These people sold me a car with cracked rims. Since I had the car I had issues with the rims and air pressure leaking. They knew the rims where cracked and didnt give me option about buy the car. The car is a $20,000 dollar car. I have to buy a set a rims for 2 to 3k. To sell a person a car that you really cant drive because your have problems with cracked rims is terrible. They sent the car to wheel works before I bought it so they knew. When they saw the air was still leaking they should have told me. Then the salesman acts like he doesnt care once I signed the paperwork. Have good rims on a car is important just as the engine and transmission.Business response

First of all, I totally agree with everything the customer said. I do not believe in selling a car with issues. I pulled the history on the car, and we thought we had the repair completed. On 7/17/2024 we had a 3rd party vendor "Wheel Workz" handle the issue. On 7/17/24 we paid $470.00 to straighten & weld wheels for repair. We also had them mount and balance the wheels and tires. This is the first time I'm hearing of any issue. I need to get the vehicle back to "Wheel Workz" to correct any ongoing issue. I have our Service Manager contacting the customer today. If anything, else is needed please call me.
Thanks,

I bought a car from ****** ****** . He gave me an unsigned title and no bill of sale. Upon requesting this he told me it was salvage and tried to charge me 400$ for a new title. He stated it had no mechanical issues. He lied. Then I also purchased 2 drive out tags from him waiting for resolution. I now have an unregistered undrivable safety hazard of a carBusiness response

We have talked with the person that filed the complaint. We explained this was a fraud issue and had nothing to do with our dealership. We did not sell her a vehicle nor have a ****** ****** employed with Mt. Moriah Auto Sales. Apparently, Mr. ****** gave her a fake drive out tag with our name on it. If I can be of any assistance, please call me.

On June 13, 2024, I paid $1300.00 down on a GLE350 ********* upon signing paperwork with finance department, my daughter noticed oil underneath vehicle, service department was closed my salesman (***************) along with finance guy came outside to the vehicle, assured me oil was just changed it was just an overflow and to bring vehicle back following day to check the oil. My daughter took it back the following day. When she got there service man said he would have to have it all day, The salesman called me assured me he would schedule appointment and to bring it back that Monday. He also texted dont worry everything will be covered. Vehicle also has cracked headlight, needs windshield wipers, headrests are missing, and a bad shake once gets up to speed. So Im trusting the salesman and show up at 8:30 Monday morning as scheduled. Get there and the service ***************** acts clueless to the appointment, tells me vehicle will have to be left there, and tells me the vehicle issues were known and he told the dealership before I purchased the vehicle, and they failed to repair! Im now even more livid! The salesman tells me talk to his boss, his boss tells me talk to head man ****! Im without a vehicle, missing work, and paying for rides being inconvenienced by their negligence. They never called to update me on the servicing of the vehicle, I went back there on today 6/19/24 asked for **** tells him again how dissatisfied I am, and that vehicle should have never been on their website or on the lot for sale when they knowingly knew of the major oil leak!! He tells me he had no idea and thats not how they operate. Thats not the actions your business has shown me!! He then states do I want him to buy the car back? Absolutely!! I want every cent back including down payment for full coverage insurance, along with my time Ive missed from work and monies spent on hitching rides!!Business response

I purchased a vehicle from this company in February of this year. Fast forward to April (2 months later) and the vehicle has internal transmission failure. I have been contacting the dealership for over a month asking for a resolution just to be told I can give you an estimate or Ill call you back. The sad part is I purchased another vehicle from them a month prior to this one. After reading the companies reviews Im incredibly shocked this business is still operating. In addition to that, I have yet to receive the tags for this vehicle with the transmission problem to date. This company needs to do the right thing and offer to repair this vehicle. I guess customer loyalty and doing the right thing is non existent at this place of so called business. I will be contacting the lender, my attorney, ************ on Consumer Affiars, and the *** for the Ill business practice of knowingly selling vehicles with mechanical issues and not conveying that to the consumer.Business response

On 1/27/24, ***************************** contracted a deal for ******************* and ********************* on a 2015 ***** Tahoe with ******* miles. At the time of purchase the customer was told there would not be a warranty and that the vehicle was sold "AS IS" due to the miles per *****. The customer understood and agreed. Enclosed is a copy of the Retail Buyers Order and "AS IS" paperwork. Also at the time of purchase the customer was offered a similar vehicle with lower miles that a warranty could be added, but the customer did not want that vehicle. At no time was there ever knowledge of any mechanical issues with the vehicle they purchased. If you need any further information, please let me know.

