I received a notice on 6/8/22 from my landlord that may 2022 rent was not paid. I usually get my money orders from advance financial. I went to the one on *********** in *********, ** to get proof of purchase from them the next day. I lost my receipt. I asked them if a money could be tracked and they said no with no attempt to help me. I contacted my lawyer and she wrote them a letter asking for cooperation. I went back and was told that I did not purchase a money order from them in May. They would not print me a copy of my purchased money orders. I believe I purchased a money order from them in May and all I needed was proof that I did or not. In my opinion, they were irritated about the letter and that is why I couldn't get a printout. The purchase would have been between May 1st through the 5th of this year for the amount of $***.

I received a collection letter for $833 dated 5/11/2022. I have never heard of this company or done business with them. I called the customer service number XXXXXXXXXX. They wanted me to provide them with personal info that I am not comfortable sharing because this appears to be a scam. I finally provided my date of birth and the person said I need to visit a local branch to resolve because it doesn't match the dob on the account. Of course it doesn't because I don't have an account with them. Their local branch is in TN. I live in VA. They obviously have the wrong person or this is a scam. Can you assist?

I opened a line of credit a few months ago and ever since then they have barely been applying anything to the principal when I make my payments. I paid nearly $1000 in April alone and only about 80-100 was applied to the principle. At this rate the loan will never be paid off. I am requesting that the 900+ I paid this month be applied to the principle balance and for the company to start applying the majority of the payments customers make to the principle.

    Business response

    05/11/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/25) */ Please review the original agreement. In order for your balance to go down faster we highly suggest making more than the minimum or even making additional payments. If you have any questions please contact our customer service department and any of our agents would be more than happy to assist. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept this response from the company as even with the astronomical interest rate, they make no effort to apply more towards the principle and demand that more and more additional payments be made. Approximately $100 or so has been applied to my principle balance. Everything else has gone to interest which just keeps going up every single week. All of the payment I just made earlier this month has been eaten up again by ridiculous amounts of interest Had I known they operated this way I would not have taken out the flex loan. The response from the business is very cookie cutter and does not address the underlying issue. I am requesting either my payments for this month be re-applied to the principle, or a significant reduction in the interest rate that I am being charged. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/05/04) */ We appreciate you as a customer and are willing to work out arrangements, unfortunately we are unable to apply all of your payments made last month to your principal balance. We are willing to provide you a discount. Please contact our offices and any of our Customer Service Reps will gladly assist you, you can reach us at (***)***-****.
