    They're charging fees on things but offer nothing. The customer service is *****. ************************** and most is from a script. I never got a bill pay check I sent to myself to try, took forever to get my card. Because of that, they marked MY ACCT fraud. I want my fees back at the very least and I'm working diligently to get all funds outta my acct asap and closing!!! This shouldn't be legal, esp charging an acct. fee that does pretty much nothing. I feel so stuck bc their app offers nothing of help, you HAVE to call in and use 1 which is technically 'fraud' titled but the only way to get to customer service. SHADY.

    In March of this year I purchased 3 $****** prepaid gift cards. The very beginning of April I got 3 more. All were mailed to me. When I tried to use them one had not been activated, $***** of one had been used and two had been totally used. Though customer service was **** after a week they did activate the one card. I started a ticket with them about one of the cards on April 7th. They said not to check back for 10 days. When I checked back they said it was being processed. I called in on 5/6/22 only to be told that the ticket was closed because they did not receive the information. I have the paperwork and the fax confirmation of receipt. They said they would email the dispute department and call back in 2 days. Called back to be told it was closed and they would have to email the dispute department and call back in 2 days. I waited a week. 5/17/22 I called to be told they would have to email and call back in 2 days. I asked to speak to this supervisors manager. She said she would have to email the managers and I would receive a call within 24 hours. I have not. I have 2 more cards I've opened a ticket for. Emailed the documents they requested. They said as of yet they have not received those and to call back in 10 business days. $****** they are giving me the run around for. I would like to get my money back.

    This is an ongoing thing with this card company. I've reached out to them numerous of occasions and let them know I think ****************************** someone intercept my card and steal my money off. I've called to get it sent expressed here it is I've never received that card and they charged me $** for it. When my other card came in the mail it was too late because that money was stolen off again. So I had to take manners in my own hands go to the post service and have them start holding my mail up there so no more mail could be stolen. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ I don't care how they look at it I want my money. I want them to go over cameras footage and get me my money and they can close the account after I receive my money. Or I'll take matters in my own hands and file a lawsuit against them

    Meta Bank has a fraudulent account opened in my name, I have no info on the account except the last 4 of the account number. when I call for assistance, they refuse to let me speak to anyone unless I give them my social security number. They claim to have no fraud department, and every person I have spoken to is absolutely no help

They honestly expect me to provide information that I do not have because the account in question was not opened by me, meaning I do not know the account number nor did I receive a credit or debit card related to the account. The reason I know its MetaBank is that on the fraudulent bank accounts set up at ****, there are transfers to and from an account ending in #**** which the **** fraud department said was a MetaBank account. This is an extremely sketchy situation, especially since MetaBank does not have any way to contact a fraud department, which I am not the only person that has tried. Looking up reviews and other BBB complaints, they are a ****************** who facilitates false accounts and debit cards. It's possible the account used for the **** transfers is under a different name. We recommend contacting **** and attempting to get the full routing number and account number used for the transfers. Another option is to request the trace numbers for the transfers. While the transfers are going to a MetaBank account, the fraud is with ****. Even if the account being used is under a third party's name, we can forward it for closure due to fraudulent activity if you can obtain the account information. Again, we understand the frustration with this, but only having your name and the last 4 digits of the account doesn't help us locate the account when your name doesn't bring up any accounts.

    Metabank sent my funds to the wrong account. Instead of sending them to the correct account they chose to mail a check five days later. 14 days later I still have not received my funds. The customer service department has no clue what they are doing and refused to overnight a check. They also stated multiple times that they have no way to contact their legal department and that they don't have one. Metabank has caused physical and mental harm to myself and my children. I have tried several different outlets to get my funds delivered only to be met with excuses and lies. I would like my funds today as well as a settlement amount to cover the cost of the lost funds and the harm they have caused. My only other option is to retain legal counsel which I have no problem doing at this point.

We do not currently have the account info, so we're unable to continue this through the BBB. If you can provide the 1st 6 digits of your card number, that will at least identify which of our partners your card is with and we will forward your complaint. Also, you can call ************ for direct assistance. This # goes directly to a representative with no automated system. Calling this number will result in a quicker resolution without the back and forth through the BBB or the mail.

    March - May 2022 According to the IRS, Metabank was issued $**** to issue me a debit card for the 3rd economic impact statement. The IRS decreased my tax return because their records indicate Metabank received the payment. I reached out via email and phone, and was unable to enter any of my information, as Metabank claimed that if you don't have an account, you can't speak to a customer service representative. When I attempted to further contact Metabank, I received an email saying the my information did not match an account on Metabank's record, and therefore discontinued communications with me. The IRS insists they can't do anything further unless Metabank contacts them to let them know they don't have an account for me, and Metabank is saying that unless the IRS reaches out, there is nothing further they will do for me.
