The Credit People is a great company to work with! Several years ago, I found that there were many inaccuracies with on credit reports with all three major credit bureaus. ***: Every consumer should be proactive with their credit, as erroneous credit reporting is not all that uncommon. Ive worked with a couple of credit repair companies, disappointed that my credit scores moved upward merely by 32 - 53 points per credit bureau. I was completely frustrated with it all, until I discovered that amazing folks at The Credit People. With in two months from starting with The Credit People, my scores moved an average of 50 - 61 points! By the time our 6-month business relationship was concluding, my credit scores have moved up by: 104, 117 and 126 points in total. This FINALLY, put me into the Very Good and Exceptional credit classes. Additionally, all the incorrect information on my credit reports, such as addresses that Ive never had, were all removed!Anytime I have emailed support, I had always received, not only a very prompt reply, but also a very detailed, professional and cheerful one ****** ecstatic, to say the least. In July, Ive financed a new car at a great interest rate, thanks to this remarkable companys services. I would most definitely recommend The Credit People to anyone seeking credit repair. The Credit People, Inc. Response

This company is clearly a scam. I acquired their services November 20, 2024 and on December 5, 2024, 15 Days later I logged into all 3 paid credit bureau membership accounts and noticed that their was no such record of disputes even done on my behalf. When I questioned The Credit People immediately regarding that although their claiming to have sent disputes when all the bureaus informed me of the opposite ********, I take who's the key player, claimed that the bureau's were lying when in fact she was lying. Mind you the following day she called me at 9:10am stating that strangely enough all 3 bureaus were blocking any efforts of disputes made by them! Come on ******** we have to do better, you didn't know that I had the ability to track your progress because I have access of all actions made on my account and you were caught red handed and didn't want to deal with someone who had that ability. You people were caught and just like I stated I've successfully took all three bureaus to litigation years ago ad one don't think for one moment I would let you slid as well playing with my credit and money. Stop scamming people and knock it off with your shananagins! I know the process oh to well to be naive and gullible! This people are scammers, so please do you homework because I clearly did not check the BBB first! The Credit People, Inc. Response

Hi ******,Thank you for your feedback. There seems to be a misunderstanding, so we'd be happy to clarify. We also have access to all three of your bureaus (Transunion, Experian, and Equifax). We were aware you had access too since you mentioned that in our phone conversation (most of our clients have accounts with the bureaus so this is not unusual). We did see as you mentioned in our conversation over the phone that you submitted disputes on your own by contacting the bureaus, and on the very same day the bureaus marked them completed (which means they didn't really spend the time to contact the creditor and investigate the account if it was completed on the same day). We mailed custom dispute letters, but in addition to that we did online disputes as well and again, the bureaus marked them completed right away stating the accounts had been "previously" verified (and they clearly weren't doing their due diligence in actually contacting the creditors to investigate them). In total you were with us for just a few weeks (not even a month) and instead of continuing to charge you (as many companies would) we called you and had an honest conversation that clearly the bureaus were being very difficult with your reports, and we didn't think this would be a good fit for you to continue. We hoped you would value that we did reach out to you and did spend the time to have that honest conversation, rather than just continuing (a scam would never do that). We can understand your frustration that the bureaus have been difficult with your credit (you mentioned you already had litigation with them) but we truly aren't the bad guys and did everything we could to try to help you in the few weeks you were with us.We wish you all the best in all you do moving forward!Best Regards,-The Credit People-Review from Susan H

Ive been paying $119/month with no items being removed from my credit. My credit actually went down and now I have an account put on my ********************** thats not even mine-when I reached out to them to ask what exactly am I paying for, and why is my credit worsethey used a canned email response. This company uses the same letters over and over again to the credit bureau companies-they dont look at your credit to see if items have been on your account for over 7 years! I want a refund, this should be illegal-most other companies will guarantee removals -Ive had zero removals and now I have something on my credit thats not mine! The Credit People, Inc. Response

