I live in an apartment owned by Power Properties. There has been a MASSIVE cockroach infestation for the last 6 months and they ignore our complaints. They have sent pest control out but they can't even curb the problem. I have been ignored and not believed by management for so long now. I have allergic reactions to the roaches and can't sleep. I have to kill literally 50-100 roaches a day. Management won't get back to me or any other neighbors here regarding the issue. This is a health hazard. They are responsible for providing livable conditions and they aren't. This is the WORST management I have ever experienced. All I want is for them to make this right or release me from my lease right now.

The first lease I signed was January 21, 2017. The DEPOSIT amount paid and listed on the lease at that time was $3,254. The next lease was signed on February 1, 2018. On that lease the DEPOSIT amount listed was $3,078. All three leases since then have listed that same DEPOSIT amount of $3,078. That is $156 less than was PAID and listed on the first lease. I have asked via email, since that is the only way you can get ahold of them, about the missing $156 and they will not respond. They have actually stopped responding to me at all on any topic.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/12) */ The lease di list an incorrect amount on her first lease. However, if you refer to the ledger as to what was paid on the deposit, the later leases are correct. We have not cut off communication and answered her last email yesterday with less then an 8 hour turnaround.

They made changes to the Parking Policy mid lease. This was not done for safety reasons per their own words it was done for organization and due to misuse of the parking lot. The Property Code is very clear they can only make this change mid lease for safety reason unless agreed upon by the tenant. I had trouble registering on the tow company website and emailed with questions many times - most were ignored. My car was towed 4/23 from my assigned sport in the gated residential parking lot which I pay $40 a month for and have for over 5 years. My car is fully operable and legal. Not only did it cost almost $200 to get back but they also damaged my car in the towing process all of which was reported before I ever left the tow place. The property code also says the apts. are responsible for the damages to my car which they refuse to address with me. I have also requested info on the Owner and management company multiple times as the tenant rights handbook says I have the right to and they refuse to give me the info. This new parking policy also causes other pieces of the lease to change in regards to our visitors which is also not allowed mid lease unless agreed upon by both parties. I have attempted to get a resolution now for two weeks to no avail. The signage says the same it always has. That UNAUTHORIZED vehicles will be towed but says nothing about having to ¨Register"on the tow company website and since that is the site that I specifically reserved and paid for monthly since Feb 2017 and was parked legally it should not have been towed much less damaged.

I started seeing claims on my credit report for $14,000 from Power Properties during 2020. I had not lived in power properties since 2019. I never received any notification from power properties of any damages or charges that I owed them prior to this credit report. When I tried to communicate with the employee who I had previously conducted all of my business with, Katie L*****. When I told her about the charges, she told me that they were incorrect and immediately apologized. Katie had told me that this situation had happened to several tenants and that it had to do with the lawsuit that Power Properties was going through. I communicated with her multiple times over text while she told me that she was taking care of the situation, and she told me that the issue was resolved and that she would send me an email confirming the charges would be removed by National Credit Systems, the debt collector to which they had already sold the debt. I never saw the charge removed, and after asking multiple times, I never received the email confirmation that she had promised. At this point I b**** going up to the physical office. I talked with Vanessa C*****, Erin R****, and Fabiola B*****. I showed them the messages between Katie and I and they ask for time to figure out what had happened. During this process I discovered that someone at Power Properties had falsified a lease in my name. I have text messages from Katie L***** in which she assures me that my name had been removed from the lease (I lived with a boyfriend, and eventually moved out, requesting to be removed from the lease). She assured me that I had been removed, on the very same day a new lease was signed electronically in my name from a falsified email address. Power Properties acknowledged this and has done nothing about it. They also agreed to give me a list of actual charges which the actual tenant (not me) agreed to pay, that was months ago, I still have received nothing, their number is now disconnected.

    Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/20) */ Please see attached email communication to Ms. *******. Also please see attached screenshots between Ms. ******* and Katie L*****. Power Properties tried to come to a resolution with Ms. ******* in regards to this matter. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I agree that Power Properties made an attempt to come to a resolution, but I have been waiting for months to receive an updated list of charges and a repayment plan for the actual tenant (not me). The charges that they sent in the initial email to me were not all correct, as the final month's rent for this unit had been paid directly to Katie L***** as was discussed with Power Properties. They agreed to send a list of any damages to the apartment along with a payment plan. The prior emails do not contain this information of updated charges. Neither do they address the issue that someone that worked for Power Properties created a fraudulent lease signed in my name. Every time Power Properties agrees to contact me with information, I wait weeks or months for a reply which is never sent. I have had to call and go up to the physical office every time as they do not reach out to me. I have tried to be patient, but I need this fraudulent charge to be removed from my credit history. Power Properties is not taking responsibility for their employee in this matter, who assured me that I was no longer associated with this property in any way, months before the charges that they have attributed to me. This is shown in the text messages that I sent, which are dated to the same day that the lease I submitted was signed fraudulently. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/05/12) */ Ms. ******* received an updated list of charges being removed from her account. Again she did not agree. 1-18-22 She was also sent a ledger and move out statement. See attached images with date stamps. 1-7-22 We apologized to Ms. ******* about katie L*****. She no longer works for ***** Properties. Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2022/05/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) As I mentioned before, ***** Properties indicated they would send me another list of charges that had been corrected and without any failure to pay rent, because the rent was paid to Katie L*****. Unfortunately for me, this was in a phone conversation after the previous email. I no longer know how I can even contact ***** properties as their office seems to have been closed. It also seems very wrong to me that their response to one of their employees creating and signing a fraudulent lease in my name is "we apologize" "she no longer works for ***** properties". Her no longer being an employee does not absolve them from responsibility of her actions while she was their employee. I've called many times to try to arrange a payment option for the actual tenant to pay these damages to them. I feel I have tried my best to be helpful in a situation where I am not at fault. Yet they have not returned my calls for months now. I want this charge off my credit report. That is the only satisfactory response to charges that are only being charged to me because of their employees illegal actions.
