Pattern of Complaint:

BBB files indicate Lone Star Overnight has a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging the business has delivery and customer service issues. Consumers allege that the business is either late on the delivery of products or fails to deliver products. Several complainants stated they did not receive tracking information or received tracking information that was incorrect or misleading.

 

Consumers allege the business fails to provide promised assistance or support for products or services. Complaints state that the business gives dates that consumers can expect their products, but products do not arrive or are reported lost by the business. Consumers also state they must keep reaching out to the business to follow up on issues, and experience long hold times and/or disconnected calls when attempting to reach the business. 

 

BBB first began monitoring Lone Star Overnight’s pattern of complaints in late 2021. In December 2021, Lone Star Overnight responded to BBB's concerns by stating that Lone Star Overnight had taken the following steps to address the issues:  

  • Increased material handling at the facilities so that they can process more packages
  • Added a text function for the consignee, which allows them to handle eight transactions concurrently instead of 1 with a call.
  • Switched Tracking Management System Vendors to ensure that when things are scanned, the consignee has the option to opt in to receive notifications about the whereabouts of the package.
  • Added Loss Prevention Manager to investigate all POD claims

However, as of June 2023, BBB conducted a follow-up investigation and concluded that the pattern of complaints previously noted remains.  As a result, BBB submitted a written request to the company seeking additional information, including how they intend to address the pattern identified within consumer complaints and customer review data. As of August 2023 Lone Star Overnight has not responded.

    ****** stated that my package was delivered in the lock box. We have an Amazon locker room and my package was not delivered. She advised that I check with my apartment manager, I did no package was delivered. This company is known for theft and its unfair to us customers

    I ordered two separate orders from ULTA. This LSO shipping company has had my order in status OUT FOR DELIVERY for 10 days! I emailed LSO, and ******* responded shed look into it, and get back to me. That was a week ago, and never heard back. I responded to her email again, and no response! This is ridiculous!!! Why are they in business? Why do these major companies even use them?!

    LSO has been a company that ulta has been shipping with recently. I have no idea why this company is still in business, it appears they "lose" packages all the time. I ordered with ulta on 2/14 and there had been NO UPDATES in LSO's shipping portal. Now they are telling ME to reach out to the company I ordered through to get a refund from them. Well, **** of course doesnt want to give me a refund. This company *****, shut them down!

    I received a messaged saying unable to access to deliver a package. My address and gate code are correct and there was no attempt to contact me. I contacted them by email because their phone number doesnt work. I have several emails with someone from regional stating that they would send my package back out if I send address info, but I never received my package. Instead I was told that I would get a text when my package would be sent out after I emailed again

    Lone Star Overnight delivered my ULTA packages to the wrong address yesterday and they refuse to assist in resolving the matter. I have contacted ****** at main office, and she has just cut us off. They have sent pictures that do not match those of my house and have refused to assist in locating the packages I need. I need GPS coordinates of where the driver left the following packages for me and my husband that have the tracking numbers below:UD00ZT32 UD00ZTB0 UD00ZT30 UDHJKNYD All above were to be delivered at ************************************************************************** but as per the pics they sent, LSO left them at another house, and I need to know where! I Also, according to the delivery pic they took, the driver left the package at the curb (not the front door as they claim). Please call me immediately at ************ with GPS coordinates of where the packages were left and assist in locating them as those cannot be re-ordered!

    I ordered a package that was to be delivered by LSO to a PO Box. They initially marked the package as unable to locate on 2/7 because they attempted delivery after hours. I contacted customer service on 2/9and was told to provide a physical address because they do not deliver to post offices. I did and then they marked the package as delivered to the front desk at the post office(again after hours). I have had no success reaching an answer from customer service via email or by phone. I would like proof of where my package was delivered. I have check both locations. This is the third package lost by this company with no resolve.

    - Phone number posted on website and given to customers and retailers using their service is bogus.-They are supposed to be handling my delivery from a company I ordered from but it seems they have lost or stolen my package. It was marked on tracking out for delivery in *******, ** where I live on 2/5/24 and here it is 2/8/24 and has not shown up. -I have a mailed the customer service email listed and no one is making an attempt to solve the issue. I fully believe this company is stealing packages and lying about the tracking information.-The total cost I spent including shipping on my order is $19, which may not seem like much but I dont make much either.

    Placed an order with ***** and LSO was handling the delivery. Its not the first time they delivered my ***** order. Today for my recent order I get Delivery Failure Location from *****. I rush to the LSO site to check the status and it says Unable to Locate. Nothing on my address changed so why suddenly they are unable to deliver to me? Where is my package!? I dont like in the backwoods. Im in a large city.
