Current Alerts For This Business
The BBB of Houston and South Texas began receiving complaints in January 2014 that exhibit the following pattern.
Consumer disputes have alleged that when purchasing merchandise at Charming Charlie, they are automatically signed up for two magazines they did not want nor did they order. Additionally disputes have alleged the consumer was not given and option to opt out. Consumers are told when they call about the magazines, they will receive a call back from Corporate but no call is made. Consumers have contacted the magazine publishers directly and they are told the magazine order is already pending and can’t be stopped.
On May 5, 2014, BBB contacted the company's customer service department to alert it of a pattern of customer complaints about the subscription offer, as well as seek additional information. Currently, BBB has yet to receive a response.
