to pour concrete parking pad & removal/repour of a front patio. Removal of patio was contingent on removal date of 6/6 & repoured on 6/10 due to work needed at foundation of home. Parking pad was to be poured 6/10, same as patio. The HOA paid 50% deposit of $4669.50 on 5/9. I received confirmation email on 5/9 that patio removal scheduled for 6/6 & pouring scheduled 6/10. Also, that a regional manager would contact me 24 hours prior to job start w/ details. 6/6 arrived - nobody called, nobody would respond to texts or phone calls & they were a no show. Install week came - no response & no show again. The following week Nick told me that project manager Eric B***** had been fired which is why no one showed on scheduled dates. New PM Nate assured a crew would be out 6/12 to remove patio. 6/12, 5:30 1 individual arrived w/ a jack hammer & told owner he was pulled off another job unexpectedly & knew nothing. Told owner he would need large equipment to remove patio & crew of men & that proposal provided by Nick would not cover their fee. In 1.5hr he jack hammered the top 1in of patio off just enough to become a liability. I was told they thought patio was structural & can't be removed. I req a new proposal for both jobs since said both jobs would cost more $. 6/20 I received proposal for $11800 but amount of material required did not change. I requested material amount to be revised yet never received. Nate suggested cancelling the order w/ a deposit refund which I agreed to 6/25. He said he was checking w accounting & would provide date deposit would be released. This went on for 2wks. Nate is no longer with co. another PM has taken over his cell & would not provide his name. He too said he would provide date for deposit return. Nothing. They have since disconnected the phone # to my only point of contact. Nobody answers office phone. SCAM!

Originally entered into a contract with Madewell Concrete which is now Concrete Driveway Co. to install driveway aprons and a walkway. Consisting of the Platinum Package which included a 10 Year Warranty. Contacted company in October 2023 to inform them that control joints were not installed at Aprons causing cracks and chipping of concrete. A representative finally came out on May 20, 2024 to see the issue and agreed, there should have been a control joint installed at Aprons where new concrete met old concrete. However, the Company refused to cut in joints. I had to hire another company to cut in control joints, costing me $500 out of pocket. I would like to be reimbursed for monies paid for something that should have been done by Madewell / Concrete Driveway Co. Total amount paid to Madewell was $5,050. I am kindly requesting $500.

On March 28 2024 I was sent over a quote and accepted a job for the company to pour a concrete slab in my backyard with rebar reenforcement as well as a slab 8x30 foot to extend out my lanai. On June 3rd they sent out a sub contractor to start the work. I was already upset with the company as they did not supply the sub contractor with diagram or instructions on the rebar and thickened footer. To make matters worse the company sales person did not take proper measurements and sent the sub contractor with a piece of machinery that would not fit through the entrance of my backyard gate. At this point I contacted the project manager for the company and told him I am done to have the crew clean up and refund my money. If you cannot do a job right then I do not want you to do work for me. It took the company to send out the contractor 3 days later to clean up the mess. I contacted him again in regards to the refund and he said it has to be approved by the higher ups in the company and the accounting department. To this day I have no refund and they refuse to answer calls from me or messages I send. I contacted my financial institution to report the incident and will not honor this company and asked for full reimbursement. No answer from anyone in the company. It is a scam.

We hired the Concrete Driveway Co to replace our driveway. We paid a half down payment of 7764.14 on April 14, 2024. On April 22nd a crew of three ******* speaking men arrived to begin work. There was supposed to be a regional manager in contact with us and a service tech on site and neither happened. Of the three men, only one could speak ****** ******** I was concerned that the specific details would not be adhered to because of the communication issue and no one else was in contact with us who was supposed to be. The crew had a printout of the layout but did not have all the details or hardware instructions previously supplied. I tried contacting the regional manager and anyone at the company with no luck. We learned that the regional manager quit the Friday before. The crew that did the demo did not have the proper equipment. They were lifting chucks of concrete and breaking them with a hammer. This caused excessive damage to the sidewalks, curbs, plants, and yard. Nothing that we asked for was done correctly per the agreement. The work was also extremely poor-quality work. The concrete is wavy, pitted, and uneven. When immediately trying to contact the company the day the work began, we couldn’t get ahold of anyone. No response until the second day after the pour was complete. Then to add to it, they tried to add additional cost by stating that the township inspector said that the apron had to be poured thicker. I have a statement from him in writing and he said nothing such. The company would not remove that charge either. The salesguy came back and was in disbelief of how bad the job was and agreed that it was nothing like what we agreed on. I’ve tried to give them the opportunity to remove and replace the driveway with a better crew but they have refused. This is a scamming company who has done this to countless other people. I would like for them to return our down payment so we can use it to replace the work that they did that was not what we agreed on.

Date of Transaction: 4/29/14 Amount paid: $5,987.00 Will C****** told me my sidewalk would look like *** *********** at *** ******** *** My sidewalk does not look like hers. It has a Picture Frame Edging that I did not ask for. They have not tried to resolve the problem Job # *********** There was no advertising involved. In addition to the incorrect sidewalk, they scraped ground from our side & back yard to build a foundation for a patio extension. And although I would like them to replace the sidewalk or refund my money I am not asking them to replace the patio extension. I am attaching text and voice mail messages that I have typed up just in case I loose them from my phone as well as pictures of the installed sidewalk, our current sidewalk on the other side and my neighbors sidewalk. All I wanted was a plain old sidewalk to match my the existing sidewalk on the other side of the driveway. Why would I want something different than what I already have?

10/31/23 gave initial quote of $13,550 for concrete work. We declined. 11/16/23 Jaime R******** reached out with a new quote of $7159. We agreed to the amount. 11/29/23 paid $4000 down payment via ********** and a contract was signed for the quote. 12/4/23 Jaime R******** texted stating that he misquoted us and the job would be $13,000. We declined and advised that we wanted a refund of our down payment. 12/5/23 and 12/8/23 my husband texted about the refund. Also on the 8th he texted a man named "Austin" in accounting who assured us that he would look into it. 12/8/23 also followed up via email. 12/13/23 followed up again 1/3/24 Jaime R******** advised that we should contact Marshall T***** 1/10/24 wrote email to Jaime R******** and Marshall T***** advising that we would seek legal action if the money was not refunded. Mr. R******** wrote back to email advising, again, to contact Marshall T*****, who had been included in the email. 3/21/24 Tried one last time to contact Austin via phone and text but there was no answer. Phone number for Austin: ************. Upon researching the business on ****** reviews, it appears as if the company was so poorly reviewed under the name "********" that they had to rebrand. The reviews show this action to be part of a larger pattern of behavior by this company.

I had a concrete company come out and pour my driveway. They did not pour the concrete correctly and to the specifications stated in the contract. With several attempts to try to resolve this issue. The company was not very competent and basically told me it was done right without stepping foot on the job site.

We had the Driveway Concrete company come to our home for an estimate, which took several time because the estimator per the office manager did not complete correctly. Well we finally got the estimate correct, signed the contract, and paid 4,319 as a down to start the job. On Nov 13 when the construction manager came to review the job to start that week later, he said he could not do it per the estimate and contract and that it would cost much more that was in the contract. The office manager offered to cancel with a full refund as no materials had been ordered and it was their fault. So we canceled and the office manager said that I would get a full refund, but 2 months into the process nothing. I called the main offices and they said it was in process, but nothing came. I called several more times and they said an office person would call and let us know. Nothing. Next thing, they would no longer take my calls. As of today 5 months later, nothing. This is criminal to take someones money, not do a job, and not refund it. It would be great if they would have some integrity and send me my refund.
