  I bought a metal building a 40x80 Metal Building Kit. When we got the building it turns out we were needing about 26 Major Pieces. I contacted quantum and have spoken to a guy named **** who tells me they dont have any money and are broke. The two business owners *************************** and ************* have new businesses and are working another business, one as Barndoplans and the other as ****** General Contracting making metal buildings. Here I am ********* plus in expenses and with a building that is incomplete. I have tried contacting the owners to resolve this issue and no one has contacted me back. I have found out I am not the only one who is going through this and there are many others.

  3/24/22i signed contract with Quantum Impact steel(***************) in the sum $72,946.00 to manufacture a 42x100x16 metal building w/ all necessary components for ******************* and architecture to make this my home 7/21/22i paid contract in full as requested by QIS before delivery 7/25shipment arrives w/ large amount of missing components 9/1/22recieved shipment missing components 9/16install starts severe fabrication errors noticed QIS notified they fired employee&okayd reimbusememt for any refab,my time&materials needed 9/17 -9/28refabrication of 30% mainframe QIS originally fabricated subcontracting certified workers where necessary 10/6the frame was almost complete when a large dip in roof frame noticed due to short fabricated rafter&columns as well as rafter clips making building come short QIS was contacted to resolve the issue QIS responded w/ send out replacement parts for 30% of building&reimburse for all the extra time, materials, machine rental which incurred from the misfab'd components over buying the building back 11/3recieved replacement parts some were not sent proper length as the original pieces which made more time&materials to cut to proper length QIS notified Still missing components from original shipment 11/4missing 30wall panels that QIS guaranteed were accounted for QIS blamed panel company 11/22Contact QIS to notify of extra costs involved w/ replacing columns rafter&roof purlin QIS guarantees reimbursement 12/12contacted QIS for update assured me owner would call&write check no call received 12/20recieved panel shipment still missing pieces from original shipment notified QIS w/ no update on refund 12/23QIS demands reciepts to get my refund i sent reciepts 12/27 QIS ignored calls 1/5/23QIS changed reps **** offer for 1/3 agreed up reimbursement I Resent reciepts 1/13&1/23 QIS met w/ owners guaranteed $10,000refund 1/25QIS said check mail out 1/26 1/26QIS guaranteed overnighted check by 1/31 1/31 QIS failed to send No refund to date

  In the month of June 2021 I wired a down deposit of 35% of a $44k thats a little over 15k to Quantum Impact Steel llc. Due to unforeseen obstacles related to the pandemic, we were unable to pay off the remaining balance. We have tried numerous attempts in reclaiming our deposit but was refused and was told that our building would have to be sold first for us to receive any of our deposit back and that they would keep in touch to see if they could resolve anything. Its been well over a year since and no response and not a single phone call. We called to check on the status of our building several amount of times and they still have the same sad excuses. We also called to check if any buildings are available and ready to ship and they had said theres no buildings made and ready to ship and it would take another ***** weeks to build another package if we were interested, at that point I knew they sold my building. When I mentioned to them that I already had a building package that was made and I had a put a down deposit on it already they were quick to try and make an excuse that they still have it and it may be pushed in the Back and not sold. Giving me so many excuses that they cant sell it because its made for ****** and not the snow in the mainland and the building structure is different which I was never asked what kind of building structure was available and if theres different type of steel, they didnt know I was from ****** when I started the building plan so how would ****** building be different from mainland plus its only the shell (look the same). So that explains it all that they never tried to sell our building or they sold it but took our deposit 15k plus another 44k or used the steel to build and reconstruct another structure either or they wont just waste the whole building and push it on the side like they said. We just want our money back so we could build something more affordable for my family here in ******. Poor customer service!
