i believe this company is guilty of predatory practices. I was approached by door to door sales, was told that I would end my dependency on the energy companies. I was told I would only pay the amount of the monthly payment which would be determined by the lending company forthe panels. I never completed a credit application; honestly didn't think I would be approved based on the fact that I am retired with limited income. My installation occurred by late 2021 early 2022, I have been waiting for a $00.00 electric bill which was promised would happen. I recently was informed by the lending company that my monthly payment was going up because I did not submit the tax credit I was eligible to take in my tax return. Wrong again, I didn't qualify for the credit because I am retired. This company also has pending government action in the ******************, the case filed by the State District Attorney specifies the exact same predatory practices used against me.******************Review from Margaret H

I am embarrassed to say that I signed up with Avolta for solar panels. They are awful and I don't think they even exist anymore. I have called every number that I have and nothing goes through or it definitely does not go to a customer service live person. I was hustled by several salesmen over the course of about 8 months. They sent me documents, came out to the house to take measurements and made a lot of promises regarding payment, etc. My panels appear to be working but, I am having another electrical issue because of the install. I was given a phone number to call by the loan company but that number is disconnected. I looked online and have called every number that I found including the one found here, all disconnected or not going through. I'm concerned that if something goes wrong with the panels there will be no warranty or recourse. After looking at all of these negative reviews it makes me sick that I trusted them. The same company has probably created a new company by a different name. I give them negative starsReview from Lisa S

No STARS! Very poor service. We had the solar panels installed Dec 2021, we thought they are working, but the app they gave use to check service always said 0, so we didn't know if it was really working. Trying to contact someone to help, but no answer and no way to contact them any other way. We are now paying for the loan and power bill together. BIG SCAM!!! Looking for a way to stop payment on the panels until they are working again.Review from Wentao Z

Be careful!!! Don't sign your payment agreement before the local utility company approves the overall design!! It has been three years since I started ************* project with first *****, then Brio, now Avolta. About Six months into the project, I signed the loan agreement and started making payment. Right after, the project design was rejected by local utility company due to oversize. It has been nightmare ever since. Two and half years later, the system size is reduced to the size approved and is working, but Avolta still hasn't refunded me the extra charge (40% reduction of the number of panels!) IT's such a nightmare........for three years... and still not over... Don't know how long it will continue....I may never get my money back... ******************Review from Gary S

2 years ago, I started the process for solar installation. It was finally completed (with many headaches of poor communication, constant changing cost, etc) but is not functioning as it should. Many panels are not accumulating as they should so the power intake is less than half of what it should be. I've reached out several times but never got a response and now their contact email address is getting kicked back as undeliverable. I now have to pay for MANY years for a product with no support and not fully functional. There should be a law suit against this company and now I'm in debt due to their false promises/contract. If I could choose zero stars rating, I would.Review from Kim A

I guess I am one of many customers who are thoroughly disappointed in the solar panels I purchased. The inverter stopped working in the 1st year. It took a couple of months to get fixed. It did get fixed but the loan payments I made for 3 months of no solar was never reimbursed and customer service is useless. I hope this company is thoroughly investigated and that the customers are reimbursed. I regret that I did not check BBB first before signing a contract.Review from Virginia A

Only because I have to give a star. They deserve ZERO!! Everything others have written on here is the absolute truth! This company is a NIGHTMARE! And DO NOT look for your rebate because you will not get one. We will not be getting one because one or more contractors do not participate in the solar power contractor network. So, now we are also out 8-10,000 dollars. Stay AWAY!!!!Review from Theresa D

Ony reason for a 1 star is because I have to leave a start otherwise I would not have. I originally signed my contract with *********** the installation took several months. Once I was told the system was working we continued to see electrical bills from the energy company. Four months went by as they told us it would take time before we saw it making changes to our electrical bill. The 5th month we called and was told by someone the system wasnt working and would need to send out a tech. We informed them and told them we wanted a reimbursement for the months we had paid and it was not working. that was from March 2021 (we have not heard from anyone.) The system began working in July 2021. By December 2021 the system quit working and has not worked since December it is now October 2022. Avolta Solar is now listed as the solar company in charge. I have attempted to contact the customer service, technical support and the reimbursement department being told by the same person answering in each department that they can not help me and will forward an email. I have contacted all numbers listed by Avolta all leading to the same 1 person answering each line. I still have not been contacted by anyone from Avolta for technical support, reimbursement or customer service. This company is an absolute scam and do not suggest anyone using them.Review from Justin B

I signed an agreement in Sept. Of 2021. It is now Sept of 2022. I have received random calls over the last year saying they are working on my solar project yet nothing has happened. When I told them I wanted to cancel they threatened to charge me 15% of the project cost even though they had done nothing. On a random day another company 1Solar, showed up to install panels. Funny enough they had the wrong panels. That was in February. It has been so long now that the company doing the financing need me to sign another extension on the contract, which I won't be doing. What an awful predatory company. Nothing but a scam.Review from Kenneth W

WARNING!!! THIS IS A SCAM! WARNING!!! !!!IM A FORMER SALES REP!!! this company. The owner ********************* and sales manager *********************** are scam artist. This company is not legit at all. what they do is pay for foreign call center leads have a sales rep ***** trained to lie to you and come to your home and high pressure you into getting solar and once the system is on your roof they do not back up warranties nor have customer service and the majority of systems WILL NOT GET TURNED ON!! Meaning you will have 2 bills in the mail a solar bill and also a power bill. Also this company and these sleepy owners have false proposals what they do is offer 60% offset with the solar and say with energy efficiency upgrades that are given with help offset 40% ***** also a scam.