I purchased a 2016 Range Rover Sport HSE 3.0 Supercharged in November 2023. After a week of driving, the low coolant warning light came on. I topped the coolant reservoir off with the approved coolant. I don't drive the vehicle on a regular basis because I have another car I drive on a daily basis. About a month and a half later, I had driven the vehicle less than 1000 miles, I noticed the coolant warning light illuminated again as I was returning home from work. I drove about 4 to 6 miles and the vehicle overheated. I had it towed to my home. The following week I had it towed to a repair shop and diagnosed with a blown head gasket. I contacted *************** at Mt. Moriah Auto regarding the issue and he stated that I should have purchased an extended warranty and that he was not responsible for the vehicle because it was sold as is. I suggested that he remedy the issue because the vehicle had the blown head gasket when I purchased it and it seemed it just took that small amount of time for the problem to surface. *** stated that he would not make things right because it was not good for his business.Business response

I appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. I'm going to do some research and determine the history of the vehicle. At no point is there ever a reason our dealership would deceive the public with knowing of an existing issue.Customer response

I read the complaint and hate this situation has occurred. I did as the customer and checked the background of the cars service history. It shows as follows:
On 1/25/2023, the Land Rover Dealership in ******* serviced the car and did not see an issue.
On 6/12/2023, Midtown Autowerks did repairs and inspected the car showing no issues.
Once *************** purchased the car it was taken to BMI of Memphis due to them specializing on Land Rover models. I called the owner of BMI and he confirmed they did not see anything to show the head gasket was blown. The reason for BMI to work on the car rather than Mt. Moriah Auto Sales is because their techs specialize in Land Rover and we feel comfortable with their work.
At no time did we deceive the customer and at the time of purchase a warranty was offered as well, but it was declined by the customer.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car from Mt. Moriah in July 2022. ****** was my salesman and the main person I dealt with when purchasing but I also had interaction with ***. I purchased a 2013 dodge challenger financed through credit acceptance. Down payment on the car was 7,800$. With a monthly payment of 375$. On August 18, 2023 the car shuts off while im in it. I called a mechanic to diagnose the problem and he found an gps tracker under the hood and said that someone disable the car using the gps tracker. When I told ****** and *** about what was found they denied putting it there. They said that they havent used gps trackers on cars in years. I told them that if they didnt put the tracker on the car themselves then it shouldve been seen and removed before selling me the car. Its literally right under the hood not hidden. I was told that gps tracker was maybe there before they got the car in their possession. So now Im stuck paying car notes for a car thats disabled from unlawful surveillance. Ive missed two days of work already going on 3 because I work out of town. More than likely I will lose this job because of my car being disabled with a gps tracker. I contacted the finance company and they said that I was in good standing with my payments and not in threat of repossession. I feel there is some shady business going on. Please help.Business response

The customer is stating repair problems. We as a businsess have not hadthis customers vehicle in our shop. The customer lives a few hours away from us. The vehicle was taken to a service center in ************** ********. The service center told the customer there was a tracking device on the vehicle, we do not install tracking devides on our vehicles. The customer has the option to remove the device or find out who put it on the vehicle. The customer could have had a girlfriend install it. They could have taken out a second loan on the vehicle and the loan company put it on there. We did not install a tracker on the unit we do not install them on any of our vehicles. the customer has been in the vehicle for over a year. ************ did not install the device, the options are to take the device off or find out who put it on there. The comapany does not install tracking devices on any of our vehicles. We are not responsible for a vehicles repairs from another shop and especially after a year of ownership.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Mt Moriah is assuming someone I know put the gps tracker on my car. Also assuming that I took out a second loan on a vehicle that is already financed. Instead of owning up to what they did they make up lies and assumptions. I will be contacting the attorney general office and sending them the info I have. Its obvious Mt. Moriah is a shady car dealership.

