Pattern of Complaint:

BBB files indicate Lone Star Overnight has a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging the business has delivery and customer service issues. Consumers allege that the business is either late on the delivery of products or fails to deliver products. Several complainants stated they did not receive tracking information or received tracking information that was incorrect or misleading.

 

Consumers allege the business fails to provide promised assistance or support for products or services. Complaints state that the business gives dates that consumers can expect their products, but products do not arrive or are reported lost by the business. Consumers also state they must keep reaching out to the business to follow up on issues, and experience long hold times and/or disconnected calls when attempting to reach the business. 

 

BBB first began monitoring Lone Star Overnight’s pattern of complaints in late 2021. In December 2021, Lone Star Overnight responded to BBB's concerns by stating that Lone Star Overnight had taken the following steps to address the issues:  

  • Increased material handling at the facilities so that they can process more packages
  • Added a text function for the consignee, which allows them to handle eight transactions concurrently instead of 1 with a call.
  • Switched Tracking Management System Vendors to ensure that when things are scanned, the consignee has the option to opt in to receive notifications about the whereabouts of the package.
  • Added Loss Prevention Manager to investigate all POD claims

However, as of June 2023, BBB conducted a follow-up investigation and concluded that the pattern of complaints previously noted remains.  As a result, BBB submitted a written request to the company seeking additional information, including how they intend to address the pattern identified within consumer complaints and customer review data. As of August 2023 Lone Star Overnight has not responded.

    I placed an order with a company on November 29th, and they are using LSO to deliver my product. LSO provided information that they received the order on December 5th, and 2 weeks later. I still have no expected delivery date. The package continually shows that it is in process, and I continue to get the same updates. I made my purchase well within the window to have delivery by Christmas, but I am concerned that my package will not come at all. When I call the LSO customer service line, every representative that picks up says they cannot hear anything and hangs up. I have called from two separate devices. I opened a ticket online, and have yet to hear a response. I have contacted the company I placed my order with to find out what my options will be for a refund if it is not delivered by Christmas, which at this point seems unlikely.

    After reviewing the drivers information it has been confirmed that airbill, ZY0FX4G3, was delivered to the correct address on 12/23/2024 12:17 PM at ***************************************************** and was left to ************** (DOB: **********). This has been verified through our internal investigation. I've attached the *** signature below for your reference.

    Lone Star Overnight failed to deliver two packages addressed to me with merchandise worth over $600! The delivery notes claim 'resident not in', at 7:18PM on 12/11/2024, which is false. I was home all day and my security cameras prove that no attempt was made to approach the driveway or even walk up to the door. I do not believe that the driver ever entered my neighborhood or attempted delivery at all. I believe Lone Star Overnight intends to steal my packages, without any accountability. Their customer service is impossible to reach. They have negligent business practices that need to be investigated by the State Attorney General of Texas. This package did not require a signature. Other packages from two different couriers were delivered to me just fine that evening to my front door. Lone Star Overnight is running a fraudulent business that is costing millions of Texans time and money due to packages being stolen or lost.

    LSO was supposed to deliver my item on May 14th, 2024 to a correct valid existing address that we used for over 15 yrs and received ALL mail. LSO sent me 2 messages fro May 14, 2024 and May 15, 2024 with some bogus notes that they attempted to deliver and it was a bad address. They said in writing they would try on a later business day and disappeared! So the item is sitting there just be abused their driver lacks analytical thinking and brain capability to deliver or the driver stole my item, which is a shame. The company has NO working phone number for customer service I could reach, and they don't care. This theft needs to be investigated, my package needs to be found and delivered to the mentioned address and whoever is not doing their job needs to be fired.     I have made purchases on 4 separate occasions with retailers who have sent merchandise using ******** as their shipping carrier. On all 4 occasions, this company fails to deliver merchandise as it stated it did. There is no customer service line to call for assistance. They do not respond to online support forms. When asked where the item is (because their tracking does not provide this info) they say it was either unable to be delivered and they returned it to sender but cannot provide a RTS label as proof. Or they say it was delivered but it in fact was not (per ring camera proof).

    LSO is claiming my address doesn't exist and is not attempting re delivery or providing me when I will receive my package. They have a long history of claiming addresses don't exist and people never getting their products.

    I was supposed to receive my Ulta Beauty package on Saturday March 30, 2024. I never got any updates and they tried to mark my package as undeliverable. I never had this problem with any shipping carrier until now. I spent $46.92.

    I have two packages with tracking that show they were out for delivery on March 5. I have received neither, no delivery attempt was actually made (I have a security camera), and the tracking has never been updated since then. I tried contacting customer service on March 7 to ask for an update. I received a message that day from ******* saying they were looking into it and to give them two days. When I heard nothing else, I reached out again on the 9 and was told they were still looking into it but had to wait to hear from the service center. I again received no update. I reached out again on the 13, but this time ******* did not respond. It's now the 19, and I have no packages and have still not heard from them.

    I ordered a package from ***** and it was shipped through LSO. On March 12, 2024 it said that they tried to deliver it but it was a bad address. Which is not true because Ive had other packages delivered from ***** with the same address, there was no problem. A lady from LSO claimed she delivered it but it was never marked down as such and I saw no package. I know that this happens often. I would just like for my package to actually be delivered to my apartment.
