December 6, 2023, my wife (**** H *****, **********@gmail.com) received an email from the law firm of Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, LLP, advising that she had an outstanding obligation (fine, fee or charges, etc.) to ******** County Toll Road Authority (Road Authority Acct#: **********) that they were looking to collect. My wife has not been to ******** County in at least 20 years so the alleged outstanding fine must belong to someone else and sent to her by mistake. My wife received a second email today. Please advise if you are able to resolve this issue or if further action is needed by us. Thanks.Business response

As I've never been to ******* County Florida and live in another state entirely, I am certain they have the wrong person. They do not even list WHO owes the debt. It's just a bunch of legal jargon and threats. Don't know who these people are but someone needs to stop them from doing this to innocent people.Business response

I received a collection email from this 'Law Firm' that is for late fee's from a court case in 2013 that was paid off a decade ago. I had left 7k in cash for my bond, all fines and fees were taken out of that before it was returned. Apparently, being Louden TN they made a miscalculation of a few cents or something and the 14 bucks is a penalty? No clue because I have never heard about it until these bottom feeders vought the 'debt' and emailed meBusiness response

After reviewing Mr. ******* account, we reached out to our client, Loudon County, TN. It was confirmed that cash bonds were applied to his fines/costs however, this left an outstanding balance of $12 due to the court. The case was submitted to our office on 2/2/2023, and at that time, a collection fee was added to the case. Per our client's request, we've closed out the case on our side but Mr. ***** may contact the court, should he have any questions regarding the balance due.
Kind Regards

Perdue, Brandon,Fielder Collins and Mott sent me a collections letter for a twenty one year old traffic violation that was not my responsibility. I was driving an ***** ***** truck and was ticketed for "Improper Marking" and "No medical card". I gave the violation to the owner the business truck who it seems failed to pay the fines. I was never notified of any court dates. As an employee I am not responsible for the markings on the truck and was unaware I needed any medical card to drive.Business response

Good morning,
After thorough review of Mr. ********** account, we found that these cases were submitted to us in February 2023 from our client, Loudon County Court. We reached out to the Court who provided us verification of the debt owed.
Since Mr. ******** was driving the vehicle at the time of the offense and failed to appear for his court date, the debt was sent to our firm for collections. If the vehicle did not belong to Mr. ********, it would be his responsibility to reach out to his employer and ensure the Court was notified accordingly.
We will be happy to speak to the complainant via telephone to further assist him. He can call us at ************ to speak to one of our call center representatives.Initial Complaint
