I first started receiving "bills" from this company around August of 2024 claiming that I owed them money for being seen in the local emergency department in Logan, Utah. I found this strange because my family is insured through Medicaid and we shouldn't be receiving bills for medical services provided. I contacted my insurance to ask if they had received this bill, to which they replied no. I then called the help number, ###-###-####, on the bill from Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists to inquire of the nature of this bill. Once I had explained the situation to the customer service agent, he quickly told me that "their network was currently down" and that he would call me back once it had been restored. I asked approximately how long that would be, to which he replied that there was no way of knowing. I have now received two more "bills" from this company and never got my phone call returned. After inspecting their website, ************************, the entire company seems like a scam because of the numerous broken hyperlinks, very suspicious payment page that appeared to have no form of security or protection for your credit card information, a poorly made FAQ page and even another page that my browser, Google Chrome, flagged as suspicious and wouldn't allow me to view.

My husband received treatment from the Logan Regional Hospital Emergency Room in 2018. Apparently, bills are sent not only from the hospital but also from the providers through a different company. No bill was ever received from Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists. Almost 6 years later we are receiving a notice from a debt collector regarding the bill from this company we had never heard of. We assumed we had paid since we had paid to the hospital. We have yet been be able to get a hold of Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists as they are "temporarily" unavailable. If we can't get a hold of them we will have no choice but to contact this debt collector. This is not the first time this company has done this to their patients. I have read multiple reviews about patients never getting notified that a separate bill from the hospital will be sent, let alone never receiving a bill in the first place. The only reason anyone finds out about this company is when a debt collector is reaching out to us about unpaid balances.

Received one bill and the website to pay never works. ********************* is never a functioning website and have tried a dozen times over a 2 month period. The telephone number is also disconnected, stating to call back later. Never was able to pay for lack of the company providing a way to pay and the bill was sent to collections within 2 months of the bill without any warning or notice. The bill has been paid in full with NARS collection immediately because we actually had an avenue to pay the bill.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN EMERGENCY SPECIALISTS, LLC: I have never received a written bill or even an email from these people (Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists). Next thing I know I have a sketchy debt collector (North American Recovery) calling me to collect a $23.33 debt on behalf of Rock Mountain Emergency Specialists. I tried contacting Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists directly but I get an automated message every time: "we aren't accepting any calls at this time." I was also reported to the credit bureaus over $23.33. This company is a fraud and as unprofessional as can be.

Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists is running a legal scam along with NAR Inc and Olson S***** Attorneys at Law. In January 2020 I went to the emergency room at Intermountain Healthcare in Logan, Utah. I received bills from Intermountain Healthcare for that visit of about 400$ which I shortly paid off. I did not receive any other bills. Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists had charged me an additional 118.03$ which I do not have record of. I never received any calls, or letters. They do have my correct number and mailing address. In contrast, I had many visits the beginning of the year to Instacare and the Emergency Room. Every visit had been paid quickly. Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists then sent my bill to NAR Inc for collections. Again, I never received any information for this bill. Olson S***** Attorneys are now suing me for 5x what that bill was. If you read the other reviews for Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists as well as the other two businesses, you will see the same story. They charge small amounts, the client is not informed, they send it to collections within a couple of months, and then you are sued. It's not enough money to go to court over and that's what these companies are betting on. Slimy business tactics.

I went to the IHC hospital for an emergency appendectomy. We paid every bill we received. One year later we get served by an attorney for a bill from ROCKY MOUNTAIN SPECIALIST. NEVER, not once did we get a bill or a phone call. Then we had to pay $500 more due to attorney fees. There is a post on Cache county 411 on Facebook, that has 165 comments of this exact thing happening to them. This is fraud, they need to be stopped.

Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialist charge me illegally for services that were covered by Medical and did not notify me at the time of service that physicians may charge a separate fee outside of what is paid for by medical. According to Federal Law, doctors are not allowed to charge for services not covered by Medical. Ie, when going to the ER, Medical pays for the entire hospital cost, treatment, diagnosis and the physicians fees. Rocky Mountain Specialist charged me separate physicians fees and those accounts have gone to collections this hurting my credit report. I have disputed these items with all three Credit reporting agencies yet Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists refuse to remove the items from my Credit report. The US Department of Health and Human Services has indicated to me that I was illegally charged for services outside the scope of what medical is willing to pay and that the doctors committed fraud by charging me a separate fee. I would like these items removed from my credit report as I had Medical at the time I had services.

My husband received care at LRH on June 21st in the ER. We spent 1-night n the hospital before we were sent home. Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists took care of him in the ER. We did not receive a bill for the balance owed for some months ($332. 52), by March of 2022, we asked them to submit the claim again as it was part of a larger batch of clams that was not paid. They denied the claim and then sent us directly to a lawyer for collection. They did not send us a follow-up bill, no communication, nothing!!! I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to figure out what they have done. Rocky Mountain Emergency Specialists refuses to work with me, as well as their collection company NAR. I have to deal strictly with the lawyer (Olson S*****). Our bill went from $332.52, to $682.52 on 5-18-22 and then to $820.29 today (5-25-22). The lawyers office refused to help us out with the entire mess. The payment plan they said we could set up came with even more fees and garbage added on. I literally had no choice but to put the entire amount on a credit card because of the headache they have caused. I could have easily paid the $332.52 had Rocky Mountain let us know the claim was denied in March. Instead they literally raped us of money we do not even have!!! I would appreciate someone looking into this and helping us recover some of our money. They fact that they are allowed to practice their billing in this way is an outrage.