The customer in question purchased this unit over a year ago. Mt Moriah Auto Sales does not use any tracking devices. The device was either put on after the customer purchased the or before we obtained the car. Mt Moriah is not responsible for a repair on a vehicle that was purchased over one year ago. The customer could have had somenoe he know put the device on or he could have taken a second loan oit and they put it on its hard to say. As far as a service complaint the vehicle has never been in our shop for service the customer lives out of the area. The best thing the customer can do is have the device removed and go about his business. Again, Mt Moriah Auto Sales does not install tracking devices on vehicles. The vehicle has never been in our shop after the customer purchased the vehicle so i cannot understand how the customer is claiming service complaint. Remove the device .Initial Complaint

On May 5,2023 **************** brought her vehicle in to our service center for an oil change. We performed oil change and repaired the drain plug on her oil pan. Ms. ************ returned to our service center on May 8,2023 with a concern about her vehicle leaking coolant. We performed a coolant system diagnostic and found the coolant outlet pipe assembly had a crack near the seal area causing leak. **************** declined to have repair done at this time , She believed we broke the housing during the oil change days earlier. I showed the location of the coolant pipe and explained the technician was never close the that area as well as explained with that heavy of a leak she would not be able to drive 10 miles without the engine overheating due to no coolant . she had driven 136 miles since oil change. I talked with **************** and she agreed to have repair completed at a discounted price. We did not want her to drive vehicle and damage engine so we helped out with the coast of repair. **************** returned to our service center on May 15,2023 with a concern of coolant leaking again, We performed pressure test on vehicle and found no coolant leaks present.Customer response

DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES REVIEW FROM A BANKING VICE PRESIDENT SPECIALIZING IN FINANCE On March 24th I began communicating with ************************* of Mt. Moriah Auto Sales regarding a ************* for a 2018 F250 Limited posted for $56,000. Given the fair price posted of the vehicle, it of course garnered much attention on a couple of ******** groups. After a brief conversation on ******** Messenger, **** and I began communicating via text message at her request. After 3 days of challenged communication between **** and I, we came to an agreement on the trade in value of my truck.I was very clear that I wished to finance the spread of $20,000 between the vehicles and no more. After **** agreed, I completed a Financing Request online at mtmoriahautos.com/used-car-financing by providing my personal information, income and employer information, and confidential information such as my Social Security Number. After submitting the request, **** then changed the amount of the spread between the vehicles to approximately $25000. When I reminded her of the price posted online - I didn't receive a response back for a time. In that time, ******** notified me that the price had been changed on the listing Low and behold - I then find that the price had changed to $59000.When confronted about this, **** then apologized for "my confusion" instead of taking responsibility for what had happened This is clearly an instance of a deceitful business practice. I would say that the bad reviews alleging unfair business practices are certainly validated, and I highly recommend not doing business with Mt Moriah or *************************.Business response

DON'T GET YOUR CAR HERE! These have been the worst few months of my life. A salesman took advantage of me and my not so good credit giving me a really high note and a car with so many problems. Got my *************** almost 3 months and it has been in the shop almost the entire time. Had problems from day 2. Have had the car in my possession maybe 7 days total. It has been in and out of the shop and this last time it's been there over 2 months. COMMUNICATION IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! From the salesman to the services department. And if ****** is assigned to your car good luck. He will keep promising you a call back and won't make any moves until you call and I guess remind him you exist. He promised to call me back in 10 minutes. Been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting. Slowest and worst services department I have ever encountered. At this point I don't care anymore. Just waiting for the tags to come in so that I can trade it in which ofcourse will be a huge loss. Also trying to find a good lawyer. I put 2 thousand dollars down and am about to make my 3rd payment soon on a car not in my possession. To say that I am frustrated would be an understatement.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:i was never told I would have to pay for this repair. Never given a price or anything. Just told i owe almost ***** dollars. When I first dropped my car off I was told they would take care of the problem. Was having this problem within the first week of purchasing car. Thought they were taking care of it like they did my battery after it went out day 2 after purchase. If I knew I would have to pay for the repair I would have gone somewhere else and not let my car sit there for over 3 months.
