On January 9, 2024, BBB reviewed a pattern of complaints regarding this company, Tribal By N LLC. Complaints received by BBB alleged that Tribal By N:

~ has not sent purchased items out for delivery or only partial orders delivered while continuing to advertise products online for sale;

~ poor and/or no customer service response from the company, including blocking email messages and removing negative reviews online;

~ and moreover, delays in providing refunds to consumers when requested.

On January 9, 2024, BBB sent email and postal correspondence to Tribal By N LLC to address the pattern of complaints. In addition, BBB requested confirmation regarding the location address(es) for Tribal By N LLC operations headquarters.

BBB received a written response from Tribal By N LLC via email on January 9, 2024. In the response, Tribal By N LLC stated they had ceases all marketing until fulfillment issues are resolved. The company denied blocking consumers from the support@tribalbyn.com email address. The company stated their Shopify platform store reserved capital for refunds and stated they may experience delays in completing refunds requested. The company confirmed they have a money back guarantee. The company further iterated it ensures response to all complaints in a timely manner.

BBB sent follow-up correspondence to Tribal By N LLC on January 11, 2024, and again on January 23, 2024. Neither correspondence received a reply from the company.

As of February 22, 2024, Tribal By N LLC store on Shopify is inactive. The company has not responded to BBB consumer complaints on file. Tribal By N LLC Facebook Page is still active with the most recent posting on February 16, 2024.

    I placed an order in October 18th for a pair of pants on the Tribalbyn website. A couple weeks later, I reached out via their support email inquiring about the status of my order. I was finally given a tracking number to a label that was created but not yet sent out. I inquired a week later and no one responded. I went on their IG page to get someone to assist me. I finally got a response on December 2nd, a month later apologizing for my delayed delivery. The customer representative told me the order had been lost or not delivered. He assured me that they would send out another other via *** internationally within 4-5 days. I reached out again and again, almost daily, and NO ONE is responding to my messages. At this point, I want a refund, but no one is even responding to emails and messages. This is very frustrating and disappointing because I have ordered from this website once before a couple of years ago.

    Tribalbyn has contacted me via email stating that they will issue me a refund for my order, which they did. Also I was sent another email apologizing for the lack of communication that resulted in me not receiving my order and another shipping label was created in attempt to send me my order. As far as I am concerned, the issue has been resolved

    I ordered an **** longline jacket on 9/26/24. I contacted them on 10/7/24 requesting a status, and received a response on 10/11/24 stating that I would receive by that next week. I did not receive it. I contacted them again on 10/21/24, requesting a full refund, and they responded on 10/24/24 stating the jacket had been made already, and was in transit via cargo in bulk to their warehouse over there. I replied on 10/31/24 requesting a tracking number or a full refund. I inquired again on 11/4/24 requesting a full refund. They have not responded

    The business responded on 11/14/24 stating a delay.  I informed them that ******** issued me a refund, and that I didnt want the product.  On 11/18/24 they informed me that the product was on its way and couldnt be cancelled, and to return it once received.  I followed up because I realized that they were paid and should still send, and requested they do so.  As of 12/2/24, the product has not been received

    On 4/19/24, I pursued 2 African outfits from the website of TRIBALBYN and I paid $137.77 for the outfits and shipping fee. I was promised that my order will be delivered in 2 weeks. I waited for 3 weeks but nothing came. I emailed the customer service and I was given so many excuses why my order was delayed. I waited another 3 weeks but nothing came. I then sent another email to the customer service demanding for a refund . This time, I was told that one of the outfits was the problem. I was offered another outfit in the place of the one I picked. I agree to this because I just wanted to have something for my money. I waited for another 2 weeks but nothing came in. I have asked for a refund several times but nothing was received. There was one time that I got a delivery tracking number from this company. After I have waited for another 2 weeks and nothing came, I called the post office and I was told that they have not received any package from TRIBALBYN. It has been 3 months and I have been given so many excuses. Please help me to resolve this issue. Thank you. Temi.

    I placed the order on May 9, 2024 and they set it up for shipping the same day with tracking number: ****************************** and it has never been picked up. I sent multiple communications with the company and even called them from the number provided by the transaction and I could only leave a voice mail. I have attached documentation to this complaint.

    I place an order on September 06, 2023, for three African dresses with the total amount of $69.85. My order number is #*****. After placing the order, the company informed me that one of the dress that I order was out of stock. The company asked if I wished to wait for the dress to be in-stock. I decided to wait. However, It has been 7 months already and I have not heard from the company. I sent them countless messages through their website requesting that I be fully refunded for my order since it has remained unfulfilled. I have not received any reply back from the company.

    I placed three different orders with this company. They have yet to send me the items. I have contacted them via email for months about a refund since they cannot ship out the product. They keep stringing me along stating there shipment is late. This have been going on now since the summer. At this point, I want my money back. Ridiculous.

