I am warning people about Peapil Publishing. Peapil Publishing uses deceitful business practices and they have scammed me out of my money and refuse to refund me. On 01/12/24 I placed an order for a free cookbook only intending to pay the $9.95 shipping fee. After I entered my credit card information and went to complete my purchase a series of additional offers came up for Ebooks. At the top of the screen it stated that my transaction was not yet complete. After accidentally adding the first few offers to the cart, I realized I can skip over the offers. I planned on deleting them out the cart before the purchase was finalized but the payment for those additional orders automatically went through for a total of $89.95. I contacted the company less than one minute later. I received an email stating that they are out of the office on and they would contact me back the next day. They contacted me two days later stating that I was not eligible for a refund. Several emails later the tried to remedy it with a gift card for more products. I declined. I never downloaded the ebooks and I don't plan to download the ebook. I just want my refund. This is a fraudulent company. At this time they have not refunded me.

As per your own words above, "after accidentally adding the first few offers to my cart" we appreciate you confirming that your order was indeed not fraud as per your false statment below. Furthermore, this transaction was paid with ***** pay and was verified with Biometrics.This order was confirmed multiple times. We are more then happy to provide these facts. We truly apologize that you did not have a great experience with us and this is why we offered you a gift card. However, your order was delivered exactly how it was placed and as per our policies. As our polices very clearly state, once eBooks have been marked as delivered and/or opened by the email address that was provided at the time of order, they can no longer be refunded. We dismiss your statment that this is fraud and are happy to continue to prove this as such. We delivered your order exactly how it was placed. (please note it does look like your physical book is still currently in transit with the ****) Please also note that we responded to you within 1 business day.Customer Response

My statement was not a false statement. Your company scams people by using their credit card information after their initial transaction. The items should be placed in a shopping cart and the order should be finalized afterwards. I have not downloaded your cookbooks at all. I only opened the email with my receipt. I can prove that I did not download the books because they're not in my download history. I can get this information from my phone servicer. And my wifi provider. Your system charged my card 3 different times but I only authorized one charge. No other online store operates this way. You're a scamming company. Shame on you. My original email was sent Sunday and I did not receive a response until I sent a second email on Tuesday. I am warning people about your deceitful tactics.Peapil Publishing Response

Hi ******, we continue to reject your false information around your order. Your order was placed and paid for with Apple Pay and verified with biometrics, not once, but twice. Your order was placed correctly and accurately from IP address: **************. This IP address is registered to you and your device. As per our policies, we do not refund Digital products and eBooks after your email provided has confirmed the email has been delivered and/or opened to which you have confirmed it was multiple times. We are sorry that you may have accidentally ordered more eBooks then you wanted and this is why we went above and beyond to support you by offering a $85 gift card.Review from Suzi L

Peapil Publishing uses deceptive advertising. They offer a "free" recipe book. Once you click on the web page, you find that he shipping is $9.95. When I tried to get the book, I was forced to go through 6 different pages of additional offers. More offers of books. All are groups of books. They say get these five additional books for $9.95. Then another group for $3.95. Then, five more for $5.99, but the offers turn out to be per book, to a package, and they are non-refundable ebooks, where the first book has a money back guarantee. At the end they DO NOT give a total invoice until you complete payment. Then they email an actual invoice. Many many people including me had the same experience. They expected to be charged ,$9.95 shipping. But the invoice was for multiple EBooks which are non-refundable. When I emailed to complain about being charged $142 and asked for a refund they told me they could cancel my "free" book, and refund the shipping, but they refused to refund the ebooks that I don't want. When I complained again, they gave me a partial refund for the unwanted boks, saying I should consider it a discount and a good deal. They still owe me $84 that they refuse to return.There is a ******** group all of whose members got the same bate and switch and were charged over $130.Peapil Publishing Response

After several, and continuous conversations with ******* she has been refunded in full. We simply have no idea where she is getting the above price points. ********* statment; "They say get these five additional books for $9.95" is false, we do not currently sell a group of 5 books for $9.95. Furthermore, we currently (and at the time of her order) do not sell products or product bundles for "$3.95" and "$5.99".When she originally reached our to us, she was provided with a partial refund and a gift card totalling $120 and was allowed to keep the products she ordered. We immediately canceled the physical products in her order as per her request as they had not shipped ****** regards to the eBooks she ordered, as per our refund policy, once we have confirmation of delivery and proof the email/files were opened, they cannot be refunded. These eBooks were ordered and the email was opened from IP address ************* which is registered to *******.However, again, given the entirely of this situation she was offered a gift card of $120 and was refunded in full.