Hi *****,We hope you're doing well! Thank you for your feedback, and we are truly sorry to hear you were not pleased with our service. We care about our clients, and know the credit system is not fair so we do everything we can to fight against the bureaus and creditors. The reason we can't "guarantee" what will come off your reports is because that's not entirely within our control or any Credit **************** control. It also involves the bureaus and creditors and what they can prove is legally accurate or not. We can understand your frustration that a new negative account was added to your reports, but we hope you keep in mind we didn't add that account. The ************************ reported it to the bureaus and the bureaus allowed it to be added to your reports. We did review the responses you received from us, and they are hand typed out responses from live Representatives (we review each individual email and respond with specifics based on your account). We also don't use the same letters over and over again, and we have a database of over 500 different types of disputes we send out to the bureaus. Your account was canceled yesterday as you requested (there are no further charges). We also issued you a 1-month refund per our refund policy. Please allow your bank on average 3-5 business days to post that refund back to your card.We are sorry to see you go, but wish you all the best in all you do moving forward!Best Regards,-The Credit People-Review from Patricia P

Do not use this company !!!! I needed a few things repaired . It has been almost 2 months and nothing has changed , but I got a letter from Equifax or Experian and they said that the company was trying to dispute something and that a third party Can NOT do so it has to be done by you and they would not fix it unless I personally disputed ! So now Im out over $100The Credit People, Inc. Response

Hi *******,We hope you're doing well! It sounds like there is a misunderstanding since you mentioned you have been with us for almost two months but you were only with us for one. We would have been happy to explain your account status, the work we were doing (which we do list on your online account as well) and any questions you may have had if you simply contacted us directly. We list on your account from the very first day you sign up (as with all of our clients) that the bureaus are sending those letters (we provide an explanation as well so that way our clients are aware they are being sent and why). We know you want to see positive progress, and the good news is we do as well, but credit repair is not a fast process in general, it does take time, and often involves several rounds of disputes. Unfortunately, there's only so much we can do to help your credit in one month. If you'd like to contact us to discuss your account we would be happy to do so, but if not we do wish you all the best in all you do moving forward.Best Regards,The Credit PeopleReview from Danial L

The credit people is a scam, all that i needed to be removed was 3 charge offs and they said it would be easy. credit bureaus wont work with them for obvious reason and will send you letters about fraudulent activity. My advise if I am paying that much money go somewhere that has good ratings. 100% would never use this company again, smooth talkers, 0 results. The Credit People, Inc. Response

Hi ******,We hope you're doing well! In reviewing your account, we do see you were only with us for 2 months total (back in February and March) and credit repair in general does take time and often several rounds of disputes (for any credit repair company) since we have to fight against the bureaus and creditors that want that information on your credit reports. We didn't report that account information, but we can understand your frustration with the bureaus that they continue to allow that information to be reported. We do not offer guaranteed results since your credit reports are not entirely within our control (or any credit repair company's control). The bureaus are the ones that report your accounts and we do everything we can to aggressively fight against that system to get any positive progress possible. This process also does depend on what the creditors can prove or not (meaning if they can prove the account was yours, and there was a history of late payments within the past 7 years then legally they can report that account information). If you happen to have any supporting documents you can provide us to help prove these charge offs weren't your accounts, or you were never past due, or there was a "Pay for Delete" agreement, please contact us and would be happy to do one additional round of disputes for free as a courtesy to show you we certainly aren't a scam and we do care about our customers. We were sorry to see you go, but we do wish you all the best in all you do moving forward!Best Regards,-The Credit People-Review from Todd H

I'm getting aggravated 29 negative items on my report still 11 removed since January I'm at the point of just giving up. When will more items be removed from my credit report..The Credit People, Inc. Response
05/01/2024
Hi ****,Thank you for letting us know your feedback. We're sorry to hear you're getting aggravated since we would never want our clients to feel that way. In reviewing your account, we have confirmed 11 negative accounts removed so far (which is good news and does help your credit reports), and there was improvement in January as well. While we can't guarantee how many more negative accounts will come off your reports since this process is not entirely within our control and does involve the bureaus and creditors, we are fighting your negative account history as aggressively as possible. If you have any additional questions regarding your account, please make sure to contact us directly (via chat, email, or phone) so we can assist you (we do see we spoke to you earlier this month as well). We understand the credit system is frustrating to many consumers and we agree that it's not fair to consumers in general, but we are doing everything we can to get any further positive progress possible. Thank you!-The Credit People-Review from Leslie J

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! I understand why the credit bureaus send out letters making sure you know you can do yourself the same thing what they are charging you $99 a month for. They even have companies who actually create the dispute letters for you, all you have to do is sign and mail. The Credit People, Inc. Response