    I placed an order for three sets from Tribalyn (see original order PDF) - the order was placed on 9/3/2023 and I ultimately received my order on 9/17/2023. I paid $184.47 in total for 3 sets in anticipation of a trip to ******* at the end of September/early October. I sent an initial email on 9/17 that the Rere set fit but the bottoms for the other two sets didn't. I sent an email to see if they had XL in stock. I later realized that the bottoms of the sets sent were not in the size L as requested (they were medium) and asked if they would be able to send the correct sizes and was told ~ 9/23 to mail the package back in order to initiate an exchange. I was told they cannot send a packing slip for my return even though it was their error. I asked about a refund and was told items on sale (my items were not on sale - I used a promo code / it was an early labor day promo code) cannot be refunded. I sent an email on 10/19 with the tracking number for my return (**********************) and told them that I requested a full refund for my order rather than an exchange as 1) items were not on sale and 2) the communication was very poor and I was worried I wouldn't truly receive the exchange. Between October and December - I sent emails almost every other day to request an update as my return was confirmed to have arrived. I received information that the return had to then be shipped to ******* to complete the process; was told I can't have a refund; and that an exchange was sent (it was not). I shared that I had moved across town and again requested a refund. I shared my updated address in December for refund (if check was required) and said while I prefer to not have an exchange - I was desperate to not have wasted my money. Fake tracking information was sent: ************************************************************************************* I emailed today for an update (see attachment) and email is apparently now discontinued/blocked.

    I placed two orders (back to back) and have yet to receive all of my items. *Note, this company will even provide a tracking number as if the package was sent, but when you click on the link you soon find out never mailed' "Label Created, not yet in system" *The items I did receive were the wrong size (the pantset top and bottom were different sizes).Date of Transactions: 11/28/2022 Amount Paid: $123.63 Business Committed to Provide: 2 Pantsets (RERE AFRICAN PRINT SILK SET and ZAMBIA AFRICAN PRINT SILK SET)Nature of Dispute: After nearly a year I received the two pantsets (red and blue). However, not as advertised. First off, they are not silk. Secondly, the lining in both blouses is white, not the high-end silk print advertised. One of the pantsets has a different size top than the bottom. After waiting for 9-10 months, they send the wrong thing. I've emailed them countless times, but they continue to provide empty promises that the items will ship soon. It's now 2024, and still nothing.     I appreciate your response, but I have a problem. Every time I contact you, you make the same promise. However, it has been over a year now, and I still have not received all of my items.

    I find it unacceptable for a business to operate this way. Tribalbyn is still promoting sales and accepting orders, even though you are already behind on countless orders. If I had known about your poor BBB rating and poor ******** reviews, I would not have ordered from you.

    Unfortunately, I must request a full refund for orders over a year old. A decent company would have offered a refund and still shipped the items. As I previously mentioned, I ordered the clothing for a photoshoot, and I had to buy more clothing from another vendor because Tribalbyn failed to deliver my order.

    Regarding the items I allegedly did not return, the pantsuit you sent me had pants in one size and a top in another size, which was not my fault. I see no reason to send anything back to a company that has my money and over half of my items in their possession. You have not shown yourself to be trustworthy.

    I want to make it clear; I do not want to close this claim until I receive all of my items and a full refund. If you're unwilling to provide a refund, I will be satisfied with a free jumpsuit (of my choosing) and my missing items.

    I hope we can resolve this matter and put an end to this nightmare.

    Just an FYI ...

    On Friday, January 26, 2024, @ 5:13 a.m. I received an email from Tribalbyn asking which items I have yet to receive. Although I've given this information to them countless times, I replied the same day, on Friday, January 26, 2024, @ 9:38 a.m., with the requested information.

    I am rejecting their response because I don't wish to close out this claim before receiving my items. Sadly, this business is not to be trusted. They've been saying for over a year now that they are sending the items. I will gladly close out the claim once I receive all my items and a full-refund for having to wait so long.

    Respectfully, we are nearing the end of March of 2024 and I still don't have my items. I figured this might happen which is why I didn't close the BBB complaint. What are the next steps? How long do we wait for Tribalbyn to do what's right and honor the agreement of replacing my items. Again, this has gone on way too long.

    I am rejecting this response because:   

    Respectfully, I believe Tribalbyn is purposely delaying my order and has no intention of providing me with the items I ordered and paid for. I have already provided the required information to them multiple times, even to more than one person within the company.

    I last emailed them on Friday, January 26th, to provide the order numbers and replacement items for the things they no longer carry. However, I did not receive a reply until Monday, February 12th, which stated that my request would be processed soon and that they were sorry for the delay due to an issue with the delivery agent. They also apologized for not responding to my request within the usual response time.

    Now, in March, they are still asking for the same information, which leads me to believe that they are scam artists and should not be allowed to do business in the ***. It is unacceptable for a company to take money from consumers and fail to deliver the promised items.

    I purchased an item in September that has not been delivered yet. Communication stopped on the business side at the end of November after a few condescending emails. There is no phone number to contact anyone to discuss the issue nor to get a refund if the item is not available. The postal service is awaiting the item from the seller.

    My name is **********************************. I placed an order on September 8th for 4 items order # *****. On September 11th I received an email saying my order was shipped. On Oct 7th I emailed them asking them for an update coz I didn't receive my order they said there has been a delay and they are working on it.