Hi ******,Thank you for letting us know your feedback and concerns. All consumers have the right to do disputes on their own credit at any time. However, the process is very time-consuming and frustrating since it involves fighting against the bureaus and creditors who want those accounts on your credit reports. If the bureaus really were on your side, and credit repair was an easy process, then Credit Repair Companies wouldn't exist in the first place. You mentioned "they even have companies who actually create dispute letters for you", we do in fact create dispute letters for all of our clients and we send them out for them as part of our service (this is exactly what our service does). We do the work for our clients in sending custom dispute letters both via mail and online disputes. Unfortunately, the name and email you provided in this review does not match the information provided for an account with us so we can't provide specific details on your account, but if you would like to review your account or discuss any of your questions we would be happy to do so. You can reach us via chat, email **************************************** or via phone *************) at your convenience.Thank you!-The Credit People-Review from Richard G

I must admit they talk a good game, but their outcome is very bad. I cannot deny that they may have good communication skills, but the outcome of their actions is undeniably poor."I must admit, they talk a good game, but their outcome is very bad."The Credit People, Inc. Response

Hi *******, Thank you for reaching out and letting us know your feedback and concerns. In reviewing your account, unfortunately, you weren't with us for enough time to get a positive outcome from our service. The average credit repair is about a 6-8 month process and does involve several rounds of disputes. In total you were with us for 37 days. We know clients want to see positive changes as soon as possible, and the good news is we do as well, but it's important to keep in mind we don't have full control over your credit reports and this process does also involve the bureuas and the creditors who want those accounts on your reports. There are years worth of credit history on all three of your reports, and this process would have taken more than just one round of disputes. Your account was already canceled as you requested so there are no further charges. We are sorry to see you go, but wish you all the best in all you do moving forward!Best Regards,-The Credit People-Review from Mike L

I signed up with The Credit People in September at $99/month. At the time they told me that I would see real changes within 90 days. They have been able to remove one account of the six and this wasn't even my account, so I guess that one was easy. I had already paid off a settlement with two of the other five accounts and I just wanted them to help me get it off my credit report, and they haven't done nothing. They really haven't done nothing for seven months and $700. When you call them, they make you feel like you are bothering them and provide you with no update, except we are sending letters to the credit reporting agencies, but no specifics. I could have done this myself, but I thought they were experts, so it would be faster. It's a shame that these companies are allowed to exist. What a scam, please don't use them. Do it yourself. The Credit People, Inc. Response

Hi Michael, Thank you for letting us know your feedback and concerns. We do care about our clients, and would never want them to not be pleased with our service. In reviewing your account, we do see we have spoken to you many times and provided several updates (you mentioned there was no details provided). We also have an online account for all of our clients to access at their convenience which shows your credit scores, each of the negative accounts on your credit reports, what we have confirmed was removed, and what we are continuing to dispute. You did mention we removed a negative account from your reports and that is positive progress for your credit reports to no longer have that negative account (which shows we were doing work and not a scam as you mentioned). On 3/18 when we reviewed your account in detail, we discussed that it would be helpful to provide any documentation you have to prove your accounts were not yours, you were not past due, or there was a "Pay for Delete" agreement involved. You mentioned at that time you did not have any of those documents and that your accounts were legitimate. We then reviewed with you that we can fight as hard as we possibly can, but we can't guarantee what will come off your reports if the accounts are legally accurate and the creditors can prove that. We know the credit system is frustrating to most consumers, and we agree that it's not fair, but that doesn't mean that we didn't do any work for you in regularly reviewing updated reports and sending several rounds of disputes to all three bureaus. We also see you canceled your account today and per our refund policy received a 1 month refund as well. We are sorry to see you go, but wish you all the best in all you do moving forward! The Credit People did an amazing job helping me repair my credit. After repairing my credit as best as possible myself, I looked to hiring a professional service to help with the remaining items - specifically removing a collections. After researching various options, I actually tired a competitor of The Credit People first and was totally disappointed. I can say now after working with The Credit People for only two months, I should have gone with them the whole time. Here are my highlights: 1) They got the job done! Collections removed from all three credit bureaus within two months. 2) Their website and customer experience is totally streamlined. They think of everything to ensure you're being walked through the process - providing peace of mind. Their website might not be the sexiest, but it's simple and works very efficiently. Their competitor I tried first had a glitchy and extremely slow website. And last but not least, they have excellent communication. I received confirmation and notifications every step of the way. Have patience, do your part, and trust their process. 3) They were super responsive and personable. I was never let down when I had a question or needed help. 4) The didn't try to scam or upsell me like their competitor. They actually reached out to me at the end to let me know my service was complete and they would stop autopayments! ********* to The Credit People! The Credit People, Inc. Response
